I love how everyone tells their experiences with Italian and why they want to learn it so I'll tell mine: I was first obsessed with french and going to Paris, but french was too hard and after watching Eat, Pray, Love I just felt for Italy and the language, it's so beautiful (and similar to spanish which helps me a lot) so Im just tryna learn it fast so I can speak it fluidly and feel romantic even tho no one I know speaks Italian ao I'll just talk to myself and my gf who does not understand a thing I say :/

my grandparents were from Italy they passed when i was very young and was never able to catch their language my parents did not hold on to it and we've been in the US for many years i took an entry level course of Italian in college but it was very simple i really want to learn to speak fluently in Italian i know a bit but some word i have to read with subtitles

I would also recommend Manu Venditti's channel "Italy Made Easy" -- lots of Italian-language-only, dual-language, with-subtitles-and-without, varied content and instruction. He offers courses on a separate site, but his free TH-cam videos are charming, clear, informative, and great for listening practice.
