What a great work, Buzz, bringing back to life a radio 90 yo, making it looking like new and working fine. Enjoy your month of leisure listening to your old records and enjoying a good beer.
A double salute to you Buzz ,some long hours put in that restore ,a Beautiful angel radio singing from the Heavens ,Who one base ball game in the film archives ,looked a hot day ,Well done Buzz.
Hi Doug...imagine my surprised when I tried to slide the chassis into the cabinet and it didn't fit!...after cussing, I almost cried......but a little sandpaper did the trick! happy Easter!.🐇🐇
Hi Bill...the speaker turned out great.......i sure didn't want to make a mistake. as the Beavertown police were watching and hoping to catch me and charge me with another speaker abuse! 🤣
Hello Buzz from a rather wet Manchester UK. What a wonderful looking radio. I'm so glad I found your channel. Loving the tunes my parents would've danced to as well. 👍
This is what i needed to see after a work day, a skilled artisan at his craft and Buzz cinema with a look into a 1968 Sunday baseball game,no guns,no flights no errors what a home run Buzz
Absolute genius buzz , these sounds and visions make so so nostalgic for a time I was never in , I can’t thank you enough for your channel and work , you and Ron both make my day when you post
thanks Peter for taking the time to respond to my video!....I really try to make my videos watchable and not boring. Your comment is much appreciated. cheers. 🍺🍺
Buzz, Holy WA!! Excellent you really out done your self this time. This definitely a jewel in your crown. From the 1929 Philco to Stromberg Carlson to constructing a cabinet on the mystery cathedral radio and building a chassis on your Indian head radio. Thanks for letting come along for the ride🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺. Dean
Hello Buzz! Around that 21 min mark was the most excitement I've had in 63 1/2 years! That hammered paint was just the ticket. I can tell you that I've been hammered a few times also but not from paint but something a tad stronger. I did get nervous from that scewus driverus close to the cone but it worked out great. GODFREY DANIELS!! Buzz makes his own trim pieces! That's an incredible amount of talent. Buzz is the Best in the West and in the East, the North and the Sunny South. Buzz, I really enjoyed this four part series. I think the radio looks fabulous and is sexy too. I think she's better than new. Old Atwater Kent would definitely approve. P.S.Thanks for the time capsule of America's past time.
I am proud that the "Ghost of WC Fields" enjoyed my humble video! If you were still alive, I would ask for a signed autograph photo from you! If you happen to run into old Atwater Kent up there in the great beyond, say "Hi" to him. Have you ever seen that guy looking for Carl LaFong again ? 😂😂.. Have a a couple of whiskeys on me! 🥃🥃
No, Yours truly hasn't seen that chap looking for LaFong, Capital L, small a, Capital F, small o, small n, small g! That seems like that would be the place down below if someone asked me that!
Hi Buzz. Beautiful job ! It sounds great. As always I liked and shared. Love the Songs and and most of all your Movies at the end. All my very best to you and yours.
Congratulations on another brilliant restoration. Your patience and attention to detail are impressive. Thanks for the educational and entertaining video!
hey thanks man...remember that tape recorder you helped me with many years ago? ..seems like ages ago, and yet seems like just yesterday....take care my friend.......Dickel says "hey"
Nearly 70, and i have not been to Clevrland stadium to see the Browns or Indians. I went to the old stadium once in 72 to see Billy Graham, and did the alter call. And i have not gone up into the infamous Terminal Tower that my grampa helped build in the early 30s. And never been to the R9ck n Roll hall of Fame. i am a native born Clevrlander, but missed out on most of the tourist places. I worked downtown during the 70s, and did enjoy going aboard the USS Cod submarine, Severence symphonie hall, and the meseums near there. I traveled around the ciry on buses and the rapid traans. Watching the ball game brought a flood of memories, I used to watch or listen to ball games too.
Easier blessing to you and your family from my family Buzz. 🐇🐰. Another winner 🏆! Your video productions are "just a beautiful thing". My grandfather would say: God bless him and your family. ❤ Leo
Buz what a great experience and very inspiring to me as I learned so much and can apply what I learned from you to my restoration really appreciate your videos and really well done and love the humor and background music You're awesome First class all they way looking for another great future video thanks for making it.
Outstanding video series and job on the radio. As I was staring at the radio at the end of video and just before the cinematic masterpiece I was thinking that the AK 84 would be the perfect radio for listening to ball games on. One of us must have ESP N .
I say this on every restoration you do Buzz, but you have really outdone yourself. What an outstanding job in and out! Splendid work my young friend. Lynton G4XCQ P.S. My home restoration work is finished too, and the house is much warmer with all the new central heating radiators!
Clever sardine can restuffing. Coil rewinding is the hardest part. You have to pay attention and neither of us has that much moola. Rebuilt choke looks good. Speaker repairing is a dicey proposition but you sailed right through it. Say what you will about old Atwater kent radios. They are built like the proverbial tank. Glad it works great Buzz cause you did so much to make it look fantastic again. Remember when taking the whole family out to a professional baseball game didn't mean taking out a second mortgage to go to it! Good times. Steve from IL
Can you believe those Dodger reserved tickets were $2,50...The lowest priced tickets were $1.50 way up on the third level!. I used to go to many games way back then.....very affordable for a teenager!

When you restore an old radio you really restore it better than when it came out of the factory. A good thing takes time.
