I gave my 6 geese (3 girls and 3 ganders) a 25 square meters 60cms deep pond. I have introduced red fishes and water plants. Around the pond 3 birch trees and 4 Hazel trees to provide shadow, they just adore it!
I have a pet duck I've raised since was few hours old...mama abandoned her babies, scared off. Its a HUGE committment, not easy doing tons of work all day long keeping up with the muddy pools, muddy drinking dishes...wow...silly ducks!

If nobody is laying eggs then you can assume they are both ganders. have a 19 yr. old white chinese gander and his mate, annother chinese died last year at age 22. The heavier breeds may live a little less long but in general 15-20 somrthing is avergae for most geese, especially the lighter weight breeds like the chinese. Geese are wonderful pets. I always say they are the best "dogs" I have ever had. haha
Our Chinese Goose is named "George" and he Loves shopping for his own dinner in the produce isle at our Walmart...He has 40 videos on his TH-cam page !!!
There is a book titled " You can't Potty Train a Goose", but there is an Old common term "Like sh*t through a Goose" that is probably as old as the Pyramids !!! @@littleaaaaa

well behaved geese they are. i remember being on a fishing holiday last year at a lake in italy with a bunch of friends, and the owner happenend to have 3 huge white geese straight from hell trolling around the enclosed property. they would mindlessly attack just about everything in their closer proximity (what basically was everything up to 50 meters for those fuckers), and tbh in that week i learned a lot about having utter respect for those animals. and with respect i actually mean to just go the other way when they would approach us. never in my entire life have i even remotely witnessed such cocky, filthy and outright demonic behaviour by a bunch of animals, and their vicious hissing sounds when charging for my legs while i was running for my very life is still tingeling in my ears.
They are two different species of Goose: Greylag breed and swan goose breed. You should notice that they sing different songs. The swan goose is possibly female because there isn't a very big knob on the forehead.

Look at those sweet things go running down to there pool “your such an Angel 😇 I wish I had land or even space to have pets like them” I live in California 🙄 been here all my life to buy any type of land is for people who are rich n have money the closest place with land near me is Ojai or Simi Vally I Live in Oxnard on Silver Strand beach which is sort of like an island connected to the harbor n there’s one way in n one way out I am able to see the Channel Islands where Sauces Bald Eagles are we take our boat out to the island takes about 20 min. Depending on the weather or tides but I would love to live in a place like yours so I can have animals like that I’ve always loved birds since I was little my dad had bought me n my sister 2 baby ducks n they were so adorable they lived so long we had to give them to a really nice older couple when we moved n I was so sad but my dad would take us to visit them when he could ur so lucky 🍀 love your life ❤️😇💯❤️‼️

sassiebrat highly doubt this is all the outside time they get that’s shown,,, it’s probably only a fraction you don’t know how long she could be out there with the geese. aside from that a lot of farms do much worse. these geese don’t seem stressed in any way
I know I'm like really late but how do you keep you geese from flying away without clipping their wings? I've wanted geese for a while but I'm a little scared they will fly away. Also btw ucy and Moose are so friggin cute! Shakin their little booty feathers and all!

Why did you decide geese over ducks? It's not often you hear about geese being selected as the pet over ducks or chickens :-) Usually hear about the geese being for protection of the flock or something like that
actually, the breed of goose she has is one typically raised for meat. so the area you are talking about is most likely fat. many breeds of domestic geese have this.
If I had 4 geese, I would call them Red, Blue, Dexter and Sally

I had a Talouse and an Oriental almost 9/and 8 years respectively. Named them Niles and Daffney and had Niles trained to give me the wings !
