Holy molly he's done it! He has found the smallest adult specimen ever recorded!
Isn’t it cute
Fr
Bro, that is still a juvenile. The real one would be 1000 times bigger than the Earth. Also keep in mind that they never stop growing.
The adult probably could have swallowed the planet assuming that they don't need air or water to survive the vacuum of space
@@Purpleguyfan01 then that means when it comes to size it’ll never be an adult since it constantly grows

@@user-oq7xc5qp3y um... game says so
@@darkenedwarriorrising1588 neat.
That kind of information can be only discovered in two cases: if there's bigger bones relating to the same species, or if it is stated in some sort of a note/letter/book/entry.
We clearly don't have bigger bones, so the only other thing is PDA entry.
So, could you please *qoute* the said entry, and not contribute to the rot?
@@user-oq7xc5qp3y in reality an "adult" is 7500 meters long.
Fun fact about it: it can also grow up to 15000 meters long and be named "Void Gargantuan Léviathan" because of it's skin beginning to look like a Void Léviathan.
Of course they can't grow up to 30000 meters long but only because they die before due to the fact they can't sustain their metabolism or simply explode because they are not adapted to this size and their tissues can't take the pressure.
@@ThomasRadureau I can say only one thing: source?
The funny thing about the gargantuan, is that even if it was in the game, it wouldnt be able to harm you for 2 reasons:
1-You're too small to be considered a threat or food
2-It wouldnt be able to swin in the crater bc its too shallow, and he would only stay on the void
edit: wth bro, i didnt know i got that many likes
It would actually be fun if you would just randomly hear massive roars from the void. Maybe randomly seeing something moving far, far away.

P2: That's just Bob. He keeps the other Leviathans in check.
P3: He lives in the void. Kinda cool dude.
P4: Yeah. We just try to keep out of each others business.
That would be a funny conversation.
just a reminder that on beta, void was an actual biome, the deepest om the gamr and had things below here, 100% random and procedural instead of fixed and procedural like the crater, ao maybe they indeed lived here.
It's the FACT that they are so huge and multiple LIVED on the planet (clearly died out for obvious reasons)
I think the misconception that this was a juvenile came from the fact that there is a juvenile specimen within the lost river, but that is not the main skeleton. The juvenile is much smaller than the main fossil you see in the Lost River, with the body being 150 meters long. People must have heard that there was a juvenile in the lost river and assumed that the big fossil was one.
Yeah but big fish
yeah but its funny the other way tho

I mean, I wasn't gonna go into it but strictly speaking, to my knowledge only one person in Call of Cthulu went entirely mad from encountering Cthulu.
Johansen's hair went white from the stress but he otherwise came out of it basically functional after ramming Cthulu with his ship, his surviving crewmate went mad and died on the way back, the rest of their crew didn't get the chance to demonstrate what their responses would be because they were directly killed by either Cthulu or the effects of its presence.
2 survivors of the initial encounter isn't an adequate sample size to say what the standard mental state would be.
As for people mentioning it, the narrator mentions it a lot and he's mentally fine besides paranoia over the cult stuff and the prejudice inherent to being a H.P. Lovecraft protagonist.
And all those artsy types who were incapacitated by their Cthulu dreams on the night Johansen and co. released it on the world were just like fine afterwards.
Which all goes to say: nah, what sort of individual we're talking about matters regarding how capable they'd be upon meeting Cthulu. :3

@@criminallystupidperson What bugs see when they see us. Yet we scared of them.
Funny if this leviathan thing would be scared of humans just like we are scared of spiders for example. Interesting thought
Yea, 1,300 meters long fish will cause fear in pretty much anything.
I can definitely understand why the devs wouldn’t add this, it just doesn’t work there’s no real way to make it immersive, as cool as the mod is.
I mean they could just make a custom area in the void where only it will spawn like think call of the void but much much further away from the crater edge
Imagine going through the void and suddenly all the ghost leviathans start turning back and darting away then you look around only to see a bunch of lights (being the gargs bioluminescence) and an eye the size of an island
@@anti-oblivion2707 yeah that would be cool if done right but unless this leviathan has a scripted attack that instantly destroys the players ship and kills them it probably wouldn’t work, since sometimes the regular leviathans can do some wonky stuff as is like phasing through solid rock for example, or just having a terrible hit box, a gargantuan leviathan would take the devs an unbelievable amount of time to make immersive, not to mention the devs had already said the larger creatures were the hardest to make such as the reaper and ghost leviathan, which is probably why they didn’t get much bigger than them. I think there should be more of a variety of leviathans in the void, maybe even a reason to go into the void, I think that would be cool, I’ve always wanted to just go for as long as I could in the void but due to the distance limit I simply can’t. The only real way that could happen though is with an infinite and randomly generated world.
@@mclovin2408 agreed, I feel like if we really wanted the garg to work it would just have to be a cool cutscene when you go to far out into the void, which don’t get me wrong would be sick, but not really “real”. And also I agree that the void should be spiced up instead of just adding a big garg
@@mclovin2408 I kinda feel like the void should stay empty because that's kinda it's whole vibe, like adding in 3 new leviathan types that spawn there would just defeat the point yk? Not saying i wouldn't find a scripted garg attack easter egg at like 5km out cool though
At the same time it was just a mod probably made by a single person. If they had a bunch of devs specifically working on it they could’ve definitely made something cool.

