- Claudia Lawrence and her disappearance has baffled the nation. It has caused many to try ascertain her whereabouts. One person in particular followed Claudia's trail, beginning a journey from West Yorkshire, to the North. Finding strange events that no one was prepared for. #Crime, #missing .

I think Jen king is rough, as in hard faced. For one so young back then she can certainly stand her ground, she’s got that sort of rough and ready bully feel about her, street wise, but not in a good way - more like a bully sort of way, she knows her way around a pound. She definitely knows something, in my opinion she knows exactly what’s happened. She’s dropped quite a few Freudian slips in the videos I’ve watched of her. One being “this is not the way I wanted it to go” that is not a normal opinion or thing to say, it insinuates she had some knowing or some control or some involvement and a mistake was made - the mistake being the public scrutiny on her and others. She was working in the pub that night, meaning she had to pass claudias house on the way home, why not give her a knock to see if she was ok? Whether it was late or not if she was worried as she said she was the she would have. I don’t understand why none of them knocked on her door but instead organised for someone else to do that. Also where did they get claudias fathers phone number from to contact him? That Jen king is no one’s fool but there’s something very sly about her and Suzy cooper too they knows what’s happened to her
Hi @Sophh33, You are spot-on. She walked passed 'us' once, and gave a very dirty, dead eyed glare... At first, we didn't know it was Jen k. Then when I realized that it was, I doubled back to her, but she had gone! :)
I think what she meant by not the way she wanted it to go was all the rumours about CL’s private life …. As in the the interest of fairness both her and Suzy said CL was not like how the media/rumours hinted at …. Anthony Newby was the friend that lit the fire for most of the rumours the press jumped on in the Daily mail interview with him .. that is still live on line if anyone wants to search for it…. The worst rumour came from the women that was scorned (BH)and she had a right to be angry with CL….. maybe she should have been more angry with her lad (LH) …. Claudia may have been fed some bullshit too and fell for it… or just as possible she instigated it… doubt we will ever know
I think Jen king knows. She’s had a key at some point as she lived with Claudia, she’s had ample opportunity to get one cut. I reckon she took her straighteners too - you can see from photographs that she wore her hair straightened back then but she will have got rid of those pretty much straight away. Has anyone seen the video of her talking about Claudia where she’s reminiscing with Suzy and says “that stupid baby voice she used to do” you can see a quick look of contempt on her face, and not only that you don’t talk about someone that way if their missing or assumed dead, why didn’t she say “silly” or something like that. There’s plenty of things that make me think she knows

There was a lot of hate in her voice when she said that baby voice. Very telling.
Sounds like a good laugh tbh…. do we even know it’s true ….. seems to be a cover for Jen to make Claudia out to be a bit bitchy about other mates …. if that was Jens intention it’s not good is it?…its in the interview in one of the documentary’s … which where this comes from
Don’t mean we are right… to be suspicious ,….nerves of being filmed and knowing it’s going on tv could easily make someone not experienced with tv act very odd … and we don’t know how it was cut a 1 min snap shot about the silly voice could sound and look different in the uncut none broadcast chat
The “I hope she was dead before she hit the ground” was odd mind cut badly or not
The "Hope she was dead before she hit the ground" statement sounds to me implying Claudia was shot. Or trauma to the head. A very weird thing to say. The words are very cold and callous. Lacking in any empathy for Claudia devoid of any emotion
When you said the book jumped off the shelf... I was expecting you to say ...."And out fell Claudia's observations that she made and recorded in secret." Kept in a shelved book for safe keeping. Like a diary but more of a Hardback romantic oldie.

@cheese9325 Hey Cheese, it can get a bit confusing when you see Landlord as this could apply to a few people. Firstly, Richard Cartwright who owned property in Heworth is referred to as the Landlord. Secondly Paul Harris of the Acomb pub in Acomb is also referred to as the Landlord. Claudia had only started visiting the Acomb over the last couple of weeks, apparently seeing a new boyfriend so it’s quite feasible that he only saw Claudia a couple of times. However, was he Claudia’s new boyfriend?.. Thirdly Simon Foreman (aka George Foreman) was the Landlord of the Nags Head who knew Claudia well and it was he who Peter asked to accompany him. I think you may have been thinking it was Paul Harris who went to Claudia’s house. Hope this helps 🙏
She’d been going to the Acomb off and on for years ….sometimes with her mates from her local also ….
PH (acomb escobar) had known her for some years …. None of them new her as long as Simon (George) Forman before he even ran the nags … years…… they dug up his (PH)cellar the cops (Acomb) to wind him up… as he “was” involved in other crime ….. there’s lots of crime going on unrelated to CL …. the police will use other possible linked crimes to get a warrant that helps them in anyway even if it’s unrelated to what they say it’s for….. they also took away 2 doors from upstairs in the same pub
He (PH)was held for perverting the course of justice …. His wife told the police his story didn’t add up about finding an item belonging to Claudia in his car …. She was seeing PH in secret….. however he’s not a murder suspect and has genuinely told all he knows …. He’s also still with his mrs

Didnt the landlord say he hardly knew claudia she only came in a few times? Yet her friends sent him to claudias door when she didnt come in that night? And her dad took landlord next day? Seems odd to say you barely knew her yet being asked to go to her home twice? Whole thing stinks with those friends.
I believe that may have been the landlord of the 'Acombe', but, not sure. @cheese9325

You seem well clued up on the case @RobertLeroyParker, Do you know who had a poodle dog, and what was the surname of the 22 year old boy, who died on the same day, as Claudia vanishing? It's not mentioned
