tbh i cant wait for this drama to be over and done with. don't get me wrong, i still love & appreciate the roller coaster ride it took us on and ik its not the end til its the end but let's be honest clowns, we've been robbed every single ep, i dont need a plot twist at the very end just for the sake of it ya know? 🤡
i just want to see han jipyeong live a content & happy life. maybe with dalmi, maybe not. either way he deserves all the love the world could possibly offer.

NJH is the male lead and we can't change that. But there's no harm in making the main leads "just friends"/"a history". Writers should step it up. Main leads not ending up together is not a "tragic ending" nor an "open ending". It can be just an "ending". A happy one and realistic one in that case.
i hear u! its about time dramas should end the ml+fl story and focus on realistic ones. half of the world population does not end up living happily ever after with their significant other, but love comes in soo many different forms. i think the most disappointing part about start-up for me is the jumpy timeline. it started of amazing, like fr i look fwd to it every single day. but how they just diminished the backstory when its literally the essence of the whole show left me in a daze. why would they create, to me, such an intricate character like jp to just have an insignificant ending? it doesnt make sense. tbh at this point even if its endgame for jidal, i wished Park Hye Ryun showcased jidal love differently. dm nvr at all opened up to jp or ask him bout the letters (for 3 years lol) and the fact that she cried about ds infront of jp..my heart broke for jp. i just hope they would do us justice for the last 2 eps and not squeeze everything at the end. sorry for the rant but there off my chest hahaha
@@kinofml2821 The time jump is actually quite unrealistic. I mean I get their lifestyle and social status improvement but the relationships didn't even change a thing. I mean, DM and DS could still have an underlying feelings for each other but totally not being able to move on is quite unrealistic. They've been apart for three years and during those three years, they are occupied with their careers. There feelings must have been put aside and could have just resurfaced when they started encountering each other again. Instead of three years, it felt like three months.
The only relationships that improved are Seo family. With Dalmi and Injae, and Grandma and her Mom.

@Aesth Kim Who deserves each other.... Bcuz at some point, I don't even think Dalmi deserves JP. He's been always there and Dalmi didn't even tried to give him a chance, she didn't even ask him about the letters. At this point, he's just too good for anyone.

I still believe that story wise the best ending for this show is for Dosan to realise what is his dream , confront dalmi on her feelings to find out what she truly desire ( I think without realizing it yet she is in love with ji-pyeong) . Then like the " leaving Buddha" he is , giving up on her so that she can finally go to the Love of her life . But hey 😅😅😅 that's just me with my hopes and dreams. Only few days left to finally figured out this damn show.😅🤭
Even though Jidal isn’t going to be endgame in this lifetime they ended up together in an alternate universe.

@@Celaena oh, Chaol was a good guy indeed. But Rowan is simply amazing extraordinary. 😊 The Court series is pretty good too, and I suddenly got some feelings that has parallels with Start Up. I must be too addicted to this drama 🤦♀️😂 that I started to see things that are not there.

if jidal is the endgame then i guess all of this edits will be totally worth it. i think they broke the record of the most fmv in the kdrama industry tbh, in short their ship is definitely trending and interesting. its so funny and interesting how weekly i am waiting here in the youtube as if im waiting for the next part of the story cause every edits of jidal feels like telling a story and imagine if they end up together then all of this edits will finally have their own endings too:)

Right! This whole drama was about him from the first scene.. He is such a big catalyst in everyone's story.. His character has gone throught the most development. When you see the startup poster of nam junhyuk and Suzy you think it's about them but actually this whole drama was about Kim seonho

Even if JP has small screen space, his presence with DM makes more impact than Dosan. Don’t know how it ends with JP but if he doesn’t get better ending whole drama will be worthless .

Just finished watching episode 15 and I can tell you this episode ached me too much😣..I even scream at the scene telling HJP to not tell it to NDS & please be selfish a bit..but HJP is Goodboy so I seriously cry a lot for him🤧..I have been K-drama fan for years and this is not the first 2nd lead that I support but this one is too much heartbreak for me🥺..Kim Seonho is such a great actor and he amazed me everytime with his scene..😍😍

I just rewatch the entire show again to understand what went wrong, I came to the same conclusion . Han ji-pyeong is no second lead in this drama, he is literally everywhere. He is the corner guy that make sure Dalmi doesn't get hurt, more than anyone he protect her in a way that makes you just 😲. I believe that the writers build these scenes for a reason . That character is from my point of view the most beautiful character in the show. There's no chance in hell Dalmi gonna let him go 😳 and if she does she's just a "Pabo" ...

Absolutely the same thought. The build-up of his story is either perfect for the story or just a cruel bait that Park Hye Ryun made to lure us in. I keep rethinking it, what did I miss, where did it went wrong. Even every chances that people think he missed, it was all just perfect set of struggles to build the best ending for Jidal. But if there's one thing that I know about Park Hye Ryun's writing is that she is loyal to her main leads. She even did a similar thing with Pinocchio's 2nd lead. The lead actress had been texting the number she thought was her mom's, to find out later on that it was the 2nd lead all along. (It also gave her a sense of comfort) Grandma was actually the mother of the 2nd lead there😆. I just hope that PHR have really went out of her comfort zone and very obvious patterns. She's really good at building lovable 2nd leads like Eun Tak in WYWS and now HJP.

