- This is quick, middle assembley review of the iconic WWII bird Junkers JU-87B Stuka. The engine is NGH 38cc four stroke petrol, that can still be bought on HobbyKIng. We will try to assemble the baby during the winter so we can see it in all its glory in the summer.

This will be the pinnacle of your flying careers to date!! Capt Robert...many years ago, I was given a 1/9th scale P51 that was partially assembled. I bought a beautiful new DLE26 engine for it, but I never completed the plane and ended up selling the entire kit and engine for $300. Good luck my friends! Looking forward to seeing it fly!

First i have to salute you from germany on a rainy day. I'm following your channel for about a year now. This video inspired me to look for the same engine to be mounted in my future stuka. Wanted to by one from phoenix or black horse. Found a motor near my hometown and guess what.... the owner planed the same project with esm 2m stuka which is now mine 😁 Payed 450 euro for the arf stuka "D" model and the ngh 38 including a wooden prop.

Best project so far! I'm sure you knew that many Stuka pilots removed the Jericho siren because it announced their arrival to anti aircraft battery positions, but it would be awesome to see you make one!!! FOUR STROKE, OH YEAH!!!!!

WOW, a beautiful plane the Stuka is..... Pilot Robert you look like a kid in the candy store with this plane.... The excitement in your eyes and voice as you talk about this.... We cannot wait to see it take to the air and yes they are a plane that has to be flown all the way from take off to landing.....

Make sure you check the hinges to the control surfaces!! HK OFTEN put them together with NO glue !! so be careful!!! Beautiful plane! great vid Fella's

I have a Messerershmitt bf109 by ESM and the construction and colors looks very much like this plane gentlemen. I think this plane might well be made by ESM. Beautiful plane by the way.
Great looking plane :-) I have that engine. I ran mine in on the bench, installed it in a plane and found it needed re-tuning to run inverted. I'm looking forward to seeing how you get on with yours :-)
That is great, Stuka is an awesome model and will be anxious to see progress. Old school models are labor of love. Small assembly steps and you will be rewarded for the efforts

Looking at the box it looks like a Goldwing RC or ESM plane, they both have that honeycomb carton boxes, they are very strong boxes for there planes, very nice plane, and that engine is perfect for it, can't wait for the maiden

Now that looks like a beautiful project. Can't wait to see that baby up in the air. Really need those sirens too, that would be the cherry on top of the icing. Good luck with that, they are harder than they look to build. I have made many from sheet/stick kits and these aren't a whole lot easier. Well yeah, they are a whole lot easier but still not easy.
I have looked for one of these and no luck here in the US.. (always unavailable) The wing design for this warbird and the Corsair are beautiful designs for the time periods... The Stuka is expensive here not even on this large of scale!!! Stuka bomber and the large scale Zero I am anxiously awaiting their flights!!! Can’t wait! These will have to be perfect weather maidens in my book! Quite an investment and they are both emasculate aircraft! My Daughter, Addison, 8yrs old loves the look of the warbird and your new fox glider! Thank you again for your always enjoyable content!
You can get one most that big from Phoenix Models distributed by Tower Hobbies. Right now i believe that they have a 20cc version and a 50 to 60 size version at a very good price as well as quality. I own several Phoenix planes and have been very satisfied with all of them. At first i thought this was a PHOENIX BIRD.

Pilot Robert and Captain blaz, you asked about making the siren sound like a Stuka would do in a dive. What about taking out the whistles from a nerf gun arrow. You could use a servo to operate it , so when you go into a dive the whistles will be exposed and you should get that sound your looking for .Its only a suggestion. 👍👍👍👍👍

Its ESM. Fitting the flaps and ailerons can be fun :) Upgrade the wire on the elevator pull/pull or use carbon rods and ball links
This thing is brilliant, I only finished reading Stuka pilot yesterday, it's about Hans Rudel....great book, bit hard to read at times,because his views were so Nazism influenced...but a great account of his life, so I'm keen as to to this flying....

That is a Junkers Ju-87D by ESM RC Model Planes. That company is no longer in business.
I believe in the real thing, there were dive brakes that made that sound that put fear into the hearts of everyone on the ground that heard it. Not sure if they are provided on that kit.

Because we are nosy North Americans (Canada here), I wonder if you have ever talked about what you brothers do in your private life, work, other hobbies etc. I am seeing a lot of metal working machines in this workshop and ducting. Yes, very curious about your professions. (I am very impressed that engine is only about $300 from Hobby King.)

Actually there was a USA company that made wing sirens! They stopped production a couple of years ago, but I will research the info and find out for you.
Okay, it was the "i4c Products Air Screamer
" and it has actually been over 10 years that they stopped production! 😲

Evening guys, HELL of a great War Bird fellows... the siren on the -JU-87B Stuka had the sirens on the wheel pants and the force of the airflow on a dive would activate them...see the image below...

Woooahh that is exciting stuff! Very nice gents! Is it about the right scale to fly with the Avios Spitfire? In real life there was a 4m wingspan different... There are some great videos on YT to do nice scale weathering and paint chipping if you want to make the Stuka a little battle worn. Best of luck with it you guys :)
