While all the young boys were dreaming of a '62 Chevy Impala, the Olds Starfire was one fast machine. And better looking from anything from Chevy, Ford, Dodge, or Plymouth.
One of my favorite cars of that era. I miss the oldsmobile.. my dad's family is from Lansing where these were built. Saw a lot of them when I was a kid. Beautiful..
I agree--the '58 T-bird is the first that I can remember that had console switches, followed closely by the stunning Chrysler 300. You ever wonder why, in the late fifties into the mid sixties, that MOPAR put such ugly black plastic switches on their cars, from the Imperial down? I used to own a '65 Olds 98 convertible with those beautiful GM switches.
@@loveisall5520 I have 2 questions as I once owned a 61 and a 62. Loved them both but I wanted to put big money down on a house so I let them go. On this blue one shown, what is going on with that horrible looking interior (horrible in that it looks like they just laid a replacement set of seat skins on the existing hardware but never installed them correctly)?
That is super, super nice ! Just think, back in the day, you could actually order gorgeous cars like that straight from the factory. If you could afford them.
I love the 1962 Olds Starfire.I bought one in 1962 in red 2 door coupe.Had it for 7 years and loved it.Gave it to my mother in law in 1969 and bought a 1969 Grand Prix.
This is a nice car brings back memories in 1968 when I was 8 years old my dad had the same exact car. The only difference it was red in the inside and red on the outside had power windows and AM & FM Radio Thank You for posting.
Had this same color car in high school and had to sell it because I got drafted into the Army in 1969, sure did love it and miss it to this day. Beautiful Automobile for sure....
Beatufull model car ,and the Blu color ! Whith crom sides ,look elegant !😱 Look like a new car ! I love old clásic Cars ,from I was child ! Congratularons ! Regards from Querétaro México 👍🇲🇽🙏 Robert 🤓
My Italian-born grandmother had one of these back in the late '60s. Poor granny could never really handle its horsepower though, she was always doing unintentional burnouts and doughnuts lol.
Beautiful car and I'm a Mopar guy but my landlord has one and I might have to talk him into selling it to me, it a little rough but worth restoring a beautiful piece of history and in my opinion art
Beautiful looking car... great color... but not sure why you felt you had to film in lightening speed over the dashboard. I would have liked to see the equipment, and you had the camera on everything for exactly .0035 seconds. What happened to the upholstery? No shot of engine compartment?
my pet peeve: restored luxury cars with mufflers but missing the resonators further down the tailpipes that made them silent brutes. I cannot stand the glottal snorting, blechh
EXCELLENT MACHINE.

I had a 1965 dark blue Starfire. Was a great car that I miss
That's when cars had beauty and style !
Not like some of the crap on the roads today.
I love the 60's, American cars are stunning to look at. Great lines, lots of chrome, big enough to pack family and friends and go cruise.
That is a most beautiful automobile. Looks & sounds fantastic.
The color is as great as the car .
My Dad had one just like this but had a newer 425 cu. engine in it. It SCREAMED!! The PRETTIEST Olds ever made!
Alway the greatest placement of the power window switches.

Incredibly gorgeous '62 Olds Starfire! I Love it and wish it was sitting in my garage!
My father owned a 63 starfire convertible. I loved that car.
Pure Art!
The '62 Oldsmobile line (especially the Starfires) were total styling and performance masterpieces. The 1961 styling not so much.
Dad traded our ‘55 red/white for this model in pale green. Absolutely stunning then and now. Thanks for the memories.
That is super, super nice ! Just think, back in the day, you could actually order gorgeous cars like that straight from the factory. If you could afford them.
The 1962 is my favorite Starfire. ❤️
The rear seat looks like it needs to be ironed lol!!
It is the car of dreams.

One of the best looking cars on the road. It 's my favorite.
My Italian-born grandmother had one of these back in the late '60s. Poor granny could never really handle its horsepower though, she was always doing unintentional burnouts and doughnuts lol.
Thanks ! The sound of that exhaust brought back memories from my childhood. It’s funny how sound triggers work on ones memory .
I really like this car, the color blue 💙 is the color for me.
An very nice car👍
Bucket list must have car along with the 1962 Pontiac Gran Prix
I had a black 64 Grand Prix.
I wish I'd kept it !
'62-'64 GP were beautifully styled cars
Beautiful car and I'm a Mopar guy but my landlord has one and I might have to talk him into selling it to me, it a little rough but worth restoring a beautiful piece of history and in my opinion art
Nice car indeed!
I had a white one with the red interior
The car is stunning!
Perfect tailpipes!
This is a masterpiece
My oldest brother had one in early 70 white white convertible top
god i love oldsmobiles.
My favorite Olds in my favorite color 💙
It's a beautiful car!!!
My dad drove this exact car (my grandfather's) when he was in college.
Love the colors though.
Wait this is so cool! I’ve driven this exact car! A family friend used to own it in Columbus!
My all time favorite car! We had one in Sea Mist Green from 1962 until Dad got the 98 olds in 1969. I want this car!!! Still have it?
I remember my folks bought a 98 LS and it sounded like that
That car if beautiful. And with the sound of engine running I can almost smell the gas fumes.
I still find GM styling to be at its peak during the Mitchell years of the sixties. And this fascinating color! Hard to pin down a description for it.
I have this exact spec and carry a case of Busch light in the back seat.
My ma had a 63 Buick Electra 225, which was similar to this Olds. Just beautiful!
Wow awesome👍
Mr. B. Here ! 👀😎👍🍸🍸

Made in a time when hub caps were not plastic!
nice 👍
How much did this sell for? My grandfather had one just like this and we are always looking for one just like this.
An old neighbor of mine had one in black.
Beautiful looking car... great color... but not sure why you felt you had to film in lightening speed over the dashboard. I would have liked to see the equipment, and you had the camera on everything for exactly .0035 seconds. What happened to the upholstery? No shot of engine compartment?
how could you restore that car and get those parts...it must be a survivor
👌👌👌👌👌
Nice sound what mufflers do you have on it
They are so cool I have 2. No one knows what it is
Available??
💥💥💥🥰💥💥💥💥
Очень своебразный дизайн.
my pet peeve: restored luxury cars with mufflers but missing the resonators further down the tailpipes that made them silent brutes. I cannot stand the glottal snorting, blechh
I'm the opposite love the sound without the resonator.
Cheers
Personally I lovem loud but each to his (or her) own.
needs exhaust work.
Back when American cars had personality, real style, and individuality. Now they are all just cookie-cutter copies of European and Japanese makes.
you never ever ever see these
Seats were not done very well 👎
Stunning! What a piece of art! Elegant, sophisticated and sexy landyatch 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼✨💙🤍❤️🩹
