*@sdd619* I read about that too, I thought it was a rumor. Imagine WWE being the first to test the term "DLC" on PS2 consoles that is the norm of today. I'm guessing after the infamous Booker T and Buff Bagwell match in late spring of 2001, Vince McMahon canceled all those WCW/ECW having their own thing and video games were included in the package. Gamers had to wait for Shut Your Mouth and Wrestlemania X8 to play the WCW/ECW wrestlers.

Just Bring It, was NOT the last WWF console game. That was WWF Raw on the Xbox, which came out in March 2002. It was a couple of months before the WWE name change. Technically, it was WrestleMania X8 on the Gamecube, because even though it was called WWE WrestleMania X8 when it came out, the game was made when the company was still WWF.
Also Big Boss Man wasn't really active in the late 2000s to early 2001. Also you added The Goodfather but not Val Venis or Bull Buchanan. Not to mention Jacqueline was around quite a bit at the time.
@chrisdavies5253 Yeah, the Big Boss Man was injured in late 2000. The Goodfather, Val Venis, Jacqueline, and Bull Buchanan were in the name creation suite in Just Bring It, but the actual playable characters are on RAW 1 on the original Xbox.
The trailer of the game looked realistic at that time but the gameplay looked nothing like the trailer it was like a better version of smackdown 2 graphics
It didnt contain a lot of the roster at the time HOWEVER if you could figure out the move sets and creation items you could create sting, rvd, goldberg, booker T, Justin credible and x pac as well as a few ive forgotten but the devs always had a way of making it that you could create some decent wrestlers
It may not have been outdated by the time it was released in North America but WrestleMania X-8 on the Gamecube but by the time it was released everywhere else in the world 3 or 4 months later it was pretty outdated to the point the WWF had become WWE. So that generation the first WWE games on each console was pretty outdated by the time of release just due to them having really long development periods.
I didnt play Smackdown shut your mouth until 2007 when I was about 8 or 9 years old. For people that played shut your mouth as it came out, how did it feel to finally get guys like rvd, nWo xpac, Kevin Nash, Brock Lesnar, etc in the game ?
This game had a clear cut off of Wrestlemania 17 (even tho somehow SCSA had his Alliance theme lmao) and should’ve been released around that time like the 1st Smackdown game was. Maybe they wanted Xmas sales? Idk but an April release would’ve done the game wonders.
some omissions like the alliance roster are a bit too exagerated, lets remember that yukes had to make a new game on a recently new console and try to put many people as possible but some of those omissions might be due to injuries so they couldnt be scanned but some of these characters are weird why they dont got included
This game was a bit of a disappointment since we thought it would be a lot better on the next gen at the time.. but still I’ll edge it over know your role. Just the inclusion of 6 players alone makes it better. We also got real entrances and the career mode was better
Half of those are DLC, which is planned before the game is released, and finished months before the game is released. These are left out by choice because people continue to buy them year after year; hugely different than someone missing the game (and the royalty checks that came with it at the time) completely. There's also a much bigger disparity when you have nearly 200 people in the base game, compared to ~40.
*@vze38bss* Yeah, majority of guys that was missing on Just Bring It is on Raw 1 on the original Xbox. If I remember correctly, K-Kwik, Terri, Tori, Shawn Micheals, Jacqueline, The Goodfather, and Bull Buchanan are by name only. It's a bunch people they could have crammed into that game.

At least this game got released. Too bad that pesky WCW buyout ultimately cancelled their supposed PS2 debut
All these guys were sunday night heat material at the time
Just Bring It, was NOT the last WWF console game. That was WWF Raw on the Xbox, which came out in March 2002. It was a couple of months before the WWE name change. Technically, it was WrestleMania X8 on the Gamecube, because even though it was called WWE WrestleMania X8 when it came out, the game was made when the company was still WWF.
You're right! Thanks!
@@NearFallGamingYou're welcome !!
A few of the firsts you mentioned were in WWF Attitude
2k20s roster was the only roster that became aew Vs WWE when the main cull of 2020 happened
WWF Warzone had the most outdated roster.
