We just came back from Discovery Princess in December to Mexico Rivera. We were mini suite club class. We had a bottle of wine there on arrival and exchanged it for 8 diet sodas. Husband doesn't drink wine. We did not try the canapés. We loved the dining room each evening, and occasional mornings and lunch. We were invited to 360 dining however we didn't feel well on night to have it; Hopefully we can try it next time. Our staff was outstanding, food excellent. The early embarkation and disembark was great, off the ship in about 7 minutes. We can't wait to go on Discovery again this year. Thanks for the video
Have done Club Class before. It's worth it. The dining option is great. You have the same staff all the time. No waiting in line for dinner. I loved it.

Just got off the Discovery Princess a week ago. We had a mini suite. You only got one a day cleaning. No turn down or chocolate on pillow. Did get the glass of champagne.
Hi Allison, this is our new go to! Love Club Class dining. We don’t need to worry about making reservations for dinner. We just show up and they promptly seat us.
Love your channel. I’m watching today from the jogging track on Wonder of the Seas, our last day. There are some chairs with a wonderful wake view. The gulf is lovely today. Not much enrichment onboard, except given by spa. But the food is so much better that I have experienced on Princess or Carnival. This is the first time I think I’ve ever gained weight on a cruise.

We thought it was a great value given it’s actually a two room cabin on the front corner of the ship with a huge balcony. Also, our parents will be in a suite, and we wanted to dine together in the Club Class dining room. It’s one thing to read about it, and another to hear from those who have experienced it. It’s a splurge for us that we can’t do every time we cruise, but we’re excited for this special trip.

We booked mini suite on 14 day Sky Princess. We loved it. We were concerned about shower in bathtub but there was a bath mat and grab bars so easy peesy! Loved the extra room too. Had 2 daily housekeeping and turn down. Like others I wouldn't pay extra for club class and dislike you can't eat with other friends or people you meet.
We really enjoy Cruising on Princess. I have been in a Mini Suite several times before on Princess. I find the Mini suites on deck 9 have no covered balcony. If it is raining you will fine it had to enjoy the balcony or if it is hot there is no shade. I also fine that the tub is a little hard to get in and out of. They are very deep. I don’t know if it is like this on all the ships.
We have a mini suite for our June cruisetour, we looked at club class, but it wasn't worth the extra cost for us because we don't eat in the main dining room, don't drink wine and we will be on the land tour before so wouldn't get on the ship until after getting off train with everyone else on the train.
Allison, thanks for the reminders. We have been happy users of Club Class, and have booked Club Class Mini Suite for our next round trip cruise to Hawaii on the Royal.
Thanks for the info on club class vs mini suites. If I had know the difference between the two I would have asked for club class. Or since there are not outstanding perks with mini suite I would have booked an inside cabin with a balcony. I told my PVP that I wanted the perks associated with the mini suite I booked. That obviously didn't happen. Now I can make an informed decision next time.
Club Class suites are located in the middle of the ship, not too high up or low down, where there is less movement. Tables at meals are generally setup for your party size, mostly two. So you get serviced immediately. Lunch is served only on sea days. The better breakfast is served upstairs on the Lido deck. My wife and I always book Club Class even if we use it almost exclusively for dinner. So much more an intimate experience.
I had not known about Club Class until my vacation planner at Princess suggested it. I enjoyed it very much however felt the need to eat in that dining room every night as opposed to the MDR where some nights I may not eat at all or go to the buffet. But the staff was tremendous and it was actually very nice to see the same waiters and they got to know you really well. No chocolates or evening turn down unless you request it. I did receive fresh towels and glasses every day though. I don’t think the cleanliness of the room was as good as it usually is.

Thanks for the info on your channel. I really don't feel that club class is worth the extra fare. We have a mini suite on our Transatlantic this fall. I think the extra charge is to replace the traditional dining that we used to have before dine my way came into being. We really appreciated the dedicated wait staff but sadly that is no longer available. After 20 cruises with Princess, we would really appreciate traditional dining brought back. club class for hundreds of dollars more is not acceptable for us.

Our first Princess was supposed to be Island Princess Club Class Mini Suite Panama Canal in March 2020. It was cancelled because of Covid. When they reopened cruise bookings for 2022 (in 2019), used my FCC to book this cruise again for May 11, 2022. There were no Club Class Mini Suites available so I had to settle for a regular Mini Suite. Two months ago, they had Club Class available, but my “Cruise Professional” controls my FCCs and I do not want to deal with how m/them again (due to other issues). So as far as I can tell, all my FCCs are now gone and I only get the downgraded cabin.

Hi Allison. We just got off Ruby Princess in a Club Class mini-suite. It was so worth it. The ship was very crowded with long lines in the other dining venues, buffet and everywhere else. Not lining up and waiting for seating was worth every penny. The dedicated wait staff service was personalized, and now we’re spoiled for this class of sailing! Happy travels everyone!

