a few days before new years in snowy speedy creek colter warmed his hands Cattle Call was written by Tex Owens in 1934. www.colterwall.... / colterwall / littlejackfilms www.littlejack...
His voice brings me back to old westerns from the 60's and 70's, a time I never lived in. You can say that guys like Cody Jinks, Cody Johnson, Tyler Childers, Chris Stapleton, Midland, and Jason Isbell are all keeping traditional country tunes alive. But Colter's sound goes back even further than theirs. He sings like an old cowpoke with a dip in. No other country singer out there has the western feel and sound that Colter does!
100% agreed. And even though older artists don't get as much playtime anymore, Colter's sound is old school but so clear and modern at the same time. An absolute delight nowadays to listen to, and one step above ll the great new generation of Country singers.
@@thetowerfantasymusic the only one that’s even close (closest but not really close) to me is Tyler Childers and even he doesn’t have that immediately recognized wow factor, that something special, as much as Colter has.
My grandpa Steven mindemann old bull rider from Apache Oklahoma country singer sang at all the rodeos around Oklahoma Kansas Texas ect sang with Reba and Toby Keith before they were famous if he was here today he would love ole colter
God bless Colter Wall!I feel he's like the last stand in the way of trashy pop/country music and fighting with all of his might to keep those good old tunes alive and the soul of hillbilly music clean.
He's NOT the only fantastic young artist out there. You have to look around. Stop whining about the trashy pop and go look for other artists that you find acceptable.
One of the last real country music singers,a guy with a voice like no other. For me he's already a legend all the way up there next to Hank,Waylon and Willie.Keep up the good work Colter and just be yourself!
@@robertnegru5935 there definitly are, If you like colter wall i recomend you check out Tyler Childers, The Dead South, Chris Stapleton,The steel drivers, and Cody jinks
My Father would love to hear some Sons of the Pioneers from you..He had no idea you existed and showed him a bunch of your songs and he was just down right impressed
This type of music and John Wayne are the reasons I pursued being a rodeo cowboy, broken bones and just not being very good are the reason I quit. I still love the music and the movies though.
Correct. As someone who plays guitar, I see the subtle tricks he does to spice up these old songs. He’s a hell of a guitar player the same way Neil Young is.

Tyler and Chris s. are turning more and more towards pop-country
I still like them but i like the original cowboy sound better
My Father would love to hear some Sons of the Pioneers from you..He had no idea you existed and showed him a bunch of your songs and he was just down right impressed
I love the Jerry Jeff reference towards the end 😁 I just listened to "Mr. Bojangles" and it it made me think about this video. Such a great cover.
Need this guy. His voice, music reaches deep. Hits a bodies chord. He is on 1st thing in morning. Oh my is all I can say.
Just what I needed today, thank you! He is so talented. And that voice!
This is fantastic. Wow.
I had zero idea that this gem was on the internet.
My Dad's old longhorn brand on the cabinet. Left rib. Had to change it to 3 over 6 on the left rib because of some overly sensitive types.

O Colter, i love u
Damn good amazing job!!!
Wow really.
That is the exact sound we would use to call are cattle when I was a kid to funny
Thanks for the video boys ! You’re the best Colter ! I hope to see you in ole Virginia one day !
666? Magic fingers? This must be confirmation that Colter sold his soul to the devil to become the vastly talented individual that he is.
He doesn't play anything crazy with his hands tho. I'm not doubting his guitar skills. I love his tunes. But he's no Billy Strings.
Nah, the Devil sold HIS soul to be able to listen to Colter.
Correct. As someone who plays guitar, I see the subtle tricks he does to spice up these old songs. He’s a hell of a guitar player the same way Neil Young is.
I mean, the Devil does wear a suit and Tie
@@danielscott8867 Neil Young is a guitar playing machine and highly underrated. Just watch him play Cortez the Killer.
Wonderful.
Really wish he would release these on streaming platforms

A little late but you can find the eddy Arnold chords and transpose one whole step down which makes that first verse go c-f-g-c
We will have people saying colt sold his soul too the devil too sing and play like he does with the 666 on the cupboard door lol
It feels like you broke into a "squat" to shoot a video.
