@@RBDWMB x570 boards came with Rebar option even in the first BIOS releases. Just ensure to enable the Above 4G Decoding option in your BIOS and the Rebar option should "magically" appear. Oh... btw, just to be sure, UPDATE YOUR MOTHERBOARD BIOS to the latest version because the Aorus x570 need bios version F33G or newer to show the Rebar option
As always for ReBar to work, you also need: 1. Above 4G decoding to be enabled in BIOS 2. ReBar to be enabled (or set to Auto) in BIOS 3. Your Windows install to be UEFI based and not Legacy based 4. Regarding point 3, that means you need a GPT partition, not legacy MBR. 5. UEFI means CSM in BIOS needs to be disabled

Hey, I have the same card as yours but when I use the reg file, Resize Bar still looks disabled on my AMD. And I cannot find Resize bar in Bios too. How can I handle this?
Thanks! Got it working on a 5600x Vega 56 on the new 23.2.1 driver. For those having trouble use GPU-Z, Advanced Tab and where it says general click and choose PCIe Resizable BAR. If everything except Driver support and GPU Hardware Support say yes, you should be able to get it working. You can also check Device Manager, GPU, Resources and it should say Large Memory Range. If all those check out it's a question of possibly reinstalling the driver, running the free DDU utility to clean things out and start from scratch. For me it took a couple of reboots to change. I think I shut Windows down the first time and it didn't take. Uninstalled the mod, installed it again, checked the registry location to make sure the legacy entry was there and rebooted and it was no longer greyed out.
I wanted to try this but I needed to update the BIOS to enable ReBar. So I updated the BIOS for the first time in my computer and enable 4G decoding and ReBar after the BIOS update. To my surprise, after restarting the PC and going to the AMD Software, SAM was already enable by default :D. (My CPU is a Ryzen 5 3600 and GPU is Rx 5700). Without your video I would've never know that my Hardware was already compatible with SAM and I just needed a BIOS update. Thank you so much :D
This technology is amazing, i have a Rx 6750xt, I play competitive games and after enabling SAM. I got 10 to 15 fps more on average. Ty for amazing videos and keep up the great work man.
You sir are a legend! Running win10 LTSC on Asrock B450M SL (4.60 bios), AMD 2600x with MSI RX580 8gb (core 1400mhz/1090mv, vram 2200mhz/970mv, +40-50% PWR, fan curve and now SAM! All thanks to you!) , G.skill Ripjaws 2x 8gb 3200mhz. I downloaded and installed the reg file, rebooted then usual disappointment, then I followed what @Rares Macovei said and enabled 4G decoding and a couple more things below that and boom I have smart access memory enabled! Thank you Rares Macovei, you saved my 4ss, I thought once again my gear is too old and slow lol but no it works! Came back to say this because I know AG is own top of his comments, a stand-up man for that I might add, way to back up your business. Reliability is rare and priceless. Going to test it out now before PUBG goes down for maintenance :(

Okay. Finally have Rebar/SAM working. Thank-you very much! Did a quick and dirty bench in Red dead Redemption 2 and my averages went up by almost 10 fps. Pro tip, undervolt your GPU. after doing that my minimums went from around 30fps to 50fps. With FSR set to quality and custom mix of high/medium/ultra at 1440p my bench resulted in Min 50.584 Max 98.2 with an average 73.9. My averages before were hovering around 60fps. System is an Asus Crosshair VII X470, 32GB's of G.Skill 3200 CAS 14 Clocked to 3600Mhz. CPU 5800X3D. Asus Strix Vega 64. Windows 10. Thanks again!
AMD really are doing a disservice to their customers by not giving them the best experience possible on older hardware. It would go a long way to increasing mindshare. Not that Nvidia is teh bomb, but they are not the underdogs here.
Its pretty cool, I will definitely try this, looks much better than using the modded drivers.. I have 5900X and new motherboard with it, but because of not really exciting gpu releases I am still running Vega64. AMD is just trying so hard to be as bad as Nvidia, I have their cpu, their motherboard that even support PCIE 4, but I have Vega and not RDNA based gpu, so no new features for me. But the rebar or smart memory, it was all supposed to work years ago with pcie3, just both manufacturers restricted it to "next gen".
This video is the very reason I Picked AMD over Nvidia and well the cheaper price too of course but yea AMD cards have more memory and just are more future proof and AMD allows mods to run on their cards with their open code and I don't know about you guys but I mod all my games like Skyrim and fallout 4 and you need a ton of memory. YES. This is very important. The orginal reg file was working on a RX580. Then I changed to an Nvidia card for a while and when I changed back to the RX580, the rebar stopped working no matter what I tried. I modified the reg file by copying and adding all the original lines below the original but changed the path in the second path to 0001. That fixed it. SAM working again on RX580. Thanks for that tip CyanogenPlayer.