The nicest feature is a private dining area (just off the main dining area)with priority access, plenty of windows, and a dedicated staff who appear to be the "top gun" servers...all outstanding. As far as the club class room....it may be larger and the balcony might be larger..but on this older island princess..its still.small...and we've had rain for 4 days so no balcony time yet. Would I choose club class again? YES
Sailing on Princess for the first time in Sept. have booked a club class mini suite. Our last two cruises on Holland we had their club orange and thought it was worth the additional charge.

There is a difference between the mini suites and the Club Class mini suites. It sounds like you had the former which does not include the additional amenities, especially the separate dining area.

HI, I love you content!! We are cruising on the Enchanted Princess Sept 2024 (1st time princess cruiser) We have a mini suite not sure if it is club class. Do we get a mini bar set up? What are the perks for a mini suite no club class?
I just booked our first Princess cruise, a 15 nite transatlantic next spring. I knew we wanted a veranda, and decided to upgrade to the minisuite. Then came the question, since we knew nothing about Princess, what is the difference between club mini and plain mini mini? I got out my microscope. For an additional $600 per couple we would get 1. canapes (but only on request). 2. Segregated dining in the same restaurants. 3. 1 or 2 additional items on the dinner menu. 4. Fancier bathrobes. 5. Two half bottles of undrinkable wine. 6. Fruit in the room (but only on request, and I can still make that request in the mini.) That's it. Sorry, that is a rip off, plain and simple. I opted for the mini suite, I honestly believe going club would have left a bad taste in our mouths for the line as a whole.

I was wondering about this, too. We are club class, but are in group B for boarding. Our cruise planner at Princess told us just to show up at the port whenever we want and we’ll be able to board as club class passengers.
I think the name was changed from Club Class to Reserve Collection because Americans are suckers for words with more syllables. I'll still stick with my next Club Class cruise for January of 2024.
We. Took club class in March loved dining. But. Fruit wasn’t avalible and canapés. We’re a day late each time. No biggie because I know it is unique but my frustration was it was my last cruise as ruby and the folks at. Embarkation said they could only embark me by my medallion color not my room. And my bad I should have asked at guest services. But I didn’t know the location of club class departure area. Sail and learn

Hi Allison. We always enjoy your videos and updates since we have never cruised and this will be our first cruise (October 2022). When our travel agent booked our club class mini suite, when we looked more closely it had the following warning: "Balcony access limited while ship is at sea and has partially obstructed view". So what exactly does this mean? Does this mean we can't go onto our balcony while the ship is at sea (patio doors are locked maybe?) and how can the view be blocked? The suite is at the very front of the ship Lido Deck i think it's called. These rooms are suppose to be at better locations but the fine print warning makes me want to change rooms if we can't enjoy the balcony while out at sea.
@dee Jay Which ship are you sailing on and which cabin? I’m thinking that it might get too windy and the view would only be of the ocean way far out in front of you as the bridge is below of you. You won’t see the view on the side of the ship. When I think of a traditional view from a balcony, I think of how lovely it is to enjoy while the ship is moving and see the water over the edge of the ship, which you can’t do from the front of the ship. Try searching on TH-cam for your cabin and see if anyone has posted a video showing that cabin and the view. Also, if you send me the ship and cabin number I’ll see what I can find for you.

Hello Allison, I am a follower. I really appreciate your updates especially because I have a couple of princess cruises booked. I could not see anyway to send you a direct email. I know I heard you say you have started a travel agency business or part of the travel agency. I don’t see any contact for that. I have done several princess cruises especially my wonderful retirement cruise which was from Sydney Australia to LA. Here’s my question, I had a cruise in January that had be canceled. That’s taken care of for 2023. I am cruising on the crown princess to Alaska out of Seattle July 23. We just got a notification that the ship has to leave early at 3:30 PM because they have a slow engine issue and they are also skipping Ketchikan. I have a concern because it seems like a long way out to be changing an itinerary like this. I’m happy to be on the water. I was fortunate enough to visit Alaska when our daughter was a sea kayak guide in Valdese, but I’ve always wanted to cruise out of Seattle, because half of my grandchildren live in Seattle. I don’t understant. How they can make a decision like this so far in advance? What other issues may come up? Of course any excursions have been canceled and have to be rebooked. I’d love any insight you may have. Of course I’m gonna call Princess, but you know I will be on hold for a long time and a lot of times people were talking to really don’t know the bottom line. I came here to find info about "RESERVE COLLECTION mini suite" which is an option for me while trying to book a sailing on the Discovery Princess. I'm confused..is this what Club Class used to be? I've cruised on many other ships numerous times, but only once on Princess years ago, so their website seems a bit confusing to me! Thanks for any guidance on this.
Just got off a princess cruise on the emerald princess to the British isles. The device was the best and probably only thing we liked. The food and entertainment was mediocre at best. Having been on more than 25 cruises on different lines including princess. I would not recommend them at this time.

