I’ve been following you and using teaching self government for several years. I have to say, the game changer for me was learning how to accept No answers. I didn’t realize how bad I was at this until I had to teach it. When I learned how to do this for myself, my whole life became better! And my children are better at this skill because they see me leading by example. Thank you Nicholeen!
I have watched many of your videos and want to start implementing these techniques. I have 4 children 6,8,10 and 12. I find anytime I try to do a family meeting or discussion that it’s a struggle as some times they just wanna goof off and not listen. I know that’s a behavior were trying to correct here. My question is, would I be better off to work with each child individually on learning these techniques, or should it be done together as a family?
Maybe... is this an idea about an topic about self-government - when you are in position: you are alone/on your own (don't have a 'support system'/ or without a helper) ?
