I could not afford this when it came out in the late 90's . Crimson were so ridiculously prolific with improvisational material at the time that I had to be selective with music purchases on m limited budget and this one fell through the cracks. Thanks for making ProjeKct BLUE available 25 years later.
I bought all the CDs back in the 90s and 00s. The improv stuff was this weird kind of music that was sort of puzzling, somehow badly and goodly played at the same time and for car listening, not at home with parents. It was always mixed, some really good, some unlistenable. It probably took a good 10 years to finally "get it". Finally getting round to the idea of sharing the more normal stuff with parents (Meltdown DVD), improvs might be more of a challenge.....😂 The BLUE CD was always one I kept coming back to though.
@@chrisl1797 - yeah, a lot of this improvisational music has not stood the test of time for me. The only music I regularly come back to are some of Fripp's soundscapes (Gates of Paradise is my fave) and ProjeKct 3 off the box set. I return to those a few times a year. I have not listened to ProjeKct Two, One, ProjeKct X, Repurcussions of Angelic Something Or Other, or Thrakattack in probably 10 years.
Happy birthday Tony. Hope it’s wonderful. Enjoy!
Absolutely gorgeous.
