This was my nightly sound 40 years ago, before the internet, living in a 17’ travel trailer. I had no money, a minimum wage job, but I had my dog and the sound of the rain. Life was hard back then, but it was simple. Thanks so much for posting this. ❤️

I’m a nurse and work many 12 hours shifts in a row. The stressors of seeing many of my patients die and the long work hours and lack of sleep as taken a toll on my health. I found this video and is has helped me tremendously get the much need sleep on my days off, so that I am alert and refreshed to get back to taking care of my patients. Thank you so much.

Imagine a video without dislikes, would you trust that video?? Maybe it's Aliens trying to get you to sleep at the sound of rain induced with Alien frequency so that they can steal your brain juice to power their airpods and are experts at removing dislikes from their video.

Turn on the fan and air-conditioning turn all the lights off and meditate and visualize as if it's really raining while you are sleeping in a tent or something the best!!
I am very sensitive to certain sounds and frequencies. Despite all the nice rain sounds on here this one seems to fit the best. There's very little popping of raindrops which sound like a facet more than real rain with others which over do it.. The others sound more like white noise or hissing sounds. And the ones with thunder seem to overpower the rain in general and startle you rather than make you feel comfortable.
I can't stand the ones with gentle rain but popping lightning. I wonder if there is a video out there that balances the two elements at a tolerable level 🤔
Fun fact, A lot of people just record the popping sound of cooking bacon and label it "rain noise" So, the extra popping you hear may be greasy bacon and not rain.
I have suffered for a long time from extreme anxiety and other mental issues that made it hard to sleep. On average i got around 2 hours of sleep a night and would crash through the day. I started to listen to this however and it really helps. I can sleep faster and easier and it helps my mind stay distracted from paranoia and bad thoughts while i try to fall asleep. Because its getting easier to sleep slowly im recovering. I get at least 6 hours of sleep a night now im so happy!
I’ve had Insomnia, night terrors, and exploding head syndrome all my life… it’s Awful. Sleep always felt like torture as opposed to something to look forward to.. But meditation, ambient noise like this, magnesium and melatonin have really helped me find peace. Still get night terrors, but not nearly as often. Just remember, you’re not alone out there. 💤
I have the same problem when trying to go to sleep my mind just races, thinking this thinking that...But the sound of just rain or sometimes rain with distant thunder sound really helps for me to get some sleep. Sleeping pills don't always work. Great you are getting some sleep too by listening to this YT video, nite nite

This is by far is the best rain sound I've tried and I've tried a few. It even gives me the cold feeling and goosebumps I get when I hear the real thing. I dont suffer from insomnia but I always love the feeling of falling asleep to rain.
I searched so hard for the right sounds to help me sleep after I lost my husband. This one actually helps. Just soothing rain that doesn't sound like a sizzling steak, no thunder to enter my dreams as gunfire, no startling sounds of any kind. Thank you for doing this. I love it!

Jan, I feel the same way. Since the passing of my wife 16 months ago, I have tried everything from sleeping pills to cognitive methods to ease my mind and get the sleep I need. But this sound image is what I tend to return to.

FINALLY! A rain sound that doesn't have random bouts of thunder and the random louder/higher pitched rain drops!! This is uniform and blends together as background noise while I'm trying to fall asleep! I use it to block out my partner's snoring and to keep my dog from barking at random noises while I'm trying to sleep 😅

I had a really bad time going to sleep and staying asleep lately, because I had a hard breakup. During the first weeks, I cried myself to sleep every Night. Then I had a long period of problems with panic attacks. After all I started getting random outbursts of anger because I had nightmares about the breakup. Hearing this every night gave me some kind of light at the end of the tunnel. It helped me to relax and gave me the realization healing needs it's time and it's okay.
I’m really sorry for what you are going through, but you are wise in understanding that healing does take time and goes through stages. Gradually it gets better but we have to go through it we can’t go around it. I’m so glad this has been some comfort for you, the rain is so simple but it is quite comforting and helps to soften our thoughts

This is one of the only rain videos that actually help with my anxiety I dont know if it’s because the rain is hitting a window or what but I feel a weight lifted off me everytime I play this one… I’m always worrying this video completely stops that.

This is by far is the best rain sound I've tried and I've tried a few. It even gives me the cold feeling and goosebumps I get when I hear the real thing. I dont suffer from insomnia but I always love the feeling of falling asleep to rain.

I searched so hard for the right sounds to help me sleep after I lost my husband. This one actually helps. Just soothing rain that doesn't sound like a sizzling steak, no thunder to enter my dreams as gunfire, no startling sounds of any kind. Thank you for doing this. I love it!

Jan, I feel the same way. Since the passing of my wife 16 months ago, I have tried everything from sleeping pills to cognitive methods to ease my mind and get the sleep I need. But this sound image is what I tend to return to.

I understand how you feel and I’m glad my videos can help you a little. Sometimes I just completely turn off all media aside from making my TH-cam videos for this channel, and I feel quite a bit more peaceful more. I think we really have to control what we see and read… It’s just too much otherwise and it’s overwhelming

I had a really bad time going to sleep and staying asleep lately, because I had a hard breakup. During the first weeks, I cried myself to sleep every Night. Then I had a long period of problems with panic attacks. After all I started getting random outbursts of anger because I had nightmares about the breakup. Hearing this every night gave me some kind of light at the end of the tunnel. It helped me to relax and gave me the realization healing needs it's time and it's okay.
I’m really sorry for what you are going through, but you are wise in understanding that healing does take time and goes through stages. Gradually it gets better but we have to go through it we can’t go around it. I’m so glad this has been some comfort for you, the rain is so simple but it is quite comforting and helps to soften our thoughts

I always used to love rain,but 5 months ago,the rain stack in my mind so deeply,all of my friends when they see rain out of the window,they call me to watch it, everyone knows how much I start to love rain....i don't know why but i guess there's a missing piece of myself and i think rain make it feel better,thank you for that video, it's whatever I wanted ❤️🙏god bless you 🙏❤️
