    You definitely undervalued the mic quality boost on the HS80… THe mic on the JBL was garbage.

    Great review!
    Been using the HS80 for quite a while. The only thing i had annoying was the mic was for some reason really low on volume inside Windows audio settings. The bar hardly moved when i talked normally. I ended up using a software called PEACE APO EQUALIZER and was able to boost the mic as well as adding a good equalizer pattern to the mic and from there on and out, paired with Nvidia Broadcast's noise filter, i feel this is a GREAT sounding mic. I even get reactions ingame sometimes from randomers that my mic is really good. The APO software only needs to be run once, and it doesn't need to be running in the background.
    The battery time is not the best, but i have a good habit of putting them on charging every night when i'm done gaming, and i never run out in one day session. But if you forget to charge it, it will not last 2 days with long sessions. Good news is that you can use them while charging, and it only takes about 20-30 minutes to charge them enough for the rest of any session.
    The range is not too far, but i can goto the kitchen, 4 meters away without problems. In my bedroom it gets a random cutoff, which is behind a wall about 4 meters as well.
    The fit is nice, but my ears are "slightly" bigger than average so it might get a bit "heavy" after 5-6 hours of usage. Not on the head itself, but my ears.
    There is a light on the microphone which i found really, really annoying in my peripheral view. You can turn it off with the Corsair software, BUT, you NEED to keep the software running for it to stay off. I chose to not use the software (as it offers absolutely nothing of value during normal day use), and ended up with a piece of black electrical tape to cover the light.
    As for the boom-mute function, i been using it since i got it over a year ago and it works just as well as day1. No noise or anything when i lower or raise the arm.
    All in all, i give the HS80 a SOLID 8 out of 10, where im deducting a point for software and one for battery time. I can't deduct anything for the low mic issue, as i can't guarantee its not on my end, as in certain driver combos or something else.

      Hey i wanna increase the mic valume but dont know how to do it? Should i download something else other than Peace APO Equalizer?

    • @mindtreat
      @mindtreat ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@aliahmedov4674 I replied but i misunderstood your question maybe. You don't "need" anything more than the APO if that's what you're asking. Nvidia Broadcast is only for noise reduction of background noises, i don't feel like it boosts the volume much.

    I found your reviews to be very informative and professional!
    I'm researching to buy a wired or wireless gaming headsets, and hopefully can use across platforms, including phone calls, hence Bluetooth. I bought the Logitech G Pro Wireless, but I find the mic monitoring to be a bit wanting, especially the warm voice. I'm also finding it hard to find a programs or programs where I can hear my voice and also record simultaneously.
    Any advise, and what if I got both a wired and wireless headset?

    What is the difference from the 800 to the newer 810? I got the Quantum 810 for Black Friday since it was a killer deal half price at $100. However, I have an annoyance with it. The headset plastic frame, at the hinges that allow the ear cups to swivel, makes creaking/popping noises when I'm moving my head around. If I have the mic in front of my face, ready to speak on Discord, those pops come through the mic and annoys everyone. I used Windows recorder so I could hear what they hear, and it's loud. It sounds like I'm slapping the headset lol. I told Amazon to send me one more pair so I can try it again, but it seems like a bad design flaw. I've had them for 2 days now and it hasn't "broken in" or anything like I was hoping. I also ordered the steelseries Nova 7X and will pick between these two to replace my Astro A50 gen 3. My Astros have started to randomly die while I'm gaming even if the battery is showing it has 70%, 50%, etc.

      Well mine stop being as noisy around the hinges after a while. But mine also pop sometimes when I get interference (especially if I'm near a running microwave). I have not had anyone complain about hearing these noises. Could be your microphone or sensitivity settings, not sure.I think the biggest differences is the 800s CANNOT be charged while you are using them. I believe the reviewer person made a mistake at 8:32, unless he has a different hardware revision of the 800 model. I've seen reviews where the 810's can be charged (connected to USB) while using as well as a much longer battery life. Both models have a audio cable you can connect if you are out of juice but I can't use that either if I'm charging. Even though the mic is "decent" as the reviewer pointed out these are my favorite wireless headset due to the sound.

    Hey man is there any way to make the Quantum 800 sound a bit louder on PC? Or does it sound the same on Console?

  • @aot-soldier3603
    @aot-soldier3603 ปีที่แล้ว

    The one thing I notice is that the Corsair picks up a lot more background noise, which could be a problem with a load keyboard and a loud background.
