Recently flew on the a380 and from the looks of this, I feel the 787 / 747-800 is going to be a superior product. It takes more than a village to make an aircraft and I know the 787 (like the a380) is no exception but the window design and ability to have a higher cabin pressure alone are pretty awesome features. I prefer GE to RR in the engine department as well. I hope to get on one of these soon.

The 787 really is a beautiful bird. All this stuff you're seeing in the news is just growing pangs. You should have seen all the mess when the 737 (most popular passenger plane in history) was first introduced. Once they work all the kinks out, the 787 WILL surpass the 737 in that regard. That's what it was built for. A wonderful plane. Can't wait to fly on it!
I was supposed to fly this plane from EWR to IAH on November 4th on my way back from Paris CDG. But they changed it at the last minute for a 767-400ER, a nice plane too, but I was so disapointed. Next day back in IAH again for a flight to DAL (late) and I see it out the window rolling by ...
I guess the future planes will be planes with much more power so you can get from dest. A to B within a short time BUT then you wont be able to enjoy the view like you can from a plane like 787. Not even can you enjoy the view, but also enjoy the pleasure it gives you that it has very little noise.
Not a bright remark. First, they do not look 89, second it is always good to have experience and someone who can only come up with negativity is pretty pathetic. I would work on that.
The boeing 767 might be an old design in modern terms. But it is such a solid aircraft. It is an industry workhorse, and has probably less issues than the 787 in its 30 year service history. Fuel efficiency and being green is the name of the game, but honestly it will be sad to the 767 go away once this plane gets into full service. The 767 is the best plane for Coast to coast flights because its smooth big and powerful. Its a shame that AA is replacing them with A321's.
"Largest" depends on a number of things: United is largest when it comes to route network and number of destinations they service. American has flown the most passengers, and Delta has the largest individual fleet.
No I peasonaly think its American,Quantas or Quatar aiways.BTW American should really get the 747 family to Join thier currant fleet for flights to places like sydney,Hong kong or London from places all across America.
i been on 787 dreamliner..nothin really awsome bout this plane same boring seats, peanuts n water...no wifi installed ,thy said they'd do it in future..i mean really??? they took this long to come out with this crap...i coulda came out with a better design n features....
No offence but probably the worst 787 dramliner American,British aiways are way better and it's design is really not that good United would need a miracle for airlines like Quantas,Luthtansa,BA,AA quatar airways to drop from being the worlds best Airlines.

This was a great plane. I personally worked on it all the way to it's delivery to United.

I've noticed on all my domestic flights in the past 2-3 years that channel 9 was not available. I've flown United on the A320s and 737s

They currently do not have Channel 9 at the moment. They will be installing it along with WiFi in the future.