I just did a quick test on my slightly undervolted Asus Vega 56 together with a Ryzen 7 3700x and now I have 80 to 85 instead of 70-71 on Forza 5 with my mixed High to Ultra Settings on 1440p with AMD's upscaling tech on quality in heavy areas, thats awsome!. Coming with news, after using the script I have an extra performance in Death Stranding at 2k, texture settings Ultra, CAS enabled, motion blur off of + 7-10 fps. The experience seems smoother since I Activated the SAM on my old Sapphire Nitro RX 480 8GB. Tomorrow I will try the new driver to see if anything will be changed. Ty again Fabio!
Resizable BAR simply cannot work on 4 GB or less VRAM. Remember what you need to enable in the BIOS to make it work: "Above 4G decoding". If it is not above 4G it does not apply. That's why it does not work on a 4GB RX 570, but it does on the 8GB. If it shows as working it probably has no effect.
I actually followed xcuri0's guide and i didn't even make it to 4g decode ifr edit because my motherbaord (asrock h81m) doesn't support or even show it in bios. But I'm curious though, what if I just insert the ffs module only without 4g decode? Would it work? I'm gonna try to flash tomorrow to see if it works. I have RX 580 8gb though.
Also, you need to activate the feature in the BIOS of the motherboard. In some cases, BIOS will required an update, which makes the whole operation a bit more complicated and takes a bit mor than 30 sec. PD: AMD FX and Ryzen are two different arquitecture and instructions set. SAM could not work on older CPU than Ryzen.
@@AncientGameplays Most users are not aware of that requirement. Also, choose the correct BIOS version and update it are non-trivial operation for most users.
With my MSI 650 MB and 6700xt, I had to go into the bios and enable resizable bar. After booting, SAM was automatically enabled by the Radion software. No file uplading required.

@@AncientGameplays New AMD driver conveniently came out today. In the installer I selected factory reset in the options, after that process was completed I ran the registry script and one more restart. Appears that SmartAccess Memory is working in AMD Adrenalin software, GPU-Z still shows the same thing though. It might be working as the Large Memory Range appears under Device Manager > Properties > Resources. Will have to test to confirm.

So actually it worked for me, I activated 4g decoding and ReBar in my BIOS (had UEFI activated already). And now it's on. Got a R7 1700 (old af) and a rx 5600 xt. TYYY

i have an IMPORTANT information to add. you get the MOST out of activating REBAR/SAM only if you have your GPUs pcie slot running at 16x speed and not 8x. because unlike VRAM normally only communicating with GPU core. when REBAR is enabled it directly communicates with RAM/CPU and that only runs through pcie. so make sure the link is as fast as possible. it is easily forgotten! so this tip is mostly for people who have on purpose changed their pcie lane config to 8x/8x because of stuff l ike NVME or crossfire or just because they sometime switched it and never switched back to full 16x.... (which might also explain that some yt benchmark channels have varying results with SAM)
In Battlefield 2042 I don't see massive gains in performance with SAM on but the game feels so much smoother and my response time to everything is so much better now on my RX 590.

Make sure to disable csm in the bios, then enable above 4g decoding and ReBar as well. Use DDU to uninstall drivers, restart, before re-installing use the regedit command and check if the entries are correct. Re-install driver, restart, you now have the SAM toggle enabled in AMD software :)

Thanks a lot for the video ! I think it worked on my motherboard A 320M-A. I have a apu Amd A 10 9700, I did not see the option to activate SAM so in my case i went to registry editor and verified in : Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000 and see the options to unloked sam but not in the Radeon sofware. I tested before in brawhalla my fps before is 60 and now is 180 fps; 7 days to die i have very low fps in 720p (35-40 fps) and now 40-48 fps; Shadow of the tomb raider before 25- 30 fps and now solid fps in 30 - 37 is very playable😄

