Great to see you're still conditioning leather Larry. I know many people say modern leather doesn't need it, but it definitely feels more supple after I've done it.

i still do it because i don't believe you can just let leather sit with out taking care of it. I think that could be a marketing gimmick.

What about the white stitching? I have the same on my seats. Do you just clean and condition over them? I’m concerned with discolouring them

How can I make the leather on a much cheaper vehicle softer? I have a Honda pilot and I believe it has vinyl coated leather. Is there any product that can penetrate it? I know it is all vinyl in the 3rd row and everywhere except the seat and back. Any advice?

This keeps comping up in searches of how to protect leatherette interior, but I was told not to use leather anything on leatherette because many of them actually break down the vinyl in the man-made material. Is that correct?

Hey do u know of anybody who would have a front mask or bra cover to stop the bugs from sticking to my 2021 gmc yukon denali. Those out of town trips are rough on my paint and grill, mainly bug guts.

Whenever I clean and condition my car leather (which is quite often). My car smells like the conditioner for 2-3 days after.

I use Lexol conditioner which is a great entry level conditioner but it does have an odor I don't really care for.

What if I put the conditioner on it look moist then returning the next day to the car the seat looked ashy, like I may have used too much, how should I fix this?

I would go back over the seats in sections with a damp clothes and then wipe with a dry clean one. I did this to my BMW this morning and it fixed the problem with it looking ashy.

When it comes to leather old Chrysler leather seems to hold up better than Cadillac leather and better than Lexus leather. Many old lexus vehicles I’ve seen look like they were driven by Edward scissorhands. Find any old Chrysler/dodge/jeep/Plymouth from the 90s onward and more than likely it’s leather will still be good.

Maybe the leather looks great, but the car is falling apart😂. Poor Chrysler

Must have been "Corinthian Leather"! 😜 The leather seats in my 2016 CTS looked no different when I traded it in after 8 years than they did when they were new. I typically wiped down all the seats with a damp cloth every few months (more frequently for the driver's seat), and did a light clean and condition with Lexol every couple of years. The driver's seat got a cleaning & conditioning whenever it started to look shiny, which was every few months.

Bullshit. Sales gimmick for ammo or any leather conditioner. It’s not a saddle.
