My top farming game has to be Bohnanza (also by Uwe) It's got so much interaction, bartering and haggling and can be played with up to 7 players. It's also our go-to travel game as it's just a thick deck of cards; perfect for bringing to a backcountry hut!
Uwe is the king of cardboard farming! There are definitely other great farming games out there (including the ones you showcased) but Mr. Rosenberg delivers that homestead feel so consistently
I really love a few farming games, two of them are also in your list: viticulture (sadly only played the base game once yet), fields of arle! Hallertau is in my collection quite a while now, but I have not managed to play it yet, shame on me! :( the other two games in your list seem interesting, but I haven't tried them yet (but I am not planning on getting any more farming games right now). others I really enjoy playing are Agricola, Caverna, Clans of Caledonia, The Colonists (wish I had someone to play this with, really enjoyed it solo, but a 2-player game of this can take up to 7 hours - damn!) and Ora et Labora.. :D
You should definitely go for Hallertau! no doubt about it.. and I agree- no need to own too many farming board games. one or two is enough, just need to make sure you got what you love :)
I'm very surprised Agricola isn't on this list. It doesn't take long to setup, perfect weight, and has lot's of great decisions. I do need to try your other Uwe picks
@IndianaGeologist not saying it's not a good game of course.. I just felt maybe that will be something a bit obvious and wanted also to show some other titles 😊
My favorite farming game is the Farming game released in 1979, great game that my father played when he was a kid and I still enjoy to this day. My favorite fact about the game is that the Russian translation was created in order to help the post Soviet Union Russians to privatize farming
Nice video with great suggestions for board games about farming. The ones you presented are the big ones (at least the box size). I'm searching now for smaller price and box board games, around the same theme since when suggesting games to people here in Portugal, not everyone has €50+ to spend. I saw in the comments of your video, suggestion about Bohnanza, and it seems ok but more on the party side of games. Let's see if I can find something interesting between €20 and €35. By the way, did you compare Viticulture with Vinhos from Vital Lacerda before selecting Viticulture to your top 5? Also, I saw Rahdo runs throught video (and also final thoughts) about the game Dom Pierre and it seems a good game about farming and producing a famous drink from France. Did you knew that game?
Hello! Thank you for commenting.. That is a very good suggestion to actually recommend games with a smaller price, but the thing is that I don't want to recommend a game I haven't tried and usually I go for the big boxes. But I noted that and I will try to do better. About Vinhos- I know Vital Lacerda is a national pride, but I haven't clicked with his games.. but I will give them another try for sure! I tjink that besides Wine there's not a lot in common between Viticulture and Vinhos (I had tje deluxe edition). I've heard a long time ago about Dom Pierre but never got to try it
@@ezbgames I feel the same about recomending games, I need to play them before . About Lacerda's games I still need to try any of his games, but I know that some persons don't feel the click when playing some of his game themes but enjoy others (probably also related with the game mechanics). Anyway I think a game like Viticulture is more easy to hit the table with most of the persons than Vinhos.
For la Granja we use Pokerchips as VP counters. I would aslo highly recommend the gray dice module, the ladies (variable player powers) and the buildings !
I just played the duel version of Agricola and that weird 2 player Catan card game this weekend. Interesting but not my cup of Tea those 2 specific games. The one you present seem to have a more modern look and feel. I wanna try the one with the siesta track.
One of these games I think is my number one game of all time 🍷 and another one of these games I'm playing for the first time with some friends ⭐. So you really need to stop making videos based on my life 😂😂😂
These are all wonderful games. Gameplay wise and theme wise. They all are joyful and happy games. And as such, they ain't my cup of tea. 🫣 Give me "Antiquity" and slap me with famine, serve me death! 😁

I agree 100% there's just no debate.
Thank you for watching the video 😊

That's very very cool! What's the name of the game?
Thank you for sharing 😊

Yes exactly, but at the same time I prefer heavier games than Viticulture. So more chances I'd like Vinhos 😊

I will definitely give it another try with your recommendations. Thank you! 😊😊
Very cool to hear your thoughts on these games
Thank you 😊
I enjoyed making it. Taking a break a bit from my usual war games 😅

Catan duel has an interesting take on Catan, which is.... cute but nothing more than that.
You should definitely try La Granja it's a fun game!

That's why we got connected early on brother 😊
I know Viticulture is your #1 ❤
@@ezbgames yup! And playing stardew later today. In fact, I was reading the rules just now 😅😅
Let me know if I can help with anything. And enjoy the game!