@@AncientGameplays Maybe I made something stupid or I was prudent for my ignorance , but however now it works and it is gorgeus: i went from 104 fps to 126 fps everage in RDR2, wqhd monitor, textures ultra quality, DirectX12 balanced settings, with an incredible improvement of the CPU, it seems to me, from 10 -15% to 20 - 30%. 5950x doesn't love videogames and videogames are not the reason my computer exists, but I use RDR2 also as a benchmark because I have not a lot of videogames and I love that, and my 5950x at 30%, also with his lighter traditional 4,5Gh 1,25V overclock, consists in a lot of job it does! Gpu had some down even if temps where perfect, but now it is always at 2,5 to 2,6 Gh. It's incredible: if i was happy first, now i'm really astonished. I say this after a game play of hours (when I start RDR2...): only temps are the same they where: a last good notice. Thanks to a your video (and AMD job, of course...) it seems I upgraded today.

I OC my memory on my old system to solve performance issues, I have an Nvidia 1060-6GB so I already have game titles using most of the VRAM available so not much else to do to increase memory efficient. On my next computer build I will definitely check on this technology as game developers try to make the best use out of it and impo the best use to cut RAM usage as much as possible by reallocating resource on the VRAM if there room available but there is also the issue of running out and having the reload everything into RAM all over again so is a tricky feature.
+5 fps on Cyberpunk 2077. Gonna try to undervolt GPU tomorrow, since apparently, latest amd driver fixed the mV issue in the adrenaline tab. Thank you!
To clear things, ResBAR or SMA is NOT a CPU or GPU feature. It's a decade old specification of PCIe 3 bus. Only hardware requirement considering CPU is that is has to be 64bit (today's standard). No requirement on the part of GPU. Video card and motherboard has to be PCIe 3.0+, everything else is just software. So, video card bios has to support this, motherboard's bios as well (shown in video, obviously) and video card's driver. Every other "supposed" requirement is politics (or marketing, take your pick).
@@AncientGameplays Well I don't disagree. My point is that it's not CPU or GPU depedent. I do understand that AMD/nvidia won't waste their money on developing drivers and bioses for legacy products, but why not being honest about it?
Helps even with newer hardware with certain touchy games like Morrowind(even with OpenMW, it can be a little finicky about actually using my GPU. This essentially forces it to. Went from 20fps in Seyda Neen to 35-40. Which is a huge improvement if you know anything about Morrowind, lol)

Success with my Ryzen 5 5600 - RX 570 8GB -MSI B450 Gaming Plus new signed driver 23.2.2. Performance will vary from game to game. So far DOOM Eternal gain the most. I was looking for better performance in MS Flight Sim but not much I can see.
@Ancient Gameplays Compared to 22.12.2, this 23.2.1 driver increased my FPS as below for these 4 games: - Borderlands 3: +4.3% (198.51fps vs 190.40fps) - Cyberpunk 2077: +6.7% (162.95fps vs 152.73fps) - Forza Horizon 5: +4.1% (160.0fps vs 153.7fps) - Guardians of the Galaxy: +1.0% (218fps vs 216fps) All test with built in benchmark, at maximum graphics quality settings @1440p. GPU in default settings. 2 months ago I also compared my results with 22.12.2 driver against TechPowerUp's results with 22.11.2 driver. With 22.12.2 driver I managed to get 10% higher (in average) scores.
10400 / RX 570 4GB / 22.11.2. Monitor blinks after applying reg file and reboot. Fixed by changing values to 0 in safe mode. So be careful and create restore point
ok, i clicked on the newest comment section and this is a mess. 1. easy part, Get a amd 3600 or higher.. its not that hard to get a great deal for a whole PC with a 5600g for around $350 used. "for intel boyz" i think you can get any 10th gen Intel CPU... so anything 10400 and newer "do not get a intel i3 10100" 2. get a rx 6400, or hopefully rx 6600 "way better performance"..... or anything higher 3. It says b550 mobo, but im finding alot of info that almost all major b450 mobo's now in 2024 support SAM. just do research on the b450 first all of you guys in the comment section are talking about rx 580 and all other crazy stuff, thats $100, get a rx6400 and thats $135 and you will have no problem running SAM.. you can get a used rx 6600 for $170 all day long... WAY BETTER PERFORMANCE and you will have SAM So 5600g used pc with b450 mobo= $350 NEW rx 6400= $135 BOOOOOM. for less than $500 you can run SAM. TRY to get a used rx 6600, for just maybe $40 more "compared to rx 6400" you can get a used rx 6600 with way better performance and at under $550 you can run SAM with 5600g, b450 and rx 6600... when you want to upgrade GPU, sell your GPU and you can still lightly game with your 5600g while you wait for your 7000 series amd GPU to come through the mail... the amd 5600g can easily pair with a 7800xt with 0% bottleneck!! you can get the 7900xt and have less than a 7% BN on 4k while doing intense tasks "gaming"! You can OC the 5600g and have 0% BN with the 7900xt! PS, get the 5600gt, 5700g or 8500g and you will have 0% BN with ANY amd cards, THE BEST amd cards available right now have 0% BN with those CPU, and almost no BN with the 5600g overclocked
I've seen many comments here, i had before a R9 380 4gb sapphire for gpu with b450 aorus elite and ryzen 5 3600 and somehow i had the SAM option and it was activated. So for every comment that say that this content creator is lying, you're either doing something wrong. Now, i changed my gpu to a RX6600 but the SAM option is grayed out now, i guess i need to update my bios, but i'm having trouble to do so cause i don't know apparently.

