I've been hemming and hawing over what the Surprise model is this year, and am glad you made this video early. I only have a single all access ticket, and am really after Uffington and Seurat, so the surprise will be further down my list. In a way, I really hope it's not the Connemara Mare, because I am making a stab at a conga of her, and I would love to not have to track down seven ponies in the aftermarket. lol. I wouldn't mind a couple of Desatados to add to my shelf eventually, especially if the colours were great. Bobbi Jo seems like a solid top pick though. Paint Me A Pepto is retired, Spectrum was a recent release... It makes sense.
I really see Huckleberry Bey being used!! My fondest memories of going to the Breyer store and looking at the back of the boxes and seeing Huck everywhere! Absolutely an example of Breyer artistry!
I’d love for it to be Dundee, he’s so gorgeous and I don’t have one of him yet! I also think the Justadream mold is a super good possibility and would love to see her used more!

Great speculations! I’m really looking forward to seeing what the surprise horse will be! Although I didn’t give Bluegrass Bandit much consideration initially, I can definitely see why she would make an excellent surprise model. Not only is she highly popular, but she would look lovely in all sorts of colors! However, I’m a bit more convinced that either Desatado or Salinero is going to be this year’s pick. I say this because baroque equines have been widely used in the arts. When I went to the MET last year (before the apocalypse happened), it seemed to me that 2/3 horse art pieces were inspired by Iberian-style breeds. Desatado is Iberian. Coupled with his rearing stance, he also portrays film and the performing arts very well. Although Salinero is a warmblood, given his collective motion and semi-convex head, he could pass as a baroque horse. As for colors, I agree that Breyer is going to release seven colors. Of those colors, I assume at least five are going to be realistic and the rest decorators. I’m going to far as to speculate that one of the decorators may be a wood-grain because of the reference to architecture. We’ll see! :D
That's a great observation! Baroque horses would be perfect for the them! :D Also an interesting idea about them doing a woodgrain model! They rarely do them now, but this would be a good theme to bring back some vintage style decorators!
My bet is the Huckleberry Bey, because of what you mentioned and to also go with the anniversary models from Breyer coming out recently and him not being apart of that.
I kinda think that alborozo has a slim chance of being the surprise horse. I know they said they wouldn't use him again but, they also said that they were pulling out all the stops. And they have been reintroducing him as a stablemate
I wish that were the case! Unfortunately unless they make a new, altered mold of him (a flipped version for example, like the stablemate model) they couldn't use him. They definitely destroyed the mold for the original Alborozo, and while they do have a few models saved for OOAK live auction models, they definitely dont have 6,000 of them laying around xD I do wonder if they will make a new altered traditional mold of him someday though since he is so popular!
@@StormyStrikeVideos Tbh after seeing Sharif get mass produced through 2 different companies in 2 years, I think if it's a question of Eberl agreeing to it, she might be comfortable doing it at this point. I think we definitely will get traditional Alby back sometime. (And I know if I worked for Breyer, I would simply make him the surprise model and then order a truckload worth of popcorn. 😂)
@@perfectlyqueer1658 from my understanding they cannot do this unless they completely remake the mold. The alby mold was completely destroyed after his respective breyerfest, and I think people have speculated a rumor that his owners asked for it to not be used again.
As much as I love the Huckleberry Bey mold, I really hope it’s not that mold because the bases of both of mine have broken so awkwardly that it’s impossible to even pull the pin out :/ It would suck to have a broken Surprise horse imo I am crossing my fingers for the Arabian Mare mold lol
I hope it’s not on the Wyatt mold, I think it’s really exaggerated. Don’t get me wrong I love the Baby Flo that I have, it’s completely awesome! Just don’t think I would get another one

My number one guess is bluegrass bandit! But your video has me thinking Bobby jo is a close 2nd. My other guesses are Yasmin, Arabian mare, and Goffert to round off my top 5 guesses.
I know this vid is a little older now, but I just have to say your mock up of the green pinto Geronimo had me dying. If they would release a green pinto in that shade I'd be on a life long quest to get that thing! It looked a lot like the color stone has used for a few St Patty's day releases that I've never been able to get my hands on but always hoping to find.
I hope Cigar, Cleveland bay, Arabian mare or weather girl. Yet I don’t even have ticket for breyerfest.. I could get one but it wouldn’t include the surprise model.
I really think Dundee will be the Surprise horse. Bluegrass Bandit and Connemara are out because of Meadowlark and Victoria. The True Blue event was Australian themed, but, oddly, they didn't use Dundee; and this year is the 50 year anniversary of the Australian Stock Horse breed. Perhaps "pulling out all the stops" refers to a mold modification (mane/tail variation)? Bobby Joe would be my second choice, for all of the reasons you stated in your video, with Desatado being my third choice.
Fwiw, Dundee really doesn't have a lot of colors on his mold - Totilas and Just A Dream have paints, appaloosas, etc. Shagya Arabian also doesn't have a ton of colors. Of course, this would be irrelevant if Breyer decided to multiple molds in this surprise run, knowing that it might be online again this year, but I think the planning happened too early on to know definitively that it wasn't going to be in person, plus the logistics of multiple models might be more than they want to take on.
I definitely think all of your choices have great reasoning! I think Croi or Bobby Jo would be the "worst" for me as those are my favorites out of the group- but it always depends on colors. I tend to like 1-2 of each surprise and not really care so much about the others. I did buy 2 All Access tickets this year so we'll see...there are also a couple molds that are possibilities that I don't really care for, like the Arab Mare and Desatado. my guess ; it's probably gonna be dundee, salinero, or bluegrass bandit. lady phase is my 2nd favourite mare mold so i hope one day we get a surprise of her 🤞even though that would hurt my wallet. overall i just hope it isn't SCO , never been one of my favorite moulds :/

I'll have to include him in the follow up video as there's nothing preventing him from being the surprise from what I can tell.
I thought they might have stated something about this, but I can't find it anywhere. Last year they did stop 3-Day Tickets (Now called All-Access Tickets) around the end of May so that they could send out the Special Run Preference forums in June. I wouldn't be surprised if they did the same this year. The General Admission Tickets, however, will probably be for sell all the way through BreyerFest, or until they sell out.

Last year after watching your video all I could think of was “hope it’s Giselle”! Bobby jo, Dundee, desatado or Icodus would be amazing
