Aside from all the RNG (yeah there's a metric fuckton for sure), the puzzle/logic/strategy of building good units is the most fun part of Summoners War for me. I'm interested to see if Nyx/Vancliffe are going to be able to extend the Seal debuff duration. If so they might just both make it into my RTA comp this season :D

Wait so seal is a removable debuff? Which means it can be blocked by will? I thought it would be something that directly affects the rune that the monster can’t do anything about… like dark onmyoji’s purple debuff
I'm so tired of people saying that tricaru is nerfed. The team itself isn't nerfed or was touched at all. The new abyssal floors just make it to where you have to actually think about your team. If that's all it takes for tricaru to be "nerfed" when new content comes out then where was the waterworks when the dimensional predictor came out? Or not being able to with the king slime? Actually learn team building and other units outside the same units in whatever the current meta is and grow a pair. The people I always see complaining about this are the same ones who never build crap saying the unit sucks without understanding what they actually do. Same one's who feed those same units just to be wishing the had it weeks later once someone who has the 'crazy' idea to try something new realizes it's really good.
triple seal rune is good for monsters that counters, but i hate that it could be cleansed. i hope it was not a debuff, so that it stays. just like every other rune who doesn't get affected by monster's skills
So it would be 100% chance with them equipped on the dark desert queen Neph wouldn't it? Seems it would be an op set for her to use in rta to keep them locked down
This rune set doesn't make sense to me since it is a lower chance than despair stun and only disable rune effects for one turn. The unit can still use all his skills (you can argue by using 2 sets you might have a slighter higher chance to proc)... on the other hand, stun is better in all scenarios except when there is a unit who violent proc out of the stun.... so, no, thank you, troll2us, but no
Here’s my own opinion on this, feel free to disagree, generally units that can strip whether is aoe or ST, works on seal runes. So if the units like the video mentioned, robo, jeogun, etc, works with seal rune, then ST strippers will work on seal runes, for example Cadiz, giou (would probably still be better on revenge), wind bayek, Vanessa, artamiel. Units that have inbuilt revenge like wind mk will also be viable on seal runes
These runes will help balance rta tremendously, just pure stats and strategy will determine outcome if the rune set activates, triple seal rune sets is my goal.
I have to disagree with bagel on that one, that not a whole lot of units would be built with triple seal runes. Take a fast stripper/multi hitter or a fast multihitter that decreases atk bar and strips like cheonpung snd put triple seal on em to lock down the entire opponents team. Because remember set effects are a massive part of the game. If they are "sealed off" you basically destroy the enemies game plan.
Almost came back to sw when I heard about seal runes. 15% activation rate is low at least make it equal to vio proc rate. I know that it’s a 2 set vs a 4 set and stacking 15% twice is close to vio proc rates but I don’t think builds like that would be viable. Nerfing tricaru for me is a hard pass. Why do I want to build another set of farming teams?

don't atack verde with seal runes he will revenge anyways if he is in revenge even if you land the seal debuff, revenge procs first then seal is how the game works, maybe they fix this so seal is more usefull, really usefull against vampire units like douglas anyway but not a great set 2 in general
I dont think despair is a good option for seal, if the enemy gets stunned they cycle a seal turn therefore deactivates/removes it then unstunned, which means they can prok afterwards, just saying
Not looking forward having to build new teams for the new dungeon and the changes to the others. But with instant rune upgrades will make these new task tolerable.
i wonder if higher level players are going to try and put seal runes on their units right away and sacrifice some speed, or if they're going to wait until they get fast seal runes
I think it's unclear how the seal runes work. If you've got vio/revenge which one will be deactivated ? If you've got 3 revenge set how does it work does it deactivate one revenge set or the 3 of them ? It will just switch how ppl rune mobs and will be another up to will runes
Can you "seal" Rift Bosses? I know they don't have runes, but does it still apply the debuff? If so, that's another debuff.......(thinking Kro / Naomi / Brandia / etc)
People spent months farming better runes and grinds for tricaru so they can use it, and now they just gonna nerf it like it's nothing, people spent so much to get this team to be consistent, is this what they deserve, wtf, what's the point in farming and building consistent teams if they are just gonna nerf them, what's the point in even playing this game with all that said.

@MohaASeck Nyx can't extend inability effects. It has been confirmed that Nyx can extend Seal effects now that the update is live.
If you have triple seal and attack all 4 enemies, you have a 90% chance to seal at least one monster. If it bypasses immunity this could be huge

I use Riley on all fight runes, and it is so good for PvP. Not useful for defense but on offense its totally worth it.

Yeah it really seems like Seal is gonna be the new thing for super fast control cleaves to farm for. Not allowing bruisers to violent proc.

You could use Seal in ToaHell for that stage with Violent modifier.
