Very distinctive voice! The band is comprised of 3 brothers and a cousin, I believe. My son said, “Mom, you gotta listen to these guys, you’ll love them!” He was right!😃
Julie Morehead you are correct. The band name came from the fact that their grandfather is named Leon. They're from Oklahoma and Mississippi. (I'm from Arkansas, right in the middle.lol)
Kings of Leon, The White Stripes, Arcade Fire, The Strokes and The Killers are pretty much the only legitimate rock groups to come out of the 2000s, and KOL is far and away the most traditional of all of them. They’re the only group you can describe as anthemic like a Van Halen or Led Zeppelin.

I adore KOL, Been to 20 of their concerts. Some of my favorites are Black Thumbnail, My Party, Notion, Crawl and On call. BTW I'm 70 years old and I think Kol is 2nd best only to Queen with just about as many tunes to choose from. Hope you'll be sampling more'
KoL are awesome, but you should really check out some of their esrlier work, like their first album, "Youth and Young Manhood" like Mollys Chamber or Dusty
