- When using WooCommerce, it's important to get the Payment Gateways right. In this updated 2022 video, I'll show you why I install and set up the WooCommerce Payments before Stripe or PayPal and why you need a Business PayPal account.

Really valuable info. Coming back to eCommerce after a break....and back then it was only really PayPal buttons available unless you wanted to set up a full bells and whistles merchant account via banks - which was complex, expensive (and back then meant you had to physically go and meet with your bank in your branch!!!). This helped me get back up to speed, and learn how much easier things are with e-commerce payments now.

I use stripe and so far I have enjoyed working with them.

Really excellent Video! Which PayPal Plug-in did you use? Will it record the sale to the woocommerce backend like the stripe integration will or will I have to go into my Paypal account to see my transactions?

Do you need both PayPal and Stripe? is there any advantage to having both? Does it work when both are connected? If I heard correctly, Stripe was need to customers to use Apple Pay or Google Pay? Seems like it would make reconciliations difficult to have both.
How long does it take to withdraw the payments to your bank account? Or how long does it take for Stripe to deposit your money into your bank account when you withdraw your funds from them?
Which gateway would you suggest if I have a subscription plan within my Wordpress (YITH) and wanna receive payments via PayPal and Credit Card. Would PayPal be enought or combine this with Stripe?
I have a question. I first install woocommerce Payments, then stripe. Should I leave both enabled or is only woocommerce payments enough?
Thanks for this informative video - I have just connected my PayPal but for some reason whenever I go back onto woocommerce it is not enabled! Done it 5 times - could this be because my business account hasn’t finished being verified?
