- The views of the most beautiful places in Finland from a German documentary about the coastline of the Baltic sea and a kantele melody played by Finnish artist Nostatus from his album Sanan synty released in 2006.
A kantele or harppu is a traditional plucked string instrument of the dulcimer and zither family native to Finland and Karelia. Its relatives can be found throughout the world, including Estonian kannel, Mari kusle, Russian gusli, Latvian kokle and Lithuanian kanklės. Together these instruments make up the family known as Baltic psalteries, they are also related to the ancient Asian instruments such as Chinese gu zheng and Japanese koto.
According to its etymology, the nearest relatives of Baltic psaltery are the stringed instruments kanun/ganun of the Mediterranean Sea (Balkans, Middle East, Transcaucasia) while, according to its structure, it would be sangultap, as well as a naras-juh/panan-juh of the Ob Ugrians (Khantians and Mansians).
Beautiful forests and lakes. Wonderful place!
It truly is beautiful here. I'm lucky to be born here. I spend a lot of my time in the forests over here at north karelia and it's the place to be for me. So clean.

I'm so glad I came to Finland, It's so hot here.
I was barely able to see summer in Estonia.
Irony?
Baltic folk What?
Finland is North of Estonia, so, one would expect it would be colder - not hotter :)
Lad, I've lived in Estonia for one half of my life and the other in Finland, I can say without a doubt that it's warmer here.
Maybe in Estonia you've lived close to the coast where due to milder maritime climate the summers are cooler & winters warmer while in Finland you've been further away from the Baltic coastline?

My knowledge is limited about your youtube channel but why it is baltic Folk? At least Finland is not a baltic country
Most of the content on my channel is related to Baltic people: Latvians, Lithuanians, Prussians. However, I sometimes also upload pieces of folk music from the surrounding nations that I can relate to because I feel that those who are interested in Baltic folklore should also be aware of its greater context. The Baltic psaltery ("kantele" in Finnish, "kanklės" in Lithuanian, "kokle" in Latvian) is something that Baltic people and Baltic-Finnic branch of Uralic family have in common.
Baltic folk Finnish the language is very similar to Estonian plus they are very closely related genetically.
Finland is not Baltic country geographically but culturally it is. Fun fact: Finland was populated from Estonia and other Baltic countries, our stone age culture was also same with Baltics.
If you compare Finnish and Estonian culture today, they still have more in common than with Sweden, Norway etc, when it comes to Estonia also our language is in same family group, rest of the Baltics having lots of people speaking languages belonging to same family group.
So in terms of Baltic people / folk, we really are Baltic.
Well we aint scandinavian, we aint russian, the ugurs have nothing to do with us apart from ~900 old words. Estonians are the only ones who appear similar, we understand eachother a little etc.