Both xards bebifit from UV and UV+OC so the SAM would perform better.

And probably u need a card with minimum 8GB VRAM. Same happens on unofficial Ammernimez drivers, 4GB cards can't activate SAM.

Patches for ReBar have been committed a while ago.
ReBar is working better on Linux than on windows for old GPUs 😅

Its pretty cool, I will definitely try this, looks much better than using the modded drivers.. I have 5900X and new motherboard with it, but because of not really exciting gpu releases I am still running Vega64. AMD is just trying so hard to be as bad as Nvidia, I have their cpu, their motherboard that even support PCIE 4, but I have Vega and not RDNA based gpu, so no new features for me. But the rebar or smart memory, it was all supposed to work years ago with pcie3, just both manufacturers restricted it to "next gen".

This video is the very reason I Picked AMD over Nvidia and well the cheaper price too of course but yea AMD cards have more memory and just are more future proof and AMD allows mods to run on their cards with their open code and I don't know about you guys but I mod all my games like Skyrim and fallout 4 and you need a ton of memory. I love seeing these older cards getting new life brought back to them, Love the video Fabio awesome job pointing out what SAM does for the older cards!!!

YES. This is very important. The orginal reg file was working on a RX580. Then I changed to an Nvidia card for a while and when I changed back to the RX580, the rebar stopped working no matter what I tried.
I modified the reg file by copying and adding all the original lines below the original but changed the path in the second path to 0001. That fixed it. SAM working again on RX580. Thanks for that tip CyanogenPlayer.

I just did a quick test on my slightly undervolted Asus Vega 56 together with a Ryzen 7 3700x and now I have 80 to 85 instead of 70-71 on Forza 5 with my mixed High to Ultra Settings on 1440p with AMD's upscaling tech on quality in heavy areas, thats awsome!. Did not test all my titles but it looks great for now! Thanks again!

-F1 21 with FSR 1.0: min 94, avarage 109, max 119
-F1 21 with out FSR: min 82, avarage 95, max 104

-The Division 2: 69 avarage
-F1 21 with FSR 1.0: min 99, avarage 112, max 121
-F1 21 with out FSR: min 86, avarage 98, max 107

Coming with news, after using the script I have an extra performance in Death Stranding at 2k, texture settings Ultra, CAS enabled, motion blur off of + 7-10 fps.
The experience seems smoother since I Activated the SAM on my old Sapphire Nitro RX 480 8GB.
Tomorrow I will try the new driver to see if anything will be changed.

Resizable BAR simply cannot work on 4 GB or less VRAM. Remember what you need to enable in the BIOS to make it work: "Above 4G decoding".
If it is not above 4G it does not apply. That's why it does not work on a 4GB RX 570, but it does on the 8GB.
If it shows as working it probably has no effect.
That false though as shown in the video (many users show it as well). You need some aditional steps to make rebar use a max of 2 or 3gb though
I actually followed xcuri0's guide and i didn't even make it to 4g decode ifr edit because my motherbaord (asrock h81m) doesn't support or even show it in bios. But I'm curious though, what if I just insert the ffs module only without 4g decode? Would it work? I'm gonna try to flash tomorrow to see if it works. I have RX 580 8gb though.

