NEW Pilbara Spiny Tail Skinks! + Habitat Build - (Egernia epsisolus)

Today we meet one of the coolest reptiles on earth! The Eastern Pilbara Spiny Tailed Skink (Egernia epsisolus) is endemic to Western Australia and in this video we setup an enclosure to suit this environment and learn some awesome facts about these unique skinks!

All of these egernia are illegal exports out of WA. They’re also one of the most commonly smuggled animal overseas in the last 5 years.

Yes unfortunately their amazing looks makes them a big target for illegal poaching etc. It’s disgusting what some of these animals are put through!

They are less common everywhere. They don’t have as many babies as other things and those who have them usually enjoy them so much they keep them 😂
