I totally wish you the actors and actresses could wear like a go pro during the performance. To see the whole show from their eyes... It would be awesome!!
I looove when they're in the greenifying process and all of a sudden, the show starts up again and you can hear it, but everyone keeps on going as if nothing's happening. Ugh, I love it.
David Pontrella Maybe it’s because after, she says “is ever gonna bring me down!” And so she is getting higher, defying gravity showing that no one can pull her down, no matter how high she is. Lol, idk, though.
Watching these makes me want to be Elphaba so badly. And 1) I'm a dude, and 2) not even a dude with a high range. Thank you, Lindsay, for letting me live vicariously through you.
Hahahah fun fact.... Lindsay doesn’t really sing in the shower anymore because while she was doing Carousel, her vocal coach told her not to and now she doesn’t anymore 😭
Thank you, Lindsay and everyone at Wicked for this backstage pass! I absolutely loved this series. Getting to see Elphaba's perspective during Defying Gravity was pretty amazing, and as a fan, I so appreciate Lindsay's enthusiasm for not just the show but for the show's fans. You're awesome! We'll miss you!
I just watched through this whole fly girl series because I just discovered my playbill from when I saw Wicked in 2013 on my nyc/dc school trip and I was lucky enough to see Lindsay during her run. It was crazy going back in time through these vlogs now that I am older and my love and appreciation for theater has just grown more than ever. I've never forgotten the feeling I felt as a young girl when Defying Gravity ended in just such amazement at the passion and power a live show could bring. Wicked was the first Broadway show I ever saw and I am just so grateful for this production. Hopefully I will be able to see it again some time in the future... who knows maybe even for the 20th anniversary ten years late... just sending that out into the universe...
My Favourite Moments of this Video is1. When Lindsay showed everyone what it's like to fly During Defying Gravity using the Lift.2.the Degreenifying Process is very nice because Lindsay Showed us what she does to Get the Green Makeup off like makeup wipes and eye makeup remover and in the Shower she used a special Soap called Dr Branners Magic Soap to get the rest of the Green makeup off especially when she almost died in the Shower by her Dresser holding a Plastic Knife and Lindsay's Scream was Funny
I thought this is terrifying. Then I saw with Kara Lindsay on how Glinda starts the show in the bubble ride up up there in the dark beyond the lights and all. Much more terrifying!!
I did Show Boat there at the Gershwin for our 3 year run there in the late 90's. Thank you so much for this magical walk down memory lane as I watch your fantastic vid's backstage at that beautiful Theatre...I remember it all. You are all amazingly talented and though, Broadway is still closed due to Covid, I know you will all be back one day soon. Cheers from Canada!
I think her vlogs are the best Wicked backstage vlogs out there. Don't get me wrong, I love Little Sparkle, Call Me Madame and Fiyero Time too, but in Lindsays you really get to see what is like to be on this show. Love her
These were absolutely fantastic!! Totally binge-watched all these episodes in one glorious go. Just this weekend gone, I went to see Wicked in London for the twelfth time. I simply adore the show and it was fascinating and wonderful (har) to get this incredible sneek peek at what goes on behind the scenes. Amazing. Thank you so much for making these (even if I am a little late to the party in watching them ;) )
Miss. Lindsay, You are an amazing person and performer and you have made my dream of wanting to be Boq or Fiyero on Broadway or some form of a company even stronger. You are so talented and I definatly want to hear more from you soon:) Sincerely, TheDarkRideBoy
PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE give Lindsay and 'Flygirl' a second season!!!! She deserves it and we all love her and the series! Not to mention you would get plenty of channel views ;)
I just binge watched all of the Fly Girl episodes and I need more!!!!! They are so interesting and fun to watch. I love watching these types of videos because as a person who LIVES and BREATHES theatre, I just love to see how everyone just hangs out backstage, and how quickly they change costumes, the way that they practice with each other and are al just great friends! I love this so much, please make more. 💚
I can't thank you enough for doing this, I wasnt allowed to go wicked due to money but this Ahs giving me another experience of wicked that I will never forget. Thx u Lindsay
Lindsay, I don't like to get water in my ears either! Especially since I am a swimmer and I used to get swimmer's ear a lot(or just a lot of ear infections in general)! ;)
When I turn 22 I would immediately audition as Elphaba (Or even Glinda ;) [I can hit those NOMTW notes, still needs some practice though specially on the third 'wicked' part]) Hopefully, my voice will be so much better at that point. I told my schoolmates to vote me as the school vice president, so that there will be musical/theater-like plays in the school, but no. They didn't vote me. I guess I'm the only musical geek in our school.
+Autumn De-Morette sometimes the London production has open auditions which is for everyone. However it's just the chrous. In Broadway, you can audition for chrous through backstage.com. You just need to keep checking every month for a show you want to do. Wicked is currently going to do auditions for the tour and the Broadway production in late August. You get paid over $1,000 per week. However for the London production is a bit harder. Just keep checking casting pages on social media such as Casting Now Facebook, Casting Weekly on Facebook or Twitter. The Stage is also good for auditions as they list upcoming uk auditions on their website and you can even apply for it by making an profile on the page.
+mollydog181 also having an casting agent would help. Which help Katie get an audition for the show and the role of Glinda in the first national tour of Wicked
They only use one kind of green, it's a chromacake water based makeup from MAC that was already available before the show existed, think it's called Landscape Green. The only time they use a different shade is when the actress playing Elphie is black, and they need the shade to be slightly darker/stronger. In response to being able to see streaks in the paint, some productions use a paint brush and others a sponge, but there shouldn't be and issue due to the setting powder etc etc.
1) WHERE WAS DEREK?!?! OH MY GOD 2) NO LINDSAY YOU HAVE TO KEEP DOING THESE VLOGS UNTIL YOU LEAVE 3) thank you so much for doing the lift thing I've always to see that! 4) the curtain call was really cute, what I would give to to be greeted with that applause every day
So, first monday without Fly Girl. all i can say is, it is not the same, this was so much fun and interesting. please think about a second season. i would love it. All the best from Germany to the cast os a great great Show.
I was reading an article about Janet Leigh (the female lead in Psycho) and how she refuses to take showers and only takes baths since the movie. And it was right during the shower bit and I almost peed my pants.
I totally wish you the actors and actresses could wear like a go pro during the performance. To see the whole show from their eyes... It would be awesome!!
LiLGro94xoxo I thought I was the only person who thought this
Ugh that should exist
I wanted this too.
They could easily sew a body cam into Elphaba's costumes since they're so heavy and dark
This new-found knowledge about the show only makes me want to see it again.
Allison Anon Yep! :)
Elphie Girl I only seen it once I am trying to get my grandpa to get tickets
I looove when they're in the greenifying process and all of a sudden, the show starts up again and you can hear it, but everyone keeps on going as if nothing's happening. Ugh, I love it.
She has such a nice vibe! didn't knew her and now loving her
That makes no sense, u gotta know someone to love them...
13:43 I would of died if Lindsay said “I’m melting, I’m melting!” 😂💚
that would’ve been hilarious!
Wait, so the lift goes higher during the "nobody in all of Oz..." part of Defying Gravity? I never noticed that!
+Daniel Epps good for you...XD
Yea i never really got why it does but oh well! LOL
David Pontrella
Maybe it’s because after, she says “is ever gonna bring me down!” And so she is getting higher, defying gravity showing that no one can pull her down, no matter how high she is. Lol, idk, though.