Also, you need to activate the feature in the BIOS of the motherboard. In some cases, BIOS will required an update, which makes the whole operation a bit more complicated and takes a bit mor than 30 sec.
PD: AMD FX and Ryzen are two different arquitecture and instructions set. SAM could not work on older CPU than Ryzen.

Also, choose the correct BIOS version and update it are non-trivial operation for most users.
With my MSI 650 MB and 6700xt, I had to go into the bios and enable resizable bar. After booting, SAM was automatically enabled by the Radion software. No file uplading required.
Often amd chipsets need a bios update out of the box to fully use all features.
Well older platforms dont even have that option in bios 🙄 im still using x99 mobo with i7 5960x cpu

Updated registry using the script, checked BIOS for rebar enabled. Using GPU-Z, resizable BAR is enabled
However also in GPU-Z it shows:

@@AncientGameplays New AMD driver conveniently came out today. In the installer I selected factory reset in the options, after that process was completed I ran the registry script and one more restart. Appears that SmartAccess Memory is working in AMD Adrenalin software, GPU-Z still shows the same thing though.
It might be working as the Large Memory Range appears under Device Manager > Properties > Resources. Will have to test to confirm.

I did a Forza Horizon 4 benchmark on the Ultra Preset, 1080p. Increased from 83 to 92 FPS with Smart Access Memory on, 10% improvement.

So actually it worked for me, I activated 4g decoding and ReBar in my BIOS (had UEFI activated already). And now it's on. Got a R7 1700 (old af) and a rx 5600 xt.

if you enabled resizable bar before and you downloaded the reg edit file , and then you go to the SAM and it is disabled , you need to disable and re enable your 4g and resizable bar thanks again

i have an IMPORTANT information to add.
you get the MOST out of activating REBAR/SAM only if you have your GPUs pcie slot running at 16x speed and not 8x. because unlike VRAM normally only communicating with GPU core. when REBAR is enabled it directly communicates with RAM/CPU and that only runs through pcie. so make sure the link is as fast as possible. it is easily forgotten!
so this tip is mostly for people who have on purpose changed their pcie lane config to 8x/8x because of stuff l ike NVME or crossfire or just because they sometime switched it and never switched back to full 16x.... (which might also explain that some yt benchmark channels have varying results with SAM)

In Battlefield 2042 I don't see massive gains in performance with SAM on but the game feels so much smoother and my response time to everything is so much better now on my RX 590.
So you gain performance, just more on the 1% lows I assume

Make sure to disable csm in the bios, then enable above 4g decoding and ReBar as well. Use DDU to uninstall drivers, restart, before re-installing use the regedit command and check if the entries are correct. Re-install driver, restart, you now have the SAM toggle enabled in AMD software :)
Csm shouldnt be enable in any system with even 5 years by now, but yeah

I have a apu Amd A 10 9700, I did not see the option to activate SAM so in my case i went to registry editor and verified in : Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4d36e968-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318}\0000 and see the options to unloked sam but not in the Radeon sofware. I tested before in brawhalla my fps before is 60 and now is 180 fps; 7 days to die i have very low fps in 720p (35-40 fps) and now 40-48 fps; Shadow of the tomb raider before 25- 30 fps and now solid fps in 30 - 37 is very playable😄

@@AncientGameplays Maybe I made something stupid or I was prudent for my ignorance , but however now it works and it is gorgeus: i went from 104 fps to 126 fps everage in RDR2, wqhd monitor, textures ultra quality, DirectX12 balanced settings, with an incredible improvement of the CPU, it seems to me, from 10 -15% to 20 - 30%. 5950x doesn't love videogames and videogames are not the reason my computer exists, but I use RDR2 also as a benchmark because I have not a lot of videogames and I love that, and my 5950x at 30%, also with his lighter traditional 4,5Gh 1,25V overclock, consists in a lot of job it does! Gpu had some down even if temps where perfect, but now it is always at 2,5 to 2,6 Gh. It's incredible: if i was happy first, now i'm really astonished. I say this after a game play of hours (when I start RDR2...): only temps are the same they where: a last good notice.

I OC my memory on my old system to solve performance issues, I have an Nvidia 1060-6GB so I already have game titles using most of the VRAM available so not much else to do to increase memory efficient. On my next computer build I will definitely check on this technology as game developers try to make the best use out of it and impo the best use to cut RAM usage as much as possible by reallocating resource on the VRAM if there room available but there is also the issue of running out and having the reload everything into RAM all over again so is a tricky feature.
Nice, works with my Vega64/b450/3600 rig, tried before with the Amernime Drivers, but that was a hot unstable mess together with SAM.

