- In 2008, the night after the last of the band's 10th Anniversary shows in Manchester (as seen in the Feed To Feed DVD set) Oceansize supported Porcupine Tree at London's IndigO2. Here's the entire 40-minute 'greatest hits' set, filmed on one cheap DV camcorder. Thank you to Paul Hurt for filming the show. Front Of House sound by Richie Dempsey.

Ah man I really miss oceansize 😢😭
They really got into the zone during Trail of Fire.
God I miss them.
I was at this gig. Met them afterwards and got a signed CD. Cool people and still one of my favourite bands x
How amazing to have been able to see Oceansize and Porcupine Tree together, two amazing, inspiring, and unique bands
It kills me when I get into great music too late to experience it live, I've been into Porcupine Tree forever but I just got into Oceansize over this past year or two. That would have been an incredible show to see. It's good to know Mike Vennart is still out there playing though, and it keeps me hopeful that maybe Oceansize will reform one day or at least play a reunion show or two!
This world does not deserve Steve Durose
Hard to say how much this band is an incredible source of inspiration and energy through the years... Followed Oceansize since the Efflorescence album, still listening and trying to understanding all the meanings and richness of what they created... Had the chance to see them live three times in Paris... the path to the Oceansize emotional feelings is far from being over... Never being addicted to anything but... Oceansize ;-)
Wat een heerlijke gitaarband was Oceansize toch! Geweldig hoe de drummer het opneemt tegen vier gitaristen. Super!
Keep these coming Mike.
Miss you guys. From Chile.
Lol never knew another chilean fan :)
@@SJA962 somos pocos al parecer. No tuvo buena difusión esta banda en Chile. Pero los sigo desde hace años, con todos los demos y EP q sacaron, al igual q un círculo cercano de amigos de ese tiempo. Buen día :)
31:30 10/10 for atmospheric effort :’)
After seeing you on TPS today, this was a great introduction to Oceanside's catalogue. Thanks Enjoyed it.
God, this is an awesome performance. What I would give to have been able to see this band, especially around that time. Much love from Mexico.
sounds good, their shows nowadays must be great
I remember getting the megabus from Manchester the day after just after witnessing 3 nights of back to back pure musical bliss. Met up with my mate who had also got the coach all the way from Aberdeen just to watch 'size at this gig. Pure joy.
My go to video for several weeks of peak oceansize (imo). Trail of Fire in this recording is simply a work of art.
Watching this now, on the 2020s, gave me a wonderful feeling... something like a 2000s live at Pompeii....
I like the fact that the crowd is not moving at all. A body is not able to dance when experiencing something like this. Your brain is in rescue mode trying to get everything that is happening on stage.
What a pretentious load of bollocks. I danced through every show.
I can't even sit still in my chair at my desk watching this, how is the crowd so calm?!
This is fucking great Mike
Cheers from Brazil
Best British band of the century.
Still sounds fresh and relevant!
We missed you so much❤️
greatest band of our time.
what a joy to watch that drummer do his thing, where he's been Mike?
Legendary! This was the only Oceansize show I ever got to go to, thanks!
Great great music!
You made my youth awesome
Please guys. Come back and save music. I was a bit too young to see you but I represented your interests in Brussels with IMPALA
Best sounding band ever! I m glad to have seen them live...
Ha! I didn't think I would find a video performance of You Can’t Keep A Bad Man Down on TH-cam with good audio and video... but I did! I did! Today is a great day.
Wish I got to see you guys live. I had a ticket for last tour but the gig was cancelled just before you split. As a Manchester lad I’m not just biased in saying Oceansize are one of the greatest bands of all time, so under appreciated. You guys had something special going and such a diverse sound but still completely your own. An S Tier band for sure, in my top 10 of all time.
This was the first time I ever saw Oceansize and my life changed forever! Your music was what I had been looking for for so long and inspired so much of my own writing.
Thanks for uploading so I can relive the experience!!
Esto es una ´puta joya, fan desde hace mucho tiempo Mike, ojalá algún día te conozca en persona, OCEANSIZE FOREVER IN MY HEART!❤🔥 salutes from Mexico!!
Absolutely brilliant😥❤❤❤

Thank you Mike!!!😄🤟👍🤘
Really, really, really fucking good.
So fucking good!!! Discovered your greatness a few years too late sadly!!
Crowd is going berserk. Security having a fucking ‘mare keeping them in check.
I unliked so i could like yet again :-) So good!

Amazing
I was there!
Man do I wish they would get back together. I doubt Mark and Mike would agree to it but they can find a guy to play drums just as good. Mark is one of a kind but he can be replaced.
Not sure that Mark can be replaced, to be honest. A wonderful, original drummer.
Still so unique❤! What does it take to reunite for at least some gigs🤔???
Do we need another international pandemic in order to get more of these delicious treats!?😷❤️🌍 The Earth thanks you.
What happened to this band? I saw them in Australia with Cog. It was epic! Just rediscovered them and they didn't release anything after 2005.
Trail of fire is insaneeeeeeeeeeee
damn when Heron was on, he was fuckin' ON
I was always on ... Except once
He's a fucking wonderful drummer. He gets shit for one bad night. Everyone is allowed a bad night.
@@mark_heron7368 lol Mark, respect for poking fun at yourself. Hope you're feeling and doing well today, mate.
@@c11p respect
Take extra special care.
Was that a sign of things to come?
@@Jasonsumm i'm pretty sure it's a biffy reference
'Oceansize supported Porcupine Tree at London's IndigO2.' WHAT!?
Hey Mike, do you still use the Danelectro Fab tone? It's a great pedal
So I am going through my Oceansize recordings and uploading them on to here and also onto @t, but I've come across one I labelled 27/09/2006 Bolton. I can't see that they ever played Bolton? The songs played are upto Frames, any clues would be appreciated!
What's it say in the bass players t shirt? Is it a band?
drive
What's with the crowd. I'd be going crazy at such a gig. They're just staring.
I was stood there mouth agape and couldn’t move because I’d fallen so heavily in love with this music!
Audience stiff or in trance? i guess the latter
Good stuff... by comparison music these days is a festering shit pile...
Plenty of hidden treasures out there!
