Just stunning💕💕
Thank you ☺️
Enjoying You here from Washington State in the Pacific Northwest of the US…..beautiful autumnal day working on my cross stitch…..love your creative ques…..to just do you……such freedom…..plus listening to audiobooks just makes it more delicious….I listened to Ann Patchett’s latest “Tom Lake”….read by the actress Meryl Streep……the nuisances she lends makes for such picturesque pleasures…..
I love autumn - it’s my favourite season. Sitting and stitching and listening to a podcast or audio book is a perfect delight! 🥰
I do hope you will read this, as it has been 10 months since you did this video. I am a member of Jeri Bellini's group, Aging Creativly and Gratefully, and I just saw a posting of a beautiful piece of work there by Tori Chatfield and commented on it. While watching your video yesterday, I saw your name come up at the beginning. Are you he same Tori as the one who posted on Jeri's site? What a coincidence! Your work is stunning, and I plan on making some of your lovely vessels very soon. I have posted several times on Jeri's site under the name Diane Savage, most recently with a pic of my DOT collection in neutral colors.
@@DianeSavage-s5d it is me :) thank you for your lovely comments - I’m so pleased you enjoy them ❤️☺️
Amazing! 😍😍😍
Thank you Tina ❤️
You do make me laugh, I love watching you 😂 I have to stop and start. I managed to get up stairs this morning so I went through another box of fabric and bit and pieces so tomorrow I am going to start on something I have done 2 of your dangling brooches and the granddaughters pinched them 😂 thank you for cheering me up 💖💖💖🌻
Ahh thank you Mary - I’m so happy that you enjoy making up the projects. Hugs 🥰❤️
What a wonderful video such a joy to watch. I was looking for a small piece to make for my first slow stitch project. This is delightful, creating my vessel as I watch this the third time. Inspiring. I had a roll of burlap which provided such a simple base, brilliant. Thanks for creating and sharing this video. 🫶🏼
You are very welcome Elizabeth - happy stitching 🥰
Hi Tori:
Your finished piece looks great! The spiral stitching you did is perfection. I have burlap, scrap fabrics, beads, and other embellishments to make this with. Only thing stopping me is getting back to organizing my craft room. UGH! Will definitely watch you finish. Thanks for sharing. 💜😎🇺🇸
Yay thank you Joanne - so pleased you enjoyed the project. I know what you mean about the organising. I keep trying to get mine into some order but then things happens and whoops - it’s back to the desk of Captain Chaos 🤣😊🥰
Just had a wonderful idea that this would make a lovely cup cozy if made with the right proportions
It certainly would :) great idea 🥰
lovely video. always gets me going on a new portable project..... sort of a kick in the ..... ! THANKS so nice to use up our scraps. happy stitching!
You are so very welcome 🤗🥰
This piece is developing beautifully, thanks for sharing x
Thank you Lorna 🥰
Very cute idea. I move my fabric around all over the place, cute in, make smaller just like you, lol sometimes I don’t end up using it at all. Thank you for this tutorial, can’t wait to see how the little jar fabric glass turns out.
Yes that sounds absolutely like me Paula. It’s all about the process of finding a pleasing fit :) 🥰
Excellent video as always fren! You are absolutely winning! These are always amazing, so so cool to see how far you have come 💜 proud of you Fren! 💜
Thank you Fren for all your support 💜😍
I've just found your channel. All of your videos are so inspiring. As a crocheter I often find myself stitching with my crochet thread because I have it in loads of colors, I also find that my samples of crochet lace end up stitched into my slow stitching pieces. You have already inspired me to have a jar of loose threads.
Hello and welcome! I’m so pleased that you are enjoying the channel. Crochet thread is lovely to use - I sometimes raid my yarn to stitch with as I love a woolly texture. Crochet lace stitched in would look fabulous :). My ort jar is overflowing so I will be using some of it up soon! :) 😍
Love it
Thank you Jean 🥰
Very lovely project. Thank you for sharing
Thank you Maria :) 🥰
Love this…I enjoy watching your process!
Thank you - glad you enjoyed 🥰
❤😊
Love it!!! Your creativity has no bounds! I love your videos! Stay safe. Can't wait for the part 2. Hugs ❤
Thank you so much 🥰 - I will be uploading part 2 tomorrow 🤗❤️
Ah Tori this has been on my list for ages as well - love the handy little size, it's going to look beautiful. It uses your scraps, looks pretty, it's useful and fun to make - win-win-win-win!! Loved watching your dithering and dabbling in fabric process, it's all part of the fun :) ps you kow they're called Kooky Klips now right?! :)
It’s such fun to put together - I’m loving all the embroidery and stitching bits that go onto it as well - haha I could put my Kooky Klips in one :) 🥰
Love this! 😍
Thank you 😊
Yes more slow stitching pleade and the fancy stitches Please
There is quite a bit of slow stitching and there will be more :) 😀. I’m not a big user of fancy stitches - I use a basic set of 5 in the main. :)
❤🌹 beautiful thank you
You are very welcome 🤗🥰
So sturdy but will it hold 4 fingers of whisky?
Slip a glass inside it and I’m sure it would :) 🤣🥰
What was the depth of material
It was 8cms wide :)
I love this idea, would be great for my orts, I don’t have any burlap would stiff felt work as well? If not I’ve only got calico?
Yes stiff felt would definitely work Sylvia - or a stiff interfacing :) 🥰
@@KoolKookyKreatures thank you, I have some iron on pelmet interface that would work brilliant great suggestion xx
Yes that it perfect :) - enjoy making Sylvia 🥰😊
would felt work instead of the hessian. I dont have any of that. Thanks
It would especially the stiffened kind :)
When do you think part two will be ready
It will be uploaded tomorrow :)
I love these and have made 3. But in the last one my measurements were not right for the base. Is there another way to measure the bottom. I am thinking that if you measure the length of the main piece there must be a way to create a bottom based on this. Anyone?
Here is a mathematical way to find the base area byjus.com/us/math/base-area-of-a-cylinder/#:~:text=By%20multiplying%20the%20square%20of,with%20a%20given%20radius%2C%20r. I tend to “wing” it with the base and most times I can get it to fit 😄. Another way would be to draw out a pattern in paper and see how well it fits before cutting into fabric.
I’m so glad you are enjoying putting them together! 🥰
