Thanks so much Katie, my dad and brother tv are looking into starting a podcast and I’m really happy that you made this series because so many people aren’t honest and genuine about their steps. Thanks for always leveling with us.
Wow!! I’ve been following you for a while but I just say you are SO GENEROUS!! I honestly feel like I would have felt great about paying for this information. God bless you! I’ll definitely be your loyal subscriber for years to come. I only wish you made these videos earlier!! But I’m still learning. Thank you Katie 😊
Katie, I have been watching and re watching your podcast videos and I noticed so many kinds of mics.. do you have a list? Rated list? Shopping list of all of them?? Which one do you like better??
I have looked at over 20 videos in the past 2 days on how to record audio on ur computer and have not had success! Thank you so much for breaking the process down to the root! For a moment I thought that recording audio and simply uploading it was no longer an option bc every video that I watch is promoting and trying to sell u an app! I also really enjoyed your tone and flow which made sitting through this episode very easy. I learned more from ur 12 min video than I have from days of other content. Youre a gem. Cant wait to dig into ur other videos. Not sure if u can help but I have adobe pro and when I try to record audio using premier 15 it only allows me to record voice for 29 secs before it turns off. When using audio on windows it only allows me to record for about 15 seconds before it automatically shuts down. Is there something that I can do to extend this time? Am I looking at all of this incorrectly? If ur not able or willing to answer I understand. If you are Thank you in advance you really are amazing ....your delivery!!!!
Note for those looking to buy the Fifine mic (which is great for the price, I'd recommend) - dont speak into the top of it like what was demonstrated here. Its not meant to pic up sound from there - speak into the front of it. Good video though
New subscriber here! Thank you so much Katie, I'm just getting started but your videos are so informative and straight to the point that I now feel like I can make it with much less effort. Keep up the good work!
Thank you for these wonderfully informative videos! Question: before publishing an interview podcast, does the guest have to sign some kind of release or agreement to have the podcast published?
I cannot seem to find a microphone and stand that go with that h5 zoom recorder any suggestions? I currently have the yeti mic and I don’t think it’ll work with that. Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks so much! I am planning a primarily solo podcast, however I live in a noisy urban area. Would you recommend the Zoom H5 for removing background noise?
A big thumbs up! Thank you for very much for your videos, Katie! I've watched so many videos on mics for podcasts, but I can't afford all that expensive equipment. I have a good XLR-mic (which I normally use for my singing/music) and a Zoom R16 interface, so I'll try to record my planned podcast with these.
Katie - thx so much. I've been doing audio for a bit now and trying to do video so I can move to TH-cam. But my videos (done through zoom) are severely lagging behind the audio. The small clip in the top right corner is perfectly in sync with the audio, but the bigger picture is wildly out of whack. Any tips?
Hello there, I hope all is well. This video was super helpful, I had a question though, others have suggested audio headphones, do you feel they're necessary for a solo podcast?
Great video, thank you! I have been fiddling with Audacity all week and can’t get it to work with my Mac, so I’m going to try the Zoom and/or QuickTime options!
Hello Katie. I am going to record my podast outside, but my interviewee will be remote. Which system do you recommend. Zoom H5 for me? Or would outdoor laptop set up be better? Thanks!
Thanks for sharing this info Katie! Just wondering, what equipment do you use to record audio for your TH-cam Vlogs and Videos? I'm having trouble making mine sound okay with the Blue Yeti, especially from a distance (if I don't want the mic in the shot)

So so helpful! Quick question…how do you record people on Zoom if they are just using their computer for audio?
love love love the way you explain everything!!!! thank you Katie..
This video series is exceptionally helpful. Thank you!

Hi Katie! I’m getting started and bought two mics and a mixer to record on my iMac.
What if you're recording with visual as well? Should it be connected to the camera ?
Thank you for being so considerate!
I am having trouble transfer my audios to my host platforms, any suggestions?
I also like how accessible all of your videos are to a wide range of budgets!

What app do you record on with your phone
I cannot seem to find a microphone and stand that go with that h5 zoom recorder any suggestions? I currently have the yeti mic and I don’t think it’ll work with that. Any suggestions would be great!
This is excellent!
If you do an episode over zoom, does it record the other persons audio as well ?
What Mic are you using? I don't see a mic so I assume it is wireless?
is there a USB option that is good for a two person podcast?
Id love to know this too.
Thank you so much! This video has been very helpful
How would a lapel mic work with a laptop to record my podcast? I already own it.
I've the same question!
Thanks so much! I am planning a primarily solo podcast, however I live in a noisy urban area. Would you recommend the Zoom H5 for removing background noise?

Katie, in a podcast...with background music or not? 🤔
There are no time stamps below.
But what if you have a podcast planned that has more than two hosts?

Recording inside the bathroom is I think a good place to record too... I guess
😂😂😂😂I love the echo in the bathroom tbh
Thank you for a very informative video
