Hi all welcome back to another video Dereck Reacts back at it again! This time around we take a look at another Pentatonix reaction made possible by all of you with a cover of Blinding Lights. This is an extremely difficult song to pull off especially acapella; with all those signature Weekend's synths. But Pentatonix pulls it off, in an effortless fashion. Highlights here are both Kevin and Matt for those epic sounds! See my react now!

I love this one! This was recorded *during lockdown* - thus the very simple backdrops, different for each performer. Mitch shines out (he's great at the electronic tone), but they're all wonderful in this. Thanks for the quote from Kevin! It seems that every time PTX says a song is going to be a tough challenge (Bohemian Rhapsody, this one), they hit it out of the park. Recommendation: Try New Rules x Are You That Somebody for another great performance from the best rhythm section in a capella.
I adore Matt His tone, his soulness, brings down my anxiety so much, and Kevin, awww...Kevin...He is incredibly talented, such a strong man in everything he does. And last, the trio...brilliant...as always!!!
Thank you for reacting to this one, this is from their Covid lock down and they did their parts from their individual homes. The other one that is just phenomenal from this series is "When the Parties Over " by Billy Eilish. It is just as incredible.

Thank you for reacting to this Pentatonix video. They all recorded their parts in their individual homes. They obtained the equipment to record audio and video, learned to set up and use said equipment and recorded themselves at their homes during a pandemic. I was/am impressed. The EP had 6 songs. They made videos for 5 of the songs.

I just found your channel today and realized I'm a bit later. I see you have stopped reacting to PTX with only 7 videos in. You seemed to have enjoyed their music so much that I'm so disappointed to see you've stopped reacting to them. They have so much more amazing work to react to! I see from your playlists that you know Strome. You've not reacted to Papatouai by him yet, though. You might consider a double reaction to that and then catch Pentatonix's remake of it featuring Lindsay Stirling. They are both amazing! I love Strome's official video, but also one he does live at some awards ceremony is genius.

I heard the PTX version first. I then heard The Weekend version on the music at work. I liked the PTX version better. They were very similar in sound. I am probably biased. I liked Mitch's voice and Kevin's drums better.
Same, I heard PTX first...and it's my favorite version.

When I watched Weeknd sing this at the Super Bowl I had already heard PTX's version, and I was so disappointed in Weeknd's version. It was boring. I thought PTX's version was an upgrade.