This was not the last WWF branded game, it was WWF RAW for the Xbox on February 12, 2002.
Make sure you do Smackdown SYM & Smackdown HCTP please
I loved this game so much
For me, Shawn Michaels, Chyna.
I really told all the homies back in the day yeah the game kinda trash but look at the opening cutscene this is peak ps2 graphics
I dont know RAW 1 for the Xbox was pretty outdated , It had Haku ,K kwik , kaienti (Really Taka), steve blackman
I didnt play Smackdown shut your mouth until 2007 when I was about 8 or 9 years old. For people that played shut your mouth as it came out, how did it feel to finally get guys like rvd, nWo xpac, Kevin Nash, Brock Lesnar, etc in the game ?
Trust me the outdated roster an ugly graphics are just the least of this games problems. Three matches for season mode. Are you kidding me?
This game had a clear cut off of Wrestlemania 17 (even tho somehow SCSA had his Alliance theme lmao) and should’ve been released around that time like the 1st Smackdown game was. Maybe they wanted Xmas sales? Idk but an April release would’ve done the game wonders.
I had much more fun with this than I did with HCTP
I could’ve swore xpac was in the game lol. Haven’t played this game in ages
some omissions like the alliance roster are a bit too exagerated, lets remember that yukes had to make a new game on a recently new console and try to put many people as possible
but some of those omissions might be due to injuries so they couldnt be scanned
but some of these characters are weird why they dont got included
This game was a bit of a disappointment since we thought it would be a lot better on the next gen at the time.. but still I’ll edge it over know your role. Just the inclusion of 6 players alone makes it better. We also got real entrances and the career mode was better
Dare i say wwe2k14. Wyatts, usos, Goldust, New Age Outlaws, Primo, Epico and Rob Van Dam
I thought X PAC was a unlockable character in the game….or am I trippin?
Caution ⚠️ caution ⚠️ caution ⚠️ caution ⚠️
Caution Caution Caution ⚠️
Yea....def the most outdated game I've ever seen...not to mention the worst roster. Hell, Shane McMahon's theme wasn't even updated
Did you just refer to Limp Bizkit as a person?
Yes I did. Didn't even realize it until after I posted the video as well. All bad.
What if ? ….
There was a season mode longer than a month Lol
I got this when I was 4 years old wth
Thay atleast put the preset movesets for creating wrestlers a.k.a. Caws
Wait I thought xpac was on just bring it it’s been so long since I played it
wwe 2k24: no CM Punk, Jade Cargill, Carlito, AOP, Kairi Sane, Naomi, Andrade, Nia Jax, Odyssey Jones, Dragon Lee, Elektra Lopez on release (main roster)
Odyssey jones not making it
They had a website back then for caws to make on this game... they were some look like the real superstars thatvwas not in the game ..
6:05. I don't think the trailer is part of the game, is about as accurate as Toad or Sonic in Melee
Nice
Lmaoo Shane helms is hurricane…. But K-Kwik and x pac , booker t was surprising to me as their move sets and entrances where in game
K-kwik was also missing. His name and finisher is still in the game
Another great name!
@@dreammatch2000 yup and Raw got delayed like crazy
@@dreammatch2000 only yukes employes might know why these characters got removed
@vze38bss I mean, RAW 1 was released in early 2002? And a couple months before the company went from WWF to WWE.
Worst commentary ever. "The Rock... (pause for 5 seconds) looks great"
Only one I never bought
Warzone was rough. But imo the worst rassling game is an will forever be wcw nitro and wcw thunder. Them 2 was just a heaping pile of smelly shit. Hell jbi is golden compared to thunder an nitro.
WCW Backstage Assault enters the chat
@@Flyboy520 lmmfao. Yeah that game is the prom night dumpster baby. Lmmfao
Funny thing is this was the worst smackdown imo..it was boring
Disagree. After HCTP the downfall began.
Pointless video. Create each character exists. Done.
I could’ve swore xpac was in the game lol. Haven’t played this game in ages
