- When the TSA made the change to carry ons only including one quart size bag with liquids at 3.4 fluid ounces, they changed a lot about how to prepare for a world trip. I now have to make some tough decisions about what I'm going to allow in my liquids bag. One of the things I've been thinking of kicking out is Shampoo and Conditioner, so in this video I tried two different solid shampoo and conditioners from Lush and from Ethique to make that possible. It's definitely not the way I use to wash my hair, but I think I can make this work. Watch the video to see which one I'll bring on my trip.

I really wanted Heali Kiwi to work for me. My hair dries, and it’s instantly super oily looking (I have oily hair). I had the thought since it’s for sensitive scalps, maybe that’s why? I use Frizz Wrangler by Ethique as my go-to now and absolutely love it!
Thanks for sharing!!
I saw another traveler review these products & they ended up using the Lush shampoo with the Ethique conditioner! I like the Lush shampoo, but have never had luck with their conditioner. Nice review!
Thanks! It certainly is an option to mix and match the products- I might do the same although I feel okay with the lush conditioner.
Hi! I have very similar hair - fine, a bit oily and sometimes dry. I found with the Ethique St. Clement's bar I don't need conditioner, I JUST use the shampoo bar twice (once for scalp and once for length). The conditioner is what made my hair heavy and greasy. I also wonder if the sampler pack you got had older bars. Mine smell very strongly of citrus when they come out of the box and suds up great.
Strange- mine didn’t have much smell so they could have been older. Perhaps I’ll try again with just shampoo and see if the conditioner was the problem. Thanks so much for sharing!
While traveling it may be hard to get them dry. You might have to keep them in the tin. I wouldn’t want them on the floor or a ledge in a hostel shower!
I set them up on their side in the tins usually, but I just illustrated it in my own shower
Lush sudses better because the inclusion of SLS
How long do you think the lush bars will last?
I barely put a dent in them after a month- so I’m thinking they could last a long time. Maybe 6 months.
