really enjoyed the gameplay and hoping to see more! would love to see some camera angles of the dice rolling and maybe a shot of the board to see what attacks are being chased
one thing i noticed: when Loki played not this time to prevent 6 damage at the 45:00 mark, he forgot to roll for defense still, so he could have gotten a bit extra out of being attacked, still great gameplay, and you guys did a great job at keeping up with the rules of the game!

Hey! Thanks so much for the feedback, we were so excited to get this to the table that we just set the cameras up as quick as possible. I completely agree about the angles and we will incorporate that into the next ones, unfortunately the next couple are about the same.
Aw man I can't belive I did that with Loki! Thanks for giving us some grace with our first playthrough!

Great playthrough! I just got my MDT yesterday, and I went with Loki for my first game against my son. Played one against my wife using Scarlet Witch; both characters were a lot of fun, and I'm looking forward to trying out the rest of them!

Scarlet Witch is great! The crackle is such an effective status effect.

10:38 loki still gets to roll a defensive roll if he took 5 damage right?Aldo 34:40 loki did not take his 10 damage

Hey! You are absolutely right on both instances. Thanks for watching our first playthrough and for the helpful feedback!

What can I say, he's a trickster! He got what he deserved.

One suggestion, dont mount the camera on the table. Makes it wobble a lot which can giuve people nausea

Yes, we have learned from some of our mistakes. Our newer videos shouldn't have that problem anymore!

    I LOVE those illusion cards!

They are so thematic I love it!

Man, love this theme and love the mechanisms, but that down time between turns (and this was only 2p!) looks painful.
Thanks for this video - as shiny as this looks, I think I'm going to pass for now - and keep hoping that Marvel Remix is the family Marvel game I've been waiting for!

Thanks for watching! I highly recommend it.
This was our first playthrough of any Dice Throne Game, in the next videos you can see we got the time down almost by half. The more you play it the more you get comfortable with the action spaces and the characters mechanics of play.

It's definitely something to keep in mind. I give a lot of time to new players, because there is a lot of information to parse when you're deciding if you want to play cards, if you want to push your luck for a better ability, or go with a safer option (and your decisions may be affected by what point of the game your at, and the current health of you and your opponent). BUT, as you play the game, you absolutely learn to judge these things a lot faster. When I watch really experienced players go, they don't hesitate too much on their main phases, and when they roll, they know what they want to do so well that it's just a matter of rolling and re-rolling without a lot of odds-calculating going on. So it can stretch up to an hour for slower gamers, or as fast as 15 minutes for someone who really plays quickly.

I'll also add that unlike games where there is no player interaction and games where a turn is pretty well set before the turn starts -- it's actually very FUN to watch your opponent play their turn. There are opportunities to change their dice, or remove their tokens, or even finish them off with Mjolnir before their turn finishes! It's not "down time" in that sense, it's still engaging. Will they roll an ultimate, or will they completely mess up their turn! Either could happen!

@@joelface I definitely agree, and now with more playthroughs we are more comfortable with the actions and we are manipulating each other's dice which is even more interaction. It's been a blast

what card did Thor use to finish Loki? is that a special card only found in the introductory box?

    • @dadsanddice
      @dadsanddice  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Great question, it was actually the Mythic Ability card. We didn't realize it, but it's used in Dice Throne Adventures

When does Paul get to win?

    • @dadsanddice

😭😭😭If I were in it for winning I wouldn't have been in it long. I definitely won Res Arcana though, and maybe a few more that are coming up.