The fact that so many scenes (and cliche romantic ones) of Dalmi with Dosan were shown despite his just having arrived versus no flashbacks of 3 years (!) of Dalmi with JP makes it pretty obvious what the intended ending is.
Someone said that the writers gave all the main starter storyline, characteristics and relation of a lead character to Jipyeong and then made him the second lead. I agree.
Then they brought a new character to reckon everything he did, try to erase his competition & the past they had built just to show he has the ability to do it, then made that one the lead character.
Its hearbreaking to see Han Jipyeong get hurt 😭

Ok, everybody thinks it's over for JP with Dal mi piggybacking Do-san back to Seoul. Not me. Dal mi told Do-san that she had to BEG his parents to tell how to find him. From the conversation between Do-san's mom and dad, I don't think Dal mi had to "beg" for very long. She told DS that "we need to talk." Talk about what? We did not hear much of what they were talking about, did we?. She even fell asleep before eating the ramen. And in the morning, all we hear is Dal mi talking business to Do-san. Dal mi's dream is not Do-san, but to become the Steve Job of Korea. She is one tough, tenacious, and in JP's words "pretty resilient" young lady who has mastered the art of the deal. And it seems like she got the team she needed to help her realize her dream.
Two more episodes to go. It's "two outs in the bottom of the ninth and a full count." I think JP will swing for the fences and score a home run. My two cents! 😎

I have seen sooo many theories of them being the end game dont want to clown myself it is so hard to accept dosan and dalmi one question that everyone asks abut that romance is why does she like him or what does she like other than his big hands , now i dont want to ride the clown train but i really get soooo sad seeing him like this , and yes he deserves happiness but what if dalmi is the one who makes him so happy then is this even fair he was there 15 years ago he was there for 3 years he has always done the best for her no wonder people are so passionately rooting for him , how can dosan come back and be like oh i like u now come back , their chemistry all the parallelisms i mean he loves her so much pretty sure he would go to any extent for her and the lack of chemistry between leads it cringey and corny to the point now it is unbearable .
The plot is shit will not even comment on that the only way of redemption is the end game han jipyeong and seo dalmi i dont know why she never rejected him he has confessed multiple time directly or indirectly
Also if she would sit and think she would actually think abut all the things this guy has done for her dosan wasnt even there most of the time they only had like 4 months.
All of us are pinning on to 1% hope wasnt even hoping but reading some spectacular theories , i will hold on to that hope but mentally i am prepared to be heartbroken
One thing i want to say is ksh oh my god that guy is rolling he is everywhere sometimes i feel they are using his popularity and demand and then again he deserves all this and more to the point he is no 1 on brand reputation that is huge completely stole the spotlight even koreans are rooting for him he is the one who trends all the time , if someone is going to be nominated for awards from this drama next year pretty sure its only going to be him because the plot is garbage so even if hjp is unhappy we got the iconic ksh .
he told her directly that he like her and he's obviously loving her through the little things he did and still doing for her, Dm knows it very well but she is not giving a proper answer, she's not accepting him or rejecting him, she didn't even asked about the letters witch is the normal thing to do -_-...I don't know but it feels like something is missing.

Nam do San has become a pain in the drama. Even Dalmi went to him with beautiful makeup and cloth, he asked to not to meet him again. And the forest trip, only sharing business ideas. If they love actually why ji pyong is getting involved. At least a fair lady should be hitting on good boy at this stage. What they want from jipyong. To live alone without Dalmi. I hope final 2 episode will be amazing as first 2 ep. Or else I even will not recommend the drama to anyone because all fall for good boy charms and end up sad... I love this drama cause I had kim seon ho

Yes, you are so right, he helped everyone and got nothing but helping other orphan boys in the end. Growing up an orphan alone got help from Grandma and writing those letters help build him up as well as the granddaughter and he became successful still helping others but receive no affection from the woman he loved, whereas the immature one got double families extended friends, everything, but the one who helped them all ended up still alone, terrible ending.

I really wish! If it goes the "Daddy-long-legs" way then HJP will give up on DM for her happiness but DM will choose him. In the book, he was ill for a period of time. K-drama version: he will be hit by the "truck/car of doom" while saving grandma. DM will receive a phone call while she is with DS and runs distraught to the hospital. HJP's life will be in the balance.....and DM will confess her love for him. How's that Jidal Shippers? (PS I did not watch ep 10,11,13,14. Gave up after ep 9, saw 12, more of the same, didn't bother to watch after)

I really hate this drama .Han ji-pyeong is the only true character in this show and yet, somehow he is the only one that is being thrown in the trash. Running from place to place. Only for people not even acknowledging all the things he did to keep them standing. I mean why ? Why? Why does he have to struggle non stop for 16 episode 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️. I really really hate this drama.