+Elphie Girl I sing in the shower and i love your name Elphie girl =)
Natalie Garcia-Foster I sing in the shower sometimes too. The steam really helps the chords. And thanks! :) I LOVE Wicked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hahahah fun fact.... Lindsay doesn’t really sing in the shower anymore because while she was doing Carousel, her vocal coach told her not to and now she doesn’t anymore 😭

Poor Elphaba! She's stuck up there in the lift while everyone else gets to go on intermission. Lol, the price of Wicked fame. 😂 Thanks Lindsay! 💚🖤

Same but not for Glinda ...Mabe I would have to work on a hi voice
I will be auditioning for Elphaba. How do you get auditions for the West End though?

I hope you are!! I bet you’d be cool.

I would love to see more of lindsay and derek and the rest of the team :)
Awww.. I'm sad its ending... Oh well, it was an amazing journey to go backstage at Wicked :)
You're an epic singer!
They only use one kind of green, it's a chromacake water based makeup from MAC that was already available before the show existed, think it's called Landscape Green. 'dat applause gave me chills!
“Hibrowwaydocom” 😂
So cool to see the flying from Lindsay's perspective. The made up words to Defying Gravity were funny.
1) WHERE WAS DEREK?!?! OH MY GOD
2) NO LINDSAY YOU HAVE TO KEEP DOING THESE VLOGS UNTIL YOU LEAVE
3) thank you so much for doing the lift thing I've always to see that!
4) the curtain call was really cute, what I would give to to be greeted with that applause every day
YES YES YES... we need a Season 2 and it should start next week :)
Calls places *still getting makeup done and not in costume.* that happened to me once and I was dying 😂
Second season! Please! :(
So, first monday without Fly Girl.
all i can say is, it is not the same, this was so much fun and interesting. please think about a second season. i would love it. All the best from Germany to the cast os a great great Show.

Am I the only one who prefers Lindsay’s random version of DG while she’s just making up lines to the actual one 😂
