I mean, there was A LOT of ugly games and the pace was crazy slow at times....but I agree with everything else, the competition and rivalry was on a different level. I still love the NBA but it's a very different league now. I'd take a slow, close grind-it-out game over 50 three-point attempts easily. Back then averaging 20ppg actually meant something.

Only the Heat/New Orleans Hornets went further (Heat won in 7 games) 2004 Western Finals was a dud (Lakers/Wolves) And the Finals ended in 5 games and was mostly remembered for the Pistons upset, and the games outside of game 2 were forgettable

This era was great. You had to earn points and if a player averaged over 25 ppg it was really remarkable. But because of casuals NBA changed the rules and wanted more easy points and almost no defense.
At 11:21, Nash's foot was on the line. He only went outside the line when he was put off balance by the contact, and even then his feet weren't planted. Ref made the right call.