I just booked our first Princess cruise, a 15 nite transatlantic next spring. I knew we wanted a veranda, and decided to upgrade to the minisuite. Then came the question, since we knew nothing about Princess, what is the difference between club mini and plain mini mini? I got out my microscope. For an additional $600 per couple we would get 1. canapes (but only on request). 2. Segregated dining in the same restaurants. 3. 1 or 2 additional items on the dinner menu. 4. Fancier bathrobes. 5. Two half bottles of undrinkable wine. 6. Fruit in the room (but only on request, and I can still make that request in the mini.) That's it. Sorry, that is a rip off, plain and simple. I opted for the mini suite, I honestly believe going club would have left a bad taste in our mouths for the line as a whole.

Allison. Great video. Thanks for this. We have a club class for a cruise this summer. When does priority embarkation mean? I’ve heard that we don’t need to go at fixed times so was looking to arrive earlier.
I was wondering about this, too. We are club class, but are in group B for boarding. Our cruise planner at Princess told us just to show up at the port whenever we want and we’ll be able to board as club class passengers.

I think the name was changed from Club Class to Reserve Collection because Americans are suckers for words with more syllables. I'll still stick with my next Club Class cruise for January of 2024.
We. Took club class in March loved dining. But. Fruit wasn’t avalible and canapés. We’re a day late each time. No biggie because I know it is unique but my frustration was it was my last cruise as ruby and the folks at. Embarkation said they could only embark me by my medallion color not my room. And my bad I should have asked at guest services. But I didn’t know the location of club class departure area. Sail and learn

I just booked a Mini Suite and they told what was the difference between that and Club Class and did not mention half of what you said! Maybe I should call back?

Hi Allison. We always enjoy your videos and updates since we have never cruised and this will be our first cruise (October 2022). When our travel agent booked our club class mini suite, when we looked more closely it had the following warning: "Balcony access limited while ship is at sea and has partially obstructed view". So what exactly does this mean? Does this mean we can't go onto our balcony while the ship is at sea (patio doors are locked maybe?) and how can the view be blocked? The suite is at the very front of the ship Lido Deck i think it's called. These rooms are suppose to be at better locations but the fine print warning makes me want to change rooms if we can't enjoy the balcony while out at sea.
@dee Jay Which ship are you sailing on and which cabin? I’m thinking that it might get too windy and the view would only be of the ocean way far out in front of you as the bridge is below of you. You won’t see the view on the side of the ship. When I think of a traditional view from a balcony, I think of how lovely it is to enjoy while the ship is moving and see the water over the edge of the ship, which you can’t do from the front of the ship. Try searching on TH-cam for your cabin and see if anyone has posted a video showing that cabin and the view. Also, if you send me the ship and cabin number I’ll see what I can find for you.

Hello Allison, I am a follower. I really appreciate your updates especially because I have a couple of princess cruises booked. I could not see anyway to send you a direct email. I know I heard you say you have started a travel agency business or part of the travel agency. I don’t see any contact for that. I have done several princess cruises especially my wonderful retirement cruise which was from Sydney Australia to LA. Here’s my question, I had a cruise in January that had be canceled. That’s taken care of for 2023. I am cruising on the crown princess to Alaska out of Seattle July 23. We just got a notification that the ship has to leave early at 3:30 PM because they have a slow engine issue and they are also skipping Ketchikan. I have a concern because it seems like a long way out to be changing an itinerary like this. I’m happy to be on the water. I was fortunate enough to visit Alaska when our daughter was a sea kayak guide in Valdese, but I’ve always wanted to cruise out of Seattle, because half of my grandchildren live in Seattle. I don’t understant. How they can make a decision like this so far in advance? What other issues may come up? Of course any excursions have been canceled and have to be rebooked. I’d love any insight you may have. Of course I’m gonna call Princess, but you know I will be on hold for a long time and a lot of times people were talking to really don’t know the bottom line. You can call Princess and really explain why the changes to the cruise are so hard on you and see if they will let you move to a cruise on another ship. I talked about someone who was able to do that in my video yesterday. I would love to hear how it goes for you. Thank you so very much.
I came here to find info about "RESERVE COLLECTION mini suite" which is an option for me while trying to book a sailing on the Discovery Princess. I'm confused..is this what Club Class used to be? I've cruised on many other ships numerous times, but only once on Princess years ago, so their website seems a bit confusing to me! Thanks for any guidance on this.
Yes, Reserve Collection is the name that is being used now instead of Club Class.
Just got off a princess cruise on the emerald princess to the British isles. The device was the best and probably only thing we liked. The food and entertainment was mediocre at best. Having been on more than 25 cruises on different lines including princess. I would not recommend them at this time.
