That song was from the 3 rd album…. The band went on to record 9 more records in Europe and Japan, but only released 1 more in America. I know …. I was there..lol
Axe was one of my favorite groups in 82-83. This entire album, Offering, rocks hard. I wore the cassette out. All killer, no filler. In 1983, they released another killer album called Nemesis. Unfortunately about a year later lead singer/guitarist Bobby Barth and guitarist Mike Osbourne were in a bad car accident. Mike was killed and Bobby was seriously injured, and the band Axe was laid to rest just as they were about to peak as musicians. Great reaction sir!
P.S. several years ago I was actually in contact with Bobby via e-mail. He was busy producing newer bands in Louisiana. Then I think he moved right before Hurricane Katrina hit. Axe kinda did a few live shows here and there over the years with different fill in members, but it was never the same after Osbourne passed away.
AXE reformed and put out 3 more original albums and a couple best of albums. After Nemesis was "V" and then "The Crown" finally just a couple years ago was "Final Offering".
Most definitely you have to listen to their other big song "Rock n Roll Party in The Streets" It's also pretty fun to listen to. For another under the radar band, if you haven't already you should check out Saxon. They have a few pretty cool songs such as The Power and The Glory, The Eagle Has Landed, and Crusader.
In 1984 there was a car accident. 1 member killed and one seriously hurt. The band did not record or tour for almost a decade. There are many albums after offering but none released in America.
My husband latched on to this band when they started out. Bought every album they put out, still have them, in vinyl. Same with Krokus. Both great bands.
I know this song...it was part of a mash up my rifle squad did a solo competition routine to my senior year in HS...we took first place...great memory!
Axe was great band that was so underrated. Bang Tango and Dirty Looks are great bands. Under the radar as well. The base player for Bang Tango (Kyle Kyle) is amazing. Definitely worth the time. Great Channel 👍
You have to listin to i got the fire, its a montrose cover song, rock n roll party in the streets, burn the city down. I can go on and on. Must listen to i got the fire....BANGER! There nemesis album rocks also. Its the follow up to offering.
I liked this, T! Hard to go wrong with any 80s rock. There was just so much to pick from. The singers voice kind of reminds me of David Coverdale from Whitesnake. Keeep rocking!
I'm glad you reacted to Axe 😃 My dad introduced me to them a couple of years ago and I instantly liked their music. They had a really nice and distinctive sound and probably would've had more commercial success by the end of the 80s. Unfortunately in '84 their guitarists were involved in a fatal car accident, one of them dead and the other one injured. The band never recovered from this tragedy (Can you blame them?!). I'd recommend you also check out their previous album "Living on the Edge", plus the song "Sting of the Rain" from their '96 album "Five" (the vocals are amazing on that one).
A band you should check out that's called Lillian Axe. Check the song letters in the rain or fools paradise. Love and war album. You will love them trust me.
Some day one of your patrons is gonna get you to listen to Lynch Mob and you will wonder why you waited so long! Tangled in the Web & Wicked Sensation are both bangers!
You have to do their song "Rock and roll party in the streets" that's a classic
I've Been Axe Fan For Years I Personally Think That They're One Of The Most Underrated Bands Of 80's I Loved You're Reaction
This song has one of my favorite solos of all time. Not because of is has an intricate solo, but because of the atmosphere it creates.

An obscure hair band, I love it!!

Never heard of them. Pretty cool rock song, really liked the guitar play. That's why the 80's always win the poll.

Got this on vinyl and also their album "Nemesis" . Gotta do "rock and roll party in the streets". I still hear it on the radio now and then.

Rock 'n' Roll Party in the Street and Burn the City Down are also both great songs. They even do a cool cover of Montrose's I Got the Fire.
Axe was a kick-ass band and glad Bobby Barth getting some love.

"Rock n Roll Party" in my opinion is their best song.

Look like a biker gang with guitars
No. They are fabulous musicians who happened to like bikes
Try An Eagle only Flys alone
