I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying each ship has it's own 'last docked at' tag and will teleport you back to wherever that was when you die in that ship? Cos I always thought the 'last docked at' was a Commander variable
This actually happened to me after my second colonia trip, I called my Phantom up there (travelled up in an AspX) and then went exploring down, found a black hole and ended up getting stuck I had to self destruct because I forgot the rats existed and could rescue me, I couldn’t jump out of the system I jumped into I self destructed, and I guess my ship was seen as having last docked at my home station, cuz I was yeeted 22kly in 10 seconds
People be like "Waiting 3 days for your combat ship to transfer to Colonia just makes sense! It's ImErSiVe! It would be lOrE bReAkInG if it was there in an instant!" But they have no issue with your body resurrecting from the dead and then teleporting across the galaxy with yours ship fully intact after you have a hard landing on a high G world or your ship gets melted by the space clap when visiting one of the remaining giant space cthussies.
@@thespectator1243 to fix this would require either a special exception for the entirety of colonia or a fundamental overhaul of how the game calculates respawns. i don't think either is happening anytime soon especially since this is buried in the bugtracker
But I mean, you still need to make the journey to begin with. But at least the DBX isn't all that expensive so you can get there super quick with that. I still haven't unlocked engineers there despite having a krait there specifically built for it.
You can, but by using multiple sides you don’t need to wait for the one sidewinder to transfer back. For example, if you have 10 of them, you can use them, and when you come back to the bubble, transfer them back, and then immediately go there again with one of the other sidewinders
That's what I was thinking, it's probably about not having anywhere in system to be returned to? So you could crash into a star in an empty system. Self destruct? You try it out ;-)
@@Hichigo. you can get a sidewinder in jacques station and just blow it up. No need to do this with your normal ship. This does leave your normal ship in colonia though.
There's gotta be a way we can pull this without an active Titan. Last one is going down soon :) I've been away a few years...are there more of them we've identified out in the wild?

Should I make another one of these silly Elite tutorials? If so, on what?

How to go to Colonia instantly.
Step 1: go to Colonia
the real strategy
This is more a how to return
The production quality is insane for a game like this
You need more recognition from the community
Great, now I need to make a trip out to Colonia just in case I might want to travel to Colonia some day :-p

Exactly my thoughts
Thats exactly what I’m saying
It respawns you on the closest suitable station, one time i died in alpha centauri and respawned in hutton orbital, without previously docking there
@@keyfpenc11 it respawns you on the closest suitable station if there's one in system
The sense of humor on this one is just great

I love the way you edited this 🤣
Ah finally an elite.exe video
Excellent showcase ! You made me laugh, quite a lot ! 😃
Bravo et Merci ! 🤭
Holy shit this is amazing. What a well thought out game.

@@PXTother So if you are using a bug to go to Colonia, how is that not an exploit?

thank you i was wondering how i was gonna get back to the bubble for the update in one day
Why would you need multiple sidies? Can you not just reactivate the one after use by docking and transferring it to the bubble again?
You can, but by using multiple sides you don’t need to wait for the one sidewinder to transfer back. For example, if you have 10 of them, you can use them, and when you come back to the bubble, transfer them back, and then immediately go there again with one of the other sidewinders

Ok so you don't have to go to a titan you just have to die somewhere with no stations or carriers.
That's what I was thinking, it's probably about not having anywhere in system to be returned to? So you could crash into a star in an empty system. Self destruct? You try it out ;-)
IF that even works, i'm too far out to try.
do you thing this will work after titan disappear or stmh like that idk im new

How do you "suicidewinder" back to the bubble?
Can you choose another ship/destination if you don't use rebuy or what?
You destroy your ship and pick the free sidewinder option.
@@dissidia8876fights But what about your ship tho? Thats been engineered and grinded on? Lost forever?
@@Hichigo. you can get a sidewinder in jacques station and just blow it up. No need to do this with your normal ship. This does leave your normal ship in colonia though.
@Hichigo. Also you need a system that has no stations/carriers. So only live titans will work or just empty systems.

Can you not just go to an empty system and self-destruct?
i've occasionally had it not work before - in principle it should work but the titan systems are guaranteed to be empty
