    Great to hear you having fun with it, it has quickly become an office favourite here

      Yeah, I’ve been eyeing that one.
      I use a Midphoria, by Magnetic Effects, which is a Mid Boost pedal. It can do clean transparent boost, but it has low and high mid channels, with a wide range on each, thst is great for solos, after a Fuzz Face, or especially really scooped fuzzes. I use it after all my dirt, except one other boost pedal, that I stack to do the cocked wah sound.
      The origin is more of a versatile gain pedal, than just a boost, similar to how a Treble Booster, isn’t just a treble boost.

      Hey, Origin. I LOVE may Cali76, an indispensable pedal. And then you go and produce this! During the demo, I wondered where best to place it. Presently, I go from guitar to fuzz to Kingsley Jester to Cali76 and then all remaining drives, delay, reverb after that. Where are players finding they like to order it? I do love a studio sound and love to experiment with studio-modeled plug-ins in the DAW, including EQ, compression and reverbs. Looks like you have a very fine pedal here. -G

    • @CorbCorbin
      @CorbCorbin ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They have three in this series.
      One seemed similar to that Flat V pedal, that was just released by Poly. The OTO delay and reverb, seem to have capabilities like the Poly Beebo, as well, using different layouts, but the OTO stuff, is $600 a pedal.
      The Beebo does multi effects in a chain or parallel. The Flat V has various tone shaping abilities and several modulation effects, with presets, so I’m just wondering how much more the OTO can do.

    • @peterjessop1878
      @peterjessop1878 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CorbCorbin yeah I have a beebo which is great but I am not a fan of the algo reverb on it. I like Lexicon style reverbs so I love the Meris stuff and the BAM is meant to be very similar to the original 224 so would be nice to see that particularly.

    WOW, that Bim sounds more like a well-maintained tape echo than any other device I've heard. It's gotta have something to do with the compander: the edges and attack of every note have the same kind of silvery "pling" you get from a Space Echo or Echoplex, but no harshness, just this magical definition

    • @2010njdevil
      @2010njdevil ปีที่แล้ว

      Agreed. I was trying to talk myself in to how a great tape echo could capture it but the BIM has that "it factor" which makes it so unique.

    @corpse-in-orbit ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Ah, Mick, fascinating to see how you guys use the M-EQ! I was kind of flummoxed by it at first, but now I'm running it right after my wah and tuner, pre-gain stages, and it's completely solved the problem of drives, distortions, and fuzzes hollowing out when they hit a scoopy clean channel. Whatever the cleans lose, I can put back into the drive sounds with the M-EQ, and it adds 3 new tones to every gain stage I've got - 800 Hz is "Mesa/Boogie mid" for me, 1k reminds me of the mids in a Vox, and 1.3k gets that Marshall bite, so I can punch each of those frequencies into more gain on any pedal, without sacrificing all of the second pedal's character. FINALLY I can use the same pedalboard with nearly any amp! Thank ye Lord for TPS lessons on gain stacking.

    Bim certainly has the "Lexicon" PCM-42/60 homage going on...right down to the paint job on the box

    I can’t wait for the fuzz with univibe show and the delay show, I’d love to see Dan with this and other more crazy delays.

    Wow, this was just a show among shows. All of these are next level kind of pedals - and very inspiring. Great stuff, Leghands!

    At 27min the "cocked wah" tone actually makes the tele sound lovely and full 👌

    Well, Mick, always good to hear a Ricky Nelson baseline played as a rock riff!!! Great playing and great show as always. Dan keep the experimental stuff on the show for us shoe gazers.

    Is the Bim a reference to James May's Our Man In Japan series?

    Love the Origin pedal. Some really great tones to be had from it. The Bim needs its own show where we learn how to control it to make it usable in a typical pedal board. Thanks as always.

    Mick! I just got to the part where you’re shredding up pretty great on that gold top through the fuzz box. At the 15:35 mark you play a pretty sweet lick and right at the end the fuzz box let’s out a straight fart. Probably right at 15:39. I thought it was hilarious, but then again I have the sense of humor of a 5 year old.
