Amber Cloyd that made me cry when I saw the show 😭 I thought she died, and I was like “NO! ELPHIEEEEE DONT DIE ON MEEEEEEEE NUUUU *SOBS* *SOBSSS* 😭😭😭😭😣😖
I remember seeing a video it was called Death stairs or something it was during the show a dresser was recording I can’t find it anymore sadly. I’m guessing if it was deleted it’s cause it was during the show
If they ever make a movie version, i want to see the stair scene played out onscreen. Where Elphie and Glinda are escaping from the Wizard. Always wanted to see that
Seeing the route that all of the Elphaba and Glinda actresses have to take every day, sometimes twice a day, during Defying Gravity in under 20 seconds is absolutely crazy.
4:30 he's talking about "As if By Magic" it's pretty amazing. I wish they kept it because it's pretty important. It's a moment for Doctor Dillamond and Elphaba connecting. Heard the effects were amazing too
I know exactly what she means about the empty theater. Every year my dance center puts on a show at this huge theater and when we go in before the show, about two hours before people begin to show up (so we can stretch and such), it feels so cool to see all the seats (and it's like that theater, with balcony seats and two boxes on either side of the stage, complete with an orchestra pit!!) empty. :D
Omg! I literally died when Derek said his line, "I SAID SILENCE!" Day made....wish I was there for one if those special performances of when he was too tired to scream, hahahaha
At 2:53, I was like what is that screaming?! And then I realized that that was the record of the melting scene! If you watch Nicole Parker, she says that the melting scream is a recording!
I had a backstage tour when I saw wicked and it was the most magical experience! I got to see the wig room and all the props and stand on the stage. I met the Fiyero at the time, Jonah Platt, and I even got to touch the spell book! It was amazing!!! I'll never forget that theater. It's beautiful!
So not only does she have to run those stairs for Defying Gravity, but she also has to do it in that insane act 2 dress for her entrance in No Good Deed
Won Wicked Lottery and got Second Row seats!! Such a amazing show! Lindsay and Derek were fantastic! I wish I got to go to the stage door and meet Derek! :(
A very close family friend got me a chance to go backstage and on stage on Warhorse when it was at the Lincoln. Once in a lifetime experience that I am VERY lucky and happy to have had
Back in the sixth grade we did drama. Some of us were chosen to perform at the end of year concert with two minute long melodramas. Basically what happened was there were four mini stages in the hall and there were a few groups on each stage and after all the groups were done the audience moved to the next stage. My group which was me and my two friends were going to perform at the concert. Originally I was in a different group with one of my friends in another group and we wanted to perform but the other kid in our group kept forgetting the lines, so we ended up with our other friend and the concert was like a few days away so I had to learn the script super quickly. I learnt it in one day but every now and then I forgot a line and just made it up. I remember that like around midday I was doing like my fifth run of the show and I played the lead in this show and at that time the other sixth graders were watching. When I heard my cue I stepped up on stage and as soon as I did everyone started clapping. It was the greatest moment of my life. I felt how Glinda must have felt when she enters the stage in the bubble and everyone claps. Anyways I had to do 12 runs of the show and by the end of the day I was so exhausted I nearly fainted. Also keep in mind that I was playing a police and I was wearing a long sleeved shirt and a fat jumper and a police hat and it was boiling hot that day. Like after my third or fourth run I started sweating like mad. Anyways I know this has nothing to do with the video but I just wanted to share my story about my experience with drama.
omg that's awesome!! touring the Gershwin must have been such an amazing experience, I love that theater! plus running into Lindsay must have been the best bonus! I meet her Sunday at her jazz concert and I couldn't function lol
Countrycowboy08 Matt is great but I argue him with two words. Aaron Tveit. Him, Derek, and Matt are my favorite Fiyero's. I'm also hoping Corey Cott will get to do the show at some point, right now with Kara would be excellent.
At 2:51, that's Lindsay's pre recorded "Melting scream". For those who don't know all of the Elphaba's when they melt (have their screaming prerecorded for the scene)..
I've been watching a lot of greenifying videos as I attempt to get a nice cheap yet quality elphaba makeup palate I decided to rewatch episode 1 but planned to stop there episode 2 and I have nO REGRETS
I completely lost it when Derek said "I said silence" omg
YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
I literally laughed out loud just now when I said it. Every time too. BAHAHAHAHA
Oh my god me too!
The "I said silence" where he cracks is so funny! Oh my gosh!
I want a bootleg of Derek's voice cracking while saying "I said silence" right now...(please and thank you)
Sarah Glover Me too 😂
I know
I want a bootleg of Derek. For how popular he is, there seems to be a resounding lack of them.
2:52 the witch melting scream😂
Amber Cloyd that made me cry when I saw the show 😭 I thought she died, and I was like “NO! ELPHIEEEEE DONT DIE ON MEEEEEEEE NUUUU *SOBS* *SOBSSS* 😭😭😭😭😣😖
Amber Cloyd omg yeah
*• Purple Panda Playz •* yeah I knew she was supposed to die because of Wizard of Oz but no
I think they was tryna get attention so they could get on the vlog😂
Lindsay's face when Derek describes his Fiyero pants XD It's too much for me lol
i would get lost during the running part for Defying Gravity HAHAHAHA
Kaká Marques same i would freak out
I would need someone my first few times
Hahaha
"I said silence!" OH DEREK.
THE FACT THAT YALL RUN AROUND THE STAGE BEFORE DEFYING GRAVITY SCARES ME
I remember seeing a video it was called Death stairs or something it was during the show a dresser was recording I can’t find it anymore sadly. I’m guessing if it was deleted it’s cause it was during the show
Joel ARTPOP I think if you get half way through this video you will see the stairs, they are steep.

