Glad that I was able to find several bottles. Looking forward to the comparison for this Tequila. I did not mind the Cabernet influence - I thought that is added to the flavor.

Baby Tears is exactly right! And for 1/3 the price of its big brother, I think this a better buy by any measure. Any chance you'll ever do a Thirsty Thursday on these Sleeper Baby Brothers? You've now looked at AN1146, you've discussed Statesman. Not sure if you have a Rye, Irish or Scotch in mind that fits the same role. I'll nominate Real McCoy as the Baby Brother of the Foursquares for the Rums.
Doorly's would also be another good pick for "baby foursquare"

Nice presentation box. I bought a bottle years ago must be about 6-7 yrs. There was no box then and I paid about $60 with taxes. Might grab a new bottle to compare the new and old.

I think most anejo's I've had, the traditional taste of agave becomes less pronounced. If your looking for a more traditional taste of tequila, maybe reposado is more your profile.
I just picked one in Houston at Total Wine & More. It has no box, just the bottle. Not sure why.

Hello gentlemen, great content as always. I just wanted to relay that my ol lady was in Atotonilco El Alto a week ago & I had her look for this bottle! The local store said it was export only, I also had her looking for that Centanario Anejo ( green edition ) but no luck. She ended up being back a Don Julio 70. I am such a radical judge after watching your content, some would say I became a snob! In all reality I enjoy Curiosity Public reviews, usually heeds me one way. How’s don julio 70 rank? I know they are additive city , I’ve had before. It’s usually the bottle her family retrieves constantly.anyhow. Atotonilco is excellent. Curiousity public is as well! Cheers! ( I’m indulging on Makers mark 46 cask strength paired with a perdomo 12 year )

People should understand that .. añejos and extra añejos will lose the agave flavor (not always ) but your going to be getting a lot more wood , bourbon flavors , barrel influence , and just overall different flavors than your typical tequila (smoke, sweetness , Cabernet etc ) … if you want typical tequila taste … drink a blanco or reposado ..

Tasted ArteNOM 1146 next to Tears. Can definitely pick up the distillery character. It's fair to say ArteNom 1146 is baby tears in that sense, but the oak and cabernet influence overwhelm the agave. Reminds me of a bourbon that's sat in the barrel too long. While Tears balances everything perfectly.

all ready heard 2009 Foursquare is not as good as 2008 but still very good and better than 2007. Look for another price increase. a few years ago 12 year CS was $60-ish and now it will be at least $85 or more
I’m so hurt I bought this today but didn’t come in a box 😔
Bought it when this video came out. Opened it three weeks ago on my daughter’s baptism. I may have had high hopes on this one but, I didn’t enjoy it. Other guests did but, I didn’t. Maybe tequila isn’t my cup of tea. 🤷🏻
