What a beautiful car. I actually gasped when I saw it. That's unusual for me. Thank you guys for letting us tag along for the scenic ride, The surrounding are also very beautiful. So thank you both and the sellers for sharing.

This car (STARFIRE) was sold at Oldsmobile dealers in Ontario, most likely sold in B.C. as well. The side panels are aluminium with embossed lines and clear anodized. Without the correct panels it just isn't a starfire. The tail lights (4) is shared with the 98 model. The console and tack are shared with the 61 Starfire and the only change is where the power vent window switches are located. This is a nice car and in my opinion should be returned to it's original glory. Good luck with this project.

Makes me happy when I see younger car guys show interest in cars from this general time period.
    Looks pretty solid too!
62 was one of several great years for GM.
(The Olds motors were popular for many of us drag racers in the 60’s)
I hope you have a great time owning it.

Just saw this. I'm 64 this was a childhood memory. Our neighbor had. A brand new '62 starfire. It had a certain smell inside. She was the naughty mother. Of the block. I rode in it many times. Remember the gear shift between the bucket seats. What a a beauty. The chrome panel on the car door😂

My Dad had a 1962 Olds 98 which to my eyes was a huge car. I actually took my road test at 16 years old and passed. Three point parking was a bit nervous but with the power steering in that car I was able to ace it. I am 70 years old now but remember that experience. I loved that car.

What a great deal that you were able to help that guy. That can be a lonely highway. I know, because I had a knockoff wheel loosen and nearly depart from my Corvette on that road, and it took a lot of searching to find the spinner meant to secure the wheel.
Ironically, I used to check the spinners with a lead hammer at every gas stop, but I guess that windy road put enough stress on the wheels, that one came loose.

What a beautiful car! I love the tail lights and if I had a choice between it and an Impala I would choose the Olds.
When I was around 14yo, my dad picked up a 1961 Oldsmobile 2dr hard top(bubble back window) from a friend of his as an addition to his 1957 Oldsmobiles at the time. We played with it for a few years and took it to Oldsmobile shows along with the 57 Olds Super 88 convertible(original J2 tripower option) and 57 Olds 88 2dr ht(3sp column shift with added J2). That was in the 1990s and since then my dad has passed away and we got rid of all of his cars except for two.... the 1957 Oldsmobile 88 two-door hardtop and an all original 1933 Plymouth 2 door coupe that my dad actually used to ride in when he was a child.

what a beautiful old Oldsmobile! What a clean old car! WOW! The 60's and early 70's is when all the really nice cars came out! That car is probably like a tank; you could drive it through a wall and just keep moving down the road! You get on the highway with that old car and cruise! What an awesome old car. I was born in 66, so I grew up riding around in some nice old cruisers. Dad used to like buying the Buick Electra 225. I remember we had a couple of 4 door sedans, and once, when I was around 6 or 7, he bought a Buick Electra 225 station wagon, and we done some road trips in it and went to some of the lakes up North Like Desoto Ben Lake, which I think is a national wild life reserve. they were big and so easy to ride in!

@@MakeItKustom You never know when something your parents drove you around in back it the 70's would come to be something rare! The back seat folded down, so it was so convenient for me and my 2 sisters to take a long road trip back there with a foam mattress and a blanket laid over it, and then when we camped at the lake, we could sleep back there with the window down and even the back door. Electra 225 was definitely a great model for Buick! I have a couple fun memories from that for sure!

I like the fluted side delete and that 70's custom style can be achieved with a little 70's style candy lace patterns down the side of that phat blue stripe. Maybe a little something on the roof as well. Change the rims with an attitude adjustment. Find the electrical gremlins and get it on the road for a cruise.

You don't see new cars that just look that cool! I normally hate two tone paint jobs. That one I think looks perfect!!

Beautiful car. I drove a 1969 Delta 88 all through high school. I tried to find one a few years ago to no avail but did find a 1963 Galaxie 500 though. These land yachts look stellar on the ground. I’m with Carl, slam it, Adam!

In Chicago you could get killed by helping someone! I know from experience. It happened to a friends brother. I would like to live in Canada! That car is a great find. I used to do the transmissions on that model car. Two speed. Supper turbine 300. Nice video Karl.

You are blessed Adam, as a kid I always identified the Oldmobile as the car that rides really smooth. That car's bodylines are so unique and man is it straight. Congrats!!!

My high school buddy had a 62 Starfire, maroon with matching interior. He claimed that the speedo would flip over to white after 120mph... great highway car.

The 60s was a magical time for US car design and variety. Chevys are nice but there was so much more!
