✈☞ What's up Adventurers, Welcome to a guide on hiking in Los Nevados, Colombia! This video is an informational video on a 3-day hike through Cocora valley on up to summit one of the highest mountains in Colombia, Paramillo del Quindio at 15,580ft. This is definitely one of the best multi-day hikes in the area and is super accessible for visitors however, it is very demanding. So if you are up for a challenge I would recommend it 100%. Less touristy than the lost city trek.☜

I used to hike and climb in Colombia Parque Nevados (I climbed Ruiz, Santa Isabel, Quindio y Tolima in a single trip of 7 days) Parque Cocuy (Concavo Concavito, Toti, Pan de Azucar, Ritacuba Blanco, Negro San Pablines; on several trips), by myself, no guide solo hikes. are you telling me I cant hike or climb solo anymore? WTF?

Nah, I believe you are good if you are experienced. It’s more for tourists i believe. I think overall the rule was created to keep the untrained from overstepping their capabilities and then needing rescue services and also to support the money flow to guide services.

In other words, I didn’t see anyone enforcing the rules and we even found a few people who were lost out there that did not have guides and our guide had to help them get back.