@@Razruer or not
@@Razruer WHAT
I feel like it'd become a sort of interplanetary sort of thing once it hits adulthood, but the environment would need to be perfect to reach that state
Maybe it’s like crocodiles and alligator that they don’t have a limit to their size, they just keep growing. Would be even worse if it’s also like lobster who are immortal. There would theoretically be a cap on the size because of physics and something with a skeleton probably won’t fair well when becoming a celestial body………unless this is the larval stage…..😬😬😬
Actually that has a lot of intrigue, that this leviathan is actually of a interplanetary specie and a alien to the planet
But it could also be that the juvenile actually is a lot bigger then a normal grown one, being like high of hierarchy or weird mutations. Like screaming death from how to train your dragon
Perhaps they could grow so big their molecular bonds couldn't hold themselves together and he just turns into a gas giant
@@Evandd that has also intrigue and is even harder to comprehend, what you imagine it would do for a living? Does it just stay put and have some sort of suspension feeding or does it seek out food as exoplanet like a amoeba or Nyx from persona 3?

I want more games to push enemy and environment design to absolutely ludicrous scales like this. Gigantic monsters that blot out the entire sky they are so large, rooms so big you can't even see the other side through the fog, towers so tall they reach across planets.
There's something about insanely huge objects and playable spaces that really intrigues me, and I feel it's underutilized in video games.

Megaton Rainfall's final boss really gets that feel right. You're a human-sized godlike being. The largest things you usually fight in the game are alien saucers the size of half a city, then this 3D sierpinski triangle 1/3rd the size of Earth starts cutting the planet in half and you can watch it from all angles, seeing the entire dizzying fractal by flying right up to it.

it's underutilized because it's really hard to do insanely huge spaces without them feeling empty. I feel like Shadow of the Colossus does giant enemies really well but i could see it being much harder with something the size of the garg.

larger organisms tend to live in deep oceans with very scarce food. So counter intuitively this creature would not be eating very large food as it would live in the void, granted I am not a biologist and have just heard of deep sea gigantism before, and just took a quick google search, and that gives me evidence that it would go after you.

@@user-oq7xc5qp3y What? Music? How does it relate to this?....
@@aftkirill2069 well, you said that you usually have feeling that you saw info before when you didn't, I provided a similar example.
Nah man you can't fool me thats a baby
I hate to think of the fact the mythological kraken is still bigger than this... The top of his head was said to be the size of an island and the smallest island in the world is around 80 square miles in size
Um. No? Smallest island is tiny, about a third of an acre.
The world’s smallest country is 100 meters squared which is pretty cool
And the mythological kraken is 20 meters long
@@user-zh5oc1bl6c Varies drastically on the mythology, it's not like there's a single kraken canon to pull from lol. Some are clearly just exaggerated giant squid/octopus combinations or bizarre rumors stemming from people confused about whales, but others were absolutely enormous creatures that would be measured in kilometers rather than meters.
@@realname8362 in 90 percent of stories the kraken is described as being as big a a ship and ships back then were 20 meters long

the adult garg is so large that it wouldn't even see an atlas sub as a worthwhile source of energy
Not completely correct
its finally an adult theres no such thing as a old garg because they never stop growing

2. No.

An unidenified form of Leviathan species has been located 400 Meters into the Void. Its size and Behaviour all hint on it being just a Juvenile all though its main Body including the Head is 25 Kilometers long. Be aware that its just a Juvenile. There is no comprehencible explanation for the Size of an Adult Leviathan of that Species.
Let me correct you
1 the max size of the gargantuan leviathan is 1300 meters at its largest as shown in the lost river
2 the lost river clearly shows a juvenile gargantuan leviathan and it is around 25 to 50 meters long
At first the sea dragon scared me this is so much more terrifying
Bro had enough, so instead of finding it, he summoned it.
Used the star gate rings
That isn't an juvenile , its a newborn !
