    I couldn't find the paper pattern for some silly reason, so just ordered the PDF. Absolutely LOVE the way you show us how to keep the fabric strips in order of the color story. Such a great tip to share, thanks so much. Blessings to you, your family and staff for this Christmas season.

    Thank you for giving advice when things aren't perfect (like the white fabric being a bit bigger than the print). As a new quilter, it's hard to know what to worry about, what will sort itself out and how/if I should compensate elsewhere somehow.

      You definitely need to compensate for it when positioning your pieces, but as long as you know how to fudge it, you don’t need to cut every one down.

    Please explain why the size difference is due to the manufacturer when you were the one cutting the strips?

    • @QuiltAddictsAnonymous
      @QuiltAddictsAnonymous  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      While Stephanie did cut the width of fabric, she did not trim down the length of the strips. Some layer cakes are right at 10 inches, some may be a bit smaller or larger.

    Why not cut up a white sheet?

    • @QuiltAddictsAnonymous
      @QuiltAddictsAnonymous  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Great question! A sheet often has different fiber content, a different weave and different quality of materials than good quilting cotton and over time your quilt will wear out differently.

    You should give the measurements

  • @deawallace3584

    You should title this as an advertisement to sell your pattern so people who want to know how to make the quilt will not waste time simply watching you fiddling with the fabric and sewing together while trying not to reveal how it is actually made.

      Thanks for your feedback. The tutorial is meant to supplement the pattern, not replace it.