If they ever make a movie version, i want to see the stair scene played out onscreen. Where Elphie and Glinda are escaping from the Wizard. Always wanted to see that
They are making a movie version but it won't come out until 2018 or 2019.
One True Vikingbard the movie is coming out in December of 2019
Elphie Girl the movie is coming out on december 20, 2019! 😄
i feel like they would do that, rlly hope so!
Exactly one year until the movie comes out!
Derek is super adorable!
Ur a boy...u think a boy is adorable...that's just wrong
No its not. Don't get involved in theatre if you can't handle a little gay.
Yeah a little "gay"...
+Chubby Penguin 26 fuck off. i'm gay and i have crushes on girls on broadway and that's bad? GTFO.
***** NOTHIN WRONG!!!
Seeing the route that all of the Elphaba and Glinda actresses have to take every day, sometimes twice a day, during Defying Gravity in under 20 seconds is absolutely crazy.

"I SAID SILENCE!" 14:28 can't stop laughing 😂😭
I heard you do that I said silence squeak. I thought it was meant to happen like he was nervous that she might hurt him or something!
4:30 he's talking about "As if By Magic" it's pretty amazing. I wish they kept it because it's pretty important. It's a moment for Doctor Dillamond and Elphaba connecting. Heard the effects were amazing too
the amount of times ive watched this whole series in the last 6 years is sad but also I will not stop
I like Lindsey! She's so down to earth and cool!

I’m literally watching this 10 years later, it’s 2023
"I said silence!" I could not stop laughing!
Went backstage a few months ago... It was the most magical experience of my life. I started crying when I stepped onstage lol
I MISS THIS CAST SO MUCH
I love her personality!!
so interesting to get another point of view of the "death stairs" as nicole parker called it
I had a backstage tour when I saw wicked and it was the most magical experience! I got to see the wig room and all the props and stand on the stage. I met the Fiyero at the time, Jonah Platt, and I even got to touch the spell book! It was amazing!!! I'll never forget that theater. It's beautiful!

OMG I love Derek! He is so cute and such a nice and funny guy! Did I say he was attractive! I hope I can see him in Wicked this weekend!
Derek seems so different in this from Royal Misfits. He really has matured a whole lot.
Matured in what way?
WHATEVER APP HE USES-- I NEEEEEDDDD
saame lol

Holy shit I saw these two in wicked so long ago
Anyone else watching for the first time in 2022? Lol
Me
Matt Shingledecker may be the hottest Fiyero, but Derek Klena is the most charming!
oh my gosh, yes!!!!!
Countrycowboy08 Matt is great but I argue him with two words. Aaron Tveit. Him, Derek, and Matt are my favorite Fiyero's. I'm also hoping Corey Cott will get to do the show at some point, right now with Kara would be excellent.
Aaron Tveit is the hottest Fiyero for me! And KDM is rather hot as well..😉😉
Love the Ben Folds Five playing in the background!
Julianne!
At 2:51, that's Lindsay's pre recorded "Melting scream". For those who don't know all of the Elphaba's when they melt (have their screaming prerecorded for the scene)..
She's literally getting me into Wicked again
the "I said silence!" at 14:28 is priceless
Who is watching this during COVID, I am
At the part where they said "i SaiD SilEnCe" ( 14:28 )
*I'm dying*
I loved this show I went to watch it in Birmingham
It is my lifelong dream to play elphaba in wicked. If only I could sing 😔
I can kinda sing, and Elphaba's my dream role too !!
Wicked is my fav musical ever!!! Love this so much
melhazza interesting. I thought you LOVED Dear Evan Hansen!?! What a lying wrench!
I don't like Lindsay as Elphaba much but I do love these vlogs! Much more interesting than your usual backstage videos.
I've been watching a lot of greenifying videos as I attempt to get a nice cheap yet quality elphaba makeup palate
I decided to rewatch episode 1 but planned to stop there
episode 2 and I have nO REGRETS
I was at the show when Derek maked the squeeky voice
My favorite new series!
since I live in Scotland and I'm a broke student these vlogs are the closest I'll ever be to Broadway 💔
Incredible vlog. Keep them up!
i love this musical!
That running is crazy. I didn't realize you did it twice.
Saw Wicked at the Mayflower about a year ago and I highly recommend
