This was something my hubby always took care of. I must’ve spent 15mins trying to bang it out. Pry it with different sharp, pointy things.

What size tool or what tool do I use to take the back clip off? To replace the clip, mine is bent and won’t stay clipped to my pocket. Any info helps, thank you!
I actually don't have this kobalt anymore but I believe it was an Allen key. I have a husky foldable and it uses a star bit. Here is a link for a precision screwdriver set but check to make sure that it's not an Allen key screw first.

How about the non folding kobalt

@@fixanythingsavemoney i figured it out by aggressively pushing the button while twisting the blade and pulling out simutaneously
Maybe it was just stuck? Is it coming back out easier now? You should just have to press in one of the buttons while pulling straight out
