While they are very similar motorcycles, they share the same engine and DNA but ride differently. you have the "sport" windshield that's why...the normal windshield is taller and there is even a touring version that is even taller
both the same price here so why not get all options ? pannier riding is the same . which sits more upright; which has smore leg room. BAsics to talke about vs what you like . Why ? better seat for pannier riding needs to be flat; not angled like the XR . Weight difference why ?
Both have the same tyres? If yes. I will prefer XR.
Second question is : Can the handle bar on R version be adjusted to have same riding position as XR ?
I am 5'6" and will be adjusting height to 30.5 inch.
My XR came with the taller screen - only the red one defaults to short screen which is indeed useless.
Interesting.. Can you point me to your source where you got this info from?
When you select Galvanic gold metallic and Light white body color, you will see the long wind screen.

It is but so what? It goes to Germany and the Germans fit it into the bike. 3 year warranty.
@@PetroHead just wondering thats why its a little bit cheap. Bec. Here in our country they never said the engine was built in china. And we were all have a bad reputation when a product/s came from china.

You can buy them with lower ride height / seat.
@@PetroHead I'm a bit confused. So you can buy lower seat and also buy the bike with lower height (not by adding lower seat)? Does it have any height adjustability after buying?
Some BMW bikes have the option of lower seat height and after sale suspension adjustment because they are high end bikes. But most companies do not offer it.
The suggestion I made to the OP was to buy a bike like an R3 or N400 with an already fixed lower ride height (just as an example). You’ll notice beginner friendly bikes are already lower.
End of the day - who cares. Just watch this video and practice till you can ride any bike you want like me. Good luck.
