    Very helpful video. Thank you so much. Can you please verify the size of the allen wrench you used to loosen the 4 stem allen bolts to adjust steering bar angle? My bolts were so incredibly tight, I wound up rounding out two of the bolts. I might have one more shot at them before they are completely rounded out but I want to make sure that I use the correct wrench. Any ideas if I am unable to get these 2 allen bolts off? With the neo it seems it aims for the wattage, but it is sort of a bandwidth around it and I mostly (most positive sense) do it myself. I had something similar once in the past with my wahoo, but could fix that with a setting. Do I have to do something similar now? Where to find it? I have the latest firmware btw, 0.0.40. Hope to hear from you!

      haha.. not exactly, I like the adjustability options without having to swap out parts, also no need for a front wheel or fork. yeah yeah , you could purchase a chinese bike off of Aliexpress for indoor training. As for me, I have the Neo 2 and I use my second bike on it. But why can't someone create a bike specific for this purpose?

    • @graemehill
      @graemehill 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Michael Steele that’s a pretty interesting idea actually. However if the adjustable bike was separate then it would still require a chain, derailleurs, shifters, etc if you just wanted to be able to connect it to a regular direct drive trainer. These bikes have virtual shifting that I think is pretty cool because your gears become customizable just like the bike fit. However, if the bike part was just single speed and there was a protocol for virtual shifters to talk to the trainer then this could still be solved.

    What ever happened to the rest of the review on the Tacx Neo Smart bike. It looked so promising but so far failed to deliver a final verdict.
    Have you totally given up on finishing this review or would it be more of a case that Tacx are in the process of totally redesigning the whole bike to accommodate new features that other brands have adapted. For exapmle, the Wahoo Smart bike is a more sleeker design and an easier way to set up the whole bike from scratch.
    From reading and watching other reviews, it seems that the concept was a great idea but somewhat misses the mark to be one of the best indoor bikes on the market due to it's design limitations. I would love to hear your view from a more rounded prospective.
