Hey just to prove you’re not a robot, can you provide further justification for telling people voting for someone who’s a democrat running for a small office like state representative, regardless of who they are?
In my state there’s a lot of state reps and pretty much anyone with enough time on their hands can run, so you get loony’s from both sides who end up on the ticket. We’ve had Republicans get in who don’t believe in Government at all, and we’ve had a Democrats who said that anime is the reason more nuclear bombs should have been dropped on Japan.
The point is these people get in because most people, like you, get excited for or angry at a presidential candidate, and promote blind straight-ticket voting without thoroughly researching people at the bottom of the ticket, where a quick glance might just have you believing that the Republican, or in a Republican’s case, the Democrat, is actually better for the job.
It’s 2024, most people are registered independent, so stop promoting some old-school mob-boss mentality. My grandparents were told “Catholics vote democrat,” so they did all the way up and down, until affirmative action came and they became Republicans along with the rise of Fox News and the neo cons.
That out dated mentality perpetuates the idea that an individual isn’t smart enough to decide each person on the ballot for themselves.
I don’t care who you vote for for president, and for heavens sake if do vote all dems please be able to justify each person, and stop telling others to vote straight ticket unless you live right next to them and have all the same districts where you know all the candidates they have
