    Great insight. We have been on the majestic 4 times and always a mini suite. The power point that you thought was “Chinese” is actually an Australian one but it’s upside down.

    USB has been added to the ships that came after the Majestic. Nice review but you guys really nit picked the cabin.

    I sailed on the Majestic in 2019 and was upgraded to a mini suite. I found the shower very difficult to use during rough seas because of having to climb in and out of the bath. The strange power plug you see is for the Australian market and is not strange to me at all. I had a extended balcony which was very large but had no shelter from the weather due to being on deck 9 forward. I would not pay extra for this cabin.

      We have always preferred a walk-in shower to a shower/tub combination. No desire to take a bath in a hotel or a cruise ship.

      I had the mini suite too. Cabins about deck 10 all seem to have balcony covers. Ours on Aloha deck was well covered.
      There were two handles in the bath to stop falling. Luckily had no problems… would definitely have a mini suite again. Fabulous space

      @@happytraveller2122 The majority of mini suites on the Majestic have fully or partially covered balconies with the exception of a small number far forward and far aft on Deck 8 which are fully open with no protection from the weather. I was in one of these cabins starboard side. I have mobility issues which made the shower a problem for me, even though there was a hand rail. The cabins I am referring to are fully recognisable when looking down from decks directly above and when viewing videos of the ship.

    Majestic is Asian in July summer.
    Australia in our summer season. Oct to March. Hence the Australian electric plug..

    We have CPAPs so the steward brought us 2 long extension cords for the CPAP machines. We also brought extra power strips so we had more plugs.

      That is good to know. I was confident that Princess would find a way to accommodate you.

    Great review. Thanks!
    I'll be leaving on the 23rd on the Majestic in a mini suite. Now I know I need to bring an extension cord and one of the cruiseline accepted plug adaptors! I travel with a small very loud fan.
    I too dislike tubs!

    That room has tons of outlets IMO. There are all kinds of adapters available now. I have simple ones that turn a Euro outlet into two USB outlets. I have one that turns a Euro plug into a US outlet, three USB outlets and USB-C outlet (be careful with this one as the US outlet will still be 220V, don't plug a hair dryer or fan into it but you could plug a lap top if the block says 110-220 on it which virtually all do. I also have a US plug that turns it into 3 US outlets. None of these are surge protected which are not allowed.

    Great in depth video- Thanks! My wife and I are in the pre planning and research stage for a Princess Cruise to Alaska and we're leaning toward the Deluxe Balcony Suite or the Mini Balcony. The size of the balcony was of interest to us and you helped us make our decision. Thanks again!

      Interested in what you decided to book? Is the deluxe balcony suite balcony bigger or the same as the mini suite? We are going to Baja 10 days and love the balcony but it seems pretty small. Thank you.

    Sounds like you should upgrade to an expensive cruise line. We have found that Princess meets our needs. We have never been upset about the safe size or doors.

    • @CruiseReport
      @CruiseReport  ปีที่แล้ว

      We were not upset about anything, just reporting on what we found. Other cruise lines in this class have soft close doors and larger safes.

    That hand cream is the best. I still have some at home.
    Love the bath.
    Always take a stick on shelves to free up bathroom bench space. ( $2.00 shops)

    Thanks for this I’m going on Majestic in October and I upgraded to a mini suite for a minimal price at the time so wanted to see what it was like . The strange power point is Aust/NZ as Majestic sailed regularly in Australia pre pandemic .

    I will be going on the Majestic in April 2022. I declined a mini suite strictly because of the locations. I need to be mid ship because of seasickness, although with a patch it hasn't so far been a problem. The only thing I wish our deluxe balcony had was the curtain divider.

    Just disembarked from a mini suite. After a week in the balcony cabin. Soooo much more room. I’d definitely pay more if I had the money.

    Where there outlets for CPAP on night stands?? That’s unforgivable to us.

    The curtain is valuable if you have a third person sleeping on the pullout sofa/bed.

    those plugs can be used for Australlia and New Zealand , i thought the lamps had USB?

      I could not find them on Majestic. We found USB on Discovery Princess.

    We cruised the Majestic this September to Alaska in a mini-suite. We also were puzzled by the lack of USB ports. In addition to the noisy drawers/cabinet doors, we noticed that the hangers made a lot of noise banging against the back wall and placed all of the unused ones on the floor at night. We suggested that they place a noise dampener, like foam or rubber at the hanger level against the back wall. The full sized shower (tub or no tub) is a HUGE bonus, especially if you are a big/tall person. The showers in the standard rooms are quite small and difficult to maneuver in. For that reason alone we always book a mini suite.

    • @CruiseReport
      @CruiseReport  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We always take the extra hangers and put them in the bottom of the closet or in a drawer for that reason.