To clear things, ResBAR or SMA is NOT a CPU or GPU feature. It's a decade old specification of PCIe 3 bus. Only hardware requirement considering CPU is that is has to be 64bit (today's standard). No requirement on the part of GPU. Video card and motherboard has to be PCIe 3.0+, everything else is just software. So, video card bios has to support this, motherboard's bios as well (shown in video, obviously) and video card's driver. Every other "supposed" requirement is politics (or marketing, take your pick).
The thing is not the feature itself but instead the feature optimization

Helps even with newer hardware with certain touchy games like Morrowind(even with OpenMW, it can be a little finicky about actually using my GPU. This essentially forces it to. Went from 20fps in Seyda Neen to 35-40. Which is a huge improvement if you know anything about Morrowind, lol)

Success with my Ryzen 5 5600 - RX 570 8GB -MSI B450 Gaming Plus new signed driver 23.2.2. Performance will vary from game to game. So far DOOM Eternal gain the most. I was looking for better performance in MS Flight Sim but not much I can see.

Compared to 22.12.2, this 23.2.1 driver increased my FPS as below for these 4 games:
- Borderlands 3: +4.3% (198.51fps vs 190.40fps)
- Cyberpunk 2077: +6.7% (162.95fps vs 152.73fps)
- Forza Horizon 5: +4.1% (160.0fps vs 153.7fps)
- Guardians of the Galaxy: +1.0% (218fps vs 216fps)
All test with built in benchmark, at maximum graphics quality settings @1440p. GPU in default settings.
2 months ago I also compared my results with 22.12.2 driver against TechPowerUp's results with 22.11.2 driver. With 22.12.2 driver I managed to get 10% higher (in average) scores.

10400 / RX 570 4GB / 22.11.2. Monitor blinks after applying reg file and reboot. Fixed by changing values to 0 in safe mode. So be careful and create restore point

1. easy part, Get a amd 3600 or higher.. its not that hard to get a great deal for a whole PC with a 5600g for around $350 used.
"for intel boyz" i think you can get any 10th gen Intel CPU... so anything 10400 and newer "do not get a intel i3 10100"
2. get a rx 6400, or hopefully rx 6600 "way better performance"..... or anything higher
3. It says b550 mobo, but im finding alot of info that almost all major b450 mobo's now in 2024 support SAM. just do research on the b450 first
all of you guys in the comment section are talking about rx 580 and all other crazy stuff, thats $100, get a rx6400 and thats $135 and you will have no problem running SAM.. you can get a used rx 6600 for $170 all day long... WAY BETTER PERFORMANCE and you will have SAM
So
5600g used pc with b450 mobo= $350
NEW rx 6400= $135
BOOOOOM. for less than $500 you can run SAM.
TRY to get a used rx 6600, for just maybe $40 more "compared to rx 6400" you can get a used rx 6600 with way better performance and at under $550 you can run SAM with 5600g, b450 and rx 6600...
when you want to upgrade GPU, sell your GPU and you can still lightly game with your 5600g while you wait for your 7000 series amd GPU to come through the mail... the amd 5600g can easily pair with a 7800xt with 0% bottleneck!! you can get the 7900xt and have less than a 7% BN on 4k while doing intense tasks "gaming"! You can OC the 5600g and have 0% BN with the 7900xt!
PS, get the 5600gt, 5700g or 8500g and you will have 0% BN with ANY amd cards, THE BEST amd cards available right now have 0% BN with those CPU, and almost no BN with the 5600g overclocked
For anyone having issues to boot up with Sam enabled : try to turn on SR-IOV in ur BIOS settings!
I've seen many comments here, i had before a R9 380 4gb sapphire for gpu with b450 aorus elite and ryzen 5 3600 and somehow i had the SAM option and it was activated. So for every comment that say that this content creator is lying, you're either doing something wrong.
Now, i changed my gpu to a RX6600 but the SAM option is grayed out now, i guess i need to update my bios, but i'm having trouble to do so cause i don't know apparently.

You don't need an ssd (but you should use one at least on windows to avoid stutters...), you can simply change to the gpt format via command line
