Bangladesh Trip 2023 Ep. 3 Barishal to Kuakata Bangladesh | KUAKATA BEACH |

On 21 May 2023, I attempted to go to Kuakata sea beach from Barishal by hitch hiking. After hiking for 1 hour, a bike gave me lift to a place called Patuakhalli. At least I thought it was a lift. Then I ask the driver after driving for 15 minutes near a place called Bakerganj “ Where are you heading to”. He replied he was dropping me at Patuakhalli for a fare of a bafew taka. He said he was a professional bike rider for passenger. Immediately, I ask him to stop and drop me there. He ask me to pay 300 taka fare upto there. We negotiated and settled to pay 100 taka. Then I board a direct bus to Kuakata. Again, the tourist scam didn’t end there for that day. The bus I boarded at that particular place to Kuakata was only 5 passengers. So, the bus driver shifted all five passengers at Patuakhalli to other bus going to Kuakata saying fare has been given 300 taka as we have paid them. The new bus when reached at Kuakata ask again there fare from Patuakhalli. I have to explained everything again and said I have paid to other bus. The other bus have also confirmed me not to repay the fare. A conductor in the has understood my situation and ask me not to pay again. Thus, I didn’t pay again.
The beach was so beautiful, worth going there. It was full of exotic feelings.
