Thanks for this! I first dipped my toe in to leathercraft a little over a year ago... I mostly make small and very simple things like bangles and keyrings and bookmarks and just got my first strap cutter. I wish I'd gotten it sooner! Worth every penny.

Thank you for this great video 🤓 Got my knock off strap cutter today and what a shit show. Manage to finally get the blade in and and get some practice straps that are usable. Your tips on starting and ending your straps are brilliant. These were the two issues I had. Big hugs from Nova Scotia 🤓

Build project idea: Make a 16th century-style armor harness from old belts or lots of leather straps. Armor that consists of lots of lames, especially along the upper arms, upper legs, skirt & waist, such as three-quarter armor. Can one get lots of cheap belts in unsold lots?

Cut and epoxy a small piece of 80-grit sandpaper to the face of the disc. That will prevent the slide from drifting when cutting.
