Lots of people giving love to Danny and the first chap that talked to him a lot, but for me guys, that server was spot on. Perfect attitude and presentation, upselling but also saying "this will fill you up, you don't need any more" - really cracking service. Just goes to show what some maturity can bring, and giving all the fresh out of college servers their marching orders. Ten out of ten.

I remember as a kid being brought up in Lancshire and my Mum buying potato cakes on Saturday afternoon from the market hall, then warmed up and covered in butter when you got home watching Dr Who Brought back many happy memories. The food was gourmet for a small cafe. No wonder the place was full.

Lived on woodseats for years and we're so lucky to have great cafes and restaurants all on same road. That place is awesome for breakfast and lunch and we've also got el Greco,kitos,viraaj and dos amigos all on chesterfield road and of course the legendary woodseats kebab

Yh, this is why I love Danny, I grew up on a council estate in South London and know exactly what he's talking about...I used to know everyone and their mum, and they knew me...I could go to the shops at the age of 7 lol...Can't do that these days...I never had a garden until an adult, we were all outside together ❤️ Nice times

"That Place" reminds me of the Abbott & Costello comedy sketch "Who's on first base, What is on second and I don't know is on third". One of the greatest comedy routines ever made even though it is now 40+ years old - still as funny now as it was then. The food looked delicious considering it is such a small cafe. The service was first class, pleasant wait staff and a lovely atmosphere in the cafe itself even though you sit outside. The amount of food on each plate was enough to feed an army! They deserve a 10 or perhaps an 11 for the following: 1. Ambience 2. Friendly staff 3. Good quality food 4. Well presented 5. No scrimping on the amount of food on each plate. 6. And last but not least the price making it possible to bring the kids for a lunch without breaking the bank. 🇦🇺🇦🇺👍👍🇦🇺🇦🇺

This place reminds me of 19 Cafe Bar in Manchester. Amazing food, really great presentation and just a little cafe you'd walk right past. They are actually called Potatoe Scones in Scotland, you can buy them in supermarkets. Just make sure you cook them well until the outside goes brown. Great value at £27 for 3 big dishes.

My dad used to be a lorry driver & as a youngster I used to go on the road with him. In Scotland, he introduced my to tatty scones (potato cake) and they are delish. I wish we knew when you were coming to Sheffield!
You went past two of my favourite places in Sheffield to get to That Place, Poseidon fish and chips on the corner of Abbey Lane and Meadowhead Meats a bit further back by the roundabout which I think does the best pork sandwiches I've ever had.
Ayyy, that's my city! I live close to Woodseats and it doesn't take me long to get there (maybe a half hour - 45 minute walk/5 - 10 minute drive depending on traffic), yet I've never been into That Place. A friend of mine has though and I've suggested we go there together some time in the future; she sent me this video too and I'm glad she did, this was such a fun and comfortable watch! Hope you come visit Sheffield again, we have a few hidden gems around the place.
I reside in Oldham in the North-West of England and there is/was (not been in a while) a great little greasy spoon breakfast place that had a brilliant proverb on the wall, and it read... "WE DON'T SERVE FAST FOOD! WE SERVE GOOD FOOD AS FAST AS WE CAN" I've always remembered and appreciated that clever little quotable!

A friend of mine has though and I've suggested we go there together some time in the future; she sent me this video too and I'm glad she did, this was such a fun and comfortable watch! Good man Danny, I was born on a Council estate in Geordieland and it was amazing.... and i loved it ....but I started travelling with work and now live in Switzerland....but i will never ever forget my roots and who I grew up with .... Keep up the good work Mate !

I went last week, the food,service and atmosphere was great. Quality food from a very good chef at very reasonable prices.
Soon as that lady said potatoe cakes, I was screaming TATTIE SCONES!
I cannot believe that you have never had potato cakes... they sell them virtually everywhere, and they have been a traditional breakfast accompaniment forever....

Should try (GBK) Gourmet burger kitchen if there’s one near you or close enough to travel to. Recommend Taxi driver, Chunky fries , Onion rings , Dips - Baconnaise, Habenero Jam, Milkshake and Try a fresh and fizzy🍔🥤🍟
