Thank you man. If i cant find the info out there then I try to be the one to provide it for others in my situation lol i hate bad unclear tutorials on forums and stuff
@@nateperez9399 same man I’ve been wanting to do this since forever now and never seen anyone else have a real clear tutorial for the 9th gen sedan until I seen ur vid
Love this video! Definitely something i might do in the future! Do you have an IG? Also where did you get that diffuser? I've been looking everywhere for one like that!
Yeah it sucks how the red doesnt really fill the bar when its really bright out since its still just a reflector bowl. but honestly from directly behind for the most part it looks pretty much oem and you cant even tell its clear until you look from the side. Im already thinking about a full LED retrofit with sequentials and stuff once i learn how
Theres a custom tail light video on a 2012 out there and i believe the bulbs and bowls are all exposed (vs that secondary C-bar lens structure here on the 13-15). But since there are no clear lenses, oem nor aftermarket, to my knowledge for 12s the lens would have to be custom made
I think technically you could but the tails are different shapes. I believe the 12s go down lower towards the bottom of the trunkline while 13-15 flattens out so youd either need to swap bumpers or have a big gap under the 13-15 tail. But ive never seen anyone run refresh tails on a 12 without a full rear conversion
very nice job this looks amazing any idea where I can get clear lenses since I don't have eagle eyes to take the lens from? also to add where did you get that back diffuser from?
They dont make standalone clear lenses for sedans but they do for coupes. Otherwise you have no choice but to either buy eagle eyes to cut up or make your own lenses via vacuum form or resin mold or whatever works
Clear Tail lights are Illegal in OHIO and pretty much every single state and province just an FYI. Also confuses drivers into thinking they are looking at headlights which is why its illegal.
“Every motor vehicle […] shall be equipped with at least one tail light mounted on the rear which, when lighted, shall emit a red light visible from a distance of five hundred feet to the rear, provided that in the case of a train of vehicles only the tail light on the rearmost vehicle need be visible from the distance specified” Nothing stated about red appearance of tail light when unlit. Sounds like you didn’t bother to watch the video all the way through; the most critical part of making clears is swapping to red bulbs so you maintain red light output for running and braking. Signal and reverse remain amber and white. If anything, my rear visibility might have improved because I switched to LED which are even brighter and more vibrant than the OEM white halogen diffused through a colored lens. Don’t know how you could possibly confuse them for headlights when they’re literally red. So many cars come from the factory with clear tail lights nowadays so no its not illegal
i have a question?? which one of those tail lights are the brighter one. The normal red ones or the new clearly style one, or the one that he made with the same old style red one.???
You are literally the best. First to ever do the DIY vid for the clear 9th gen tails and I thank you hella

Thank you for this video man, My 2013 coupe has no aftermarket options and clears look so good.
Excellent tutorial! Very detailed!
where did you get the red eagle eye tail lights from?

thank you for the excellent tutorial. looks great. kind of a shame that the leds dont "fill" in the housing so lights appear more dim compared to OEM.

Where did you get the clear lens or did you pull them off the other tail lights ?
Been Looking for some oem hybrid tail lights for my civic
How did you get clear lens to seal back on?
Like where did you buy the lens from😭😊
Looks amazing
So quick question, for the 2012 si would the house be the same inside or would the bulbs be exposed ?

Can I get your exterior mod ?
Ik this is old but bro did you use the diffuser from the si coupe?
What type of wheels do you have? And what size tires?
Ig of the car?
So I have a question would the big lenses fit on an 2012 civic si sedan and I just don’t have to use the little ones

lovely car
Question. The red in the lens don’t come off? At all?
From what i could tell, no. Looks to be mold-in-color so you can’t just wipe away any red coating
Broooooo I really need to get that clear tail lights. Where did you bought them?
I got em new in box secondhand but you can get eagle eyes i think on ebay or a bunch of other websites, like $200 ish?
OEM looks better unless LED in new clear lens one 🤣🤣🙂
